Pink Roses Vanity Assortment Vintage pink roses porcelain vanity accessory assortment. Some items are vintage, but not sure on others. All feature pink roses. First is a gorgeous Royal Sealy vintage covered porcelain footed jar w/foil label on bottom, good condition, 4.5 wide x 5 tall; (you can use it for powder, pins etc.). It has a lustre finish with large roses and gold trim. Next is a beautiful shaving mug, good condition, 3.5 tall x 3 wide; next is a an 11 inch decorative plate with 2 backstamps: Shumanh Arzberg Germany, and E&R Melrose, est. 1886, #30 with cutout edge, (E&R is the importer's mark for Ebeling & Reuss Co.); next is a small vintage oval dish, (soap dish?) with green underglaze mark for Epiag, Cecho-slovakia, (Elbogen Bohemia, c:1941-1945). Next is a lovely porcelain tumbler with gold number #8135, (likely German), and is 3.75 tall x 2.75 wide. Very feminine, pretty items to set on a shelf in your new, made to look vintage powder room, or atop a vanity table or washstand! Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy!

Porcelain Vanity Tray and Accessories Fabulous porcelain vanity tray with accessories. Large, elegant feminine tray with matching cologne bottles, and a powder box. You are only paying for the tray and cologne bottles, the powder box is free since the lid has a crack in it. The tray looks small in the photos because I had to take the shot from afar to fit it all in. The tray has a blue beehive mark and number which looks like a Royal Vienna mark, however, it is an overglaze mark, thus, it may be another company from the same region. RV marks are supposed to be under the glaze, however, porcelain vanity tray bottoms are rarely glazed. According to research, about 40 other factories in the same geographic region copied Royal Vienna items, and depending on the quality of the item, they can be quite pricey. See Antiques Roadshow; a RV copy was worth $5-$8,000! Whether this is a true RV mark or another company from that region is not certain. The tray has a blue number #7730 and beehive; and no chips or cracks, and is 16 x 12 inches; raised painted flowers, and gold accents. The cologne bottles are 10.5 tall; just showing some wear off the gold on the stoppers; and are numbered: #7727 with blue beehive mark, no chips or cracks. The powder box is also numbered #7727 with blue beehive symbol; the lid had been previously repaired by someone, and the gold is somewhat worn on top finial. Aside from the crack on the powder box, this entire set is in very good condition, and is quite stunning whether it is RV or another similar company. It came from a very affluent estate sale; folks went into assisted living. 9/05brdwn

Vintage Flower Mustache Mug Vintage porcelain mustache mug. The bakelite brush is not included, just for display photo but is being sold with another assortment of shaving items. The mug is likely German, and probably antique. It has a faint blue crown symbol on bottom and gold numbers/letters that I cannot really make out. The roses are hand painted under glaze. It has one flaw; a little hairline crack on handle, (the part that attaches to the mug; seal with a bead of superglue). It stands 3.25 tall x 3.5 wide. est.cs.2/07+brncsx2

Vintage Porcelain German Beer Stein Vintage porcelain German beer stein. This has a very old, worn smooth bottom rim and an old green triangle backstamp: BMF N, (Barischmetalbabrik). The lid is pewter with Rein Zinn BMF mark. I could not locate this particular green backstamp on the net; just the newer looking BMF triangle raised mark. The pewter is also very dark on the exterior of lid indicating some age. It is 6.75 tall up to lid finial, or 5.25 tall up to lid x 4 wide at the bottom. It is porcelain, not milk glass. Some age/wear on the outer handle pewter part, (tarnish), but overall, it is in good display condition. I am fairly confident it was made before WW2, possibly even before WW1. A nice addition to your stein or barware collection! 6/15

Antique Limoges Cabinet Plate Pouyat Antique Pouyat Limoges decorative rose plate. c:1890-1932. 7.5 inches wide; green underglaze backstamp: J.P. line over L. France; (the mark is shown in M. Gaston's book.) It appears as though there might be an artist's signature on this, however, it is very hard to tell for sure; see closeup pic where the 2 curved lines are. Very nice fine painting depicting roses. This would make an exquisite, one of a kind gift!

Limoges Antique Signed Tray Antique hand painted artist signed Pouyat French limoges porcelain tray. c:1899. Signed, Anna K. Stiotel '99, with green J.P.L. over France backstamp. The painting is quite exquisite, and if it weren't signed Anna K. Stiotel it could easily be mistaken for a Bischoff painting. There is a lot of depth in the painting; it is not just roses on a blank background. No chips, cracks, or repairs. It does have a couple of tiny aging flaws: some white/straw marks on the pink rose and the burdgandy rose, and some wear off the gold on the handle as can be expected for a 100+ year tray. It is 12.5 long x 8.75 wide. Ornately scrolled shape with pierced handles. 5/03brcs

Limoges Jardiniere Antique Guerin Stunning antique Guerin Limoges porcelain jardiniere. c:1900-1932. Features large poppies w/black background. A similar jard, albeit with white background is shown on pg. 149 of M. Gaston's book. This jard is marked, but the mark is hard to see in the picture; the book shows the mark on pg. 134, mark 3, if you need to see it more clearly. No chips or cracks and has a 23 inch diameter; and is 5.5 across top rim; and 5.25 tall. It has one 1 inch scratch on one side, (against the black background), which is really only visible if you have this in front of your nose in clear lighting. A unique quality piece! Fabulous in an oriental or traditional/classic style room.

doulton10819

Antique Doulton Biscuit Jar Sensational antique Doulton & Co. earthenware biscuit jar. c: 1858-1891. It appears to be hand painted and is in 'very good antique' condition. The bottom has a tiny incised mark: 'Doulton', (predecesser of Royal Doulton), and a red underglaze mark: 'A2171', and initials: 'WJ', (artist's initials I presume). Very difficult to get a picture of the marks due to the color of jar and being that the lettering is very tiny and worn; you need a good magnifier. The metal is silverplate, very sturdy, but unmarked; just the interior underside of lid is pitted, see pic#8. The silverplate has become darker since I took the pics; tarnish, as expected, but I leave the polishing up to you. This is a good sized jar, standing 9 inches tall up to top of handle; 7 tall to finial; or 6 tall if measuring up to lid rim. Some faint crazing on body and bottom of jar, really not noticeable unless you are under a strong light; and there is a small discolored spot of spidering on the interior bottom as expected for its age and use. One side of the jar has a crouching hunting dog amongst the flowers, and the other side has a quail. This is an amazing piece of earthenware. I have not come across anything comparable to this jar. shau-11-07

vase20832

Large Antique Porcelain Vase Nippon? Large stunning antique porcelain vase. Magnificent vase. Definitely looks like Nippon, but it is not marked so it was probably not made for export. It is much better looking than the photos are showing. It has gorgeous hand painted roses, beading and gold overlay. It is 13.75 tall. It has some minor flaws, but displays very well. Flaws: some straw marks, a 1/4 inch white spot, (where color did not adhere to the porcelain); a tiny white spot on rim, (gold has flecked off), a yellowish spot, (might be old price tag or paper label glue), and the top is somewhat irregularly shaped but does appear to be the original so it might be a hand thrown vase. It has a well-worn bottom rim indicating a lot of age. It is a fabulous vase despite the aging flaws.
Circa: pre 1921
