Large antique porcelain vase. Definitely looks like Nippon but it is not marked. It has gorgeous hand painted roses, beading and gold overlay. It is 13.75 tall. It has some minor flaws, but displays very well. Flaws: some straw marks, a 1/4 inch white spot, (where color did not adhere to the clay); a tiny white spot on rim, (gold has flecked off), a yellowish spot, (might be old price tag or paper label glue), and the top is somewhat irregularly shaped but does appear to be the original; it might be a hand thrown vase. It has a well worn bottom rim indicating a lot of age. It is a fabulous vase despite the aging flaws. 10.06.au# |
