Vintage Brass Tobacco? Box
Vintage enameled brass tobacco? box. Great unique gift! It has black enameling and a wood lining. Very heavy for its size. This is likely an old tobacco/cigarette/snuff box - I base that on the wood lining inside. It has brass hinges and measures 4.75 x 3.25 x 2 high. It also has a small inlaid design on the interior of the lid and box, but I do not know what these symbols mean. The little lever on the front of the box turns so that the latch stays closed. It is a very lovely decorative display item for your office, library, or bookcase, especially if you love quality brass pieces. This would make a great gift for the person who loves beautiful unique items, or the vintage box collector! Age est: early 20th C.

German Repousse Brass Box
Vintage German repousse brass box. Age estimate: pre WW1. Wood lined, thus it is likely a tobacco/snuff box. Incised mark on bottom: Germany. 'Good vintage' condition; and likely dates to the early 20th C, and perhaps earlier. Exterior has raised/embossed relief designs all around; horses, trees, people, castle, hawk, etc. It is 2.25 tall, 4.75 long x 4 wide. A wonderful box to display or use!

Antique enameled brass box. Sorry the pics are blurry, but it is a very unique box! It is a wood lined brass box with enameling on the top with various round medallions featuring different animals and things on them. The wood inside the box has a very dark, rich patina. This was most likely a cigarette/tobacco/snuff box. Good condition and is 3 x 3.5 wide x 2 tall. Age est: early 20th C.

Pedestal Antique Toothpick or Cigarette Holder
Antique pressed glass toothpick holder or cigarette holder. It glows yellow under black light indicating it was made before 1916. I think the pattern name is called, 'Texas', and shown on page 205 of the book on Toothpick Holders. It has no cracks, one dot size fleabite the pedestal area, see photo #5, and a couple of tiny scratches. It is 2.75 tall with 3 mold lines. The overall condition is what I would consider good for its age. If you love antique glass, this would make a nice addition to your collection! 3/16

Vintage Cased Glass Urn
Vintage cased milk glass small urn. This was said to be a 'Victorian match holder'. It might also be a toothpick or cigarette holder or posy vase. You could use it for any of the above items. It is only 2.75 tall x 3 wide, and has a mold line on each side. It has a leaf motif which is hard to see on the upper portion. A similar item is shown on pg. 161 of the 1995 book by B. Newbound, same shape, but the picture is not clear enough to see if that item has the leaf design on it, and the one in the book is solid white, not green and white). A unique gift for the vintage milk glass collector!

Saltglaze Covered Jar Crock
Antique saltglaze crock with tobacco spits. The large brown spots are called: tobacco spits. This is likely a tobacco jar but possibly a cookie jar. It is very rare to find a lid with these old saltglaze crocks. The lid has 3 tobacco spits on it; that is what the large brown spots are called. It is in nice antique condition; just a few minor flaws. There is an old dark smooth chip on rim edge, see magnified close up photo #7. A small fleabite on interior rim edge which does not show when lid is on, and some bubble pops in the body surface, see photo #6. Those flaws do not devalue the price on old stoneware because they are considered insignificant. If it had a large crack or a large chip which was very noticeable, then it would diminish the price. I did some preliminary research for a comparable item on the net and could find nothing similar with a lid. I did find one item in my old Red Wing book that is similar but a bit slimmer shape and that was a snuff jar. This item is bigger and fatter so I don't think it was a snuff jar. So either there weren't many made or they just did not survive the years. 12/16

Pairpoint Antique Tobacco Caddy
Antique Pairpoint quadruple plate tobacco caddy. c:1880+. Very unique antique! Incised mark: Pairpoint Mfg. Co., New Bedford, Mass. Quadruple Plate with 'P' in center or diamond. #2773. Four bun feet. Two sides open. On interior there is a round attachment, not sure what it is for but it could hold a cigar in it. On the flaps that open on one side is a Chief's head and word: Strong; on other side flap are flowers and the word: Medium. So, presumably, one side is for medium tobacco and the other is for the strong stuff :). The box is 6.5 tall x 5 wide x 5.5. Other ends are embossed cherubs holding things that look like musical instruments; one is a triangle, one is a round tambourine? This would make an exceptional gift for the person who has everything; or as a unique furniture accessory even if you don't smoke! 10/10lag#3365

Vintage cigar boxes. Both for one price = $15/each. The larger one reads: Joya De Nicaragua, Numero 6 . . . . Nice condition. The darker box reads: Cuesta-Rey Clear Havana, Aces Boite Nature. Dove-tailed corners on both boxes with colorful picture inside. Good condition on this one but for some red paint splotches on one area of interior bottom of box. These items can be used for display, or to store old stereo viewer cards, to store candles, some make them into purses, etc. Be creative! 9/14

Vintage Scotty Dog Pipe Holder
Vintage Scotty dog pipe holder. Cute, well made pottery cigar holder. It has runners on the bottom so it may be American Bisque, Brush McCoy or Royal Copley; will check the books at some point. I doubt it is Japan due to the weight of it and runners on bottom. It is 5 tall x 10 long x 4 wide. No chips or racks; one white dot within the glaze on one side. You could dot that with black/grey paint if you desire perfection. The tail area is a hole for pipe cleaners or long matches. Very neat vintage item and would make a great gift for the person who smokes out of a pipe! Or, as a barware or game room display accessory. 11/14tn

Vintage Degg Cigar Humidor
Vintage Degg cigar humidor. The moisture item in the lid has the word: Degg or Degge on the lid. This item looks like Sirroco wood which is a composite type of wood product, made from sawdust and glue. Likely dates to the 1930's-40's. This type of wood composite was primarily during the war years, (WW 1 & 2). This attractive item is 6 inches tall x 4.5 wide. It has some minor flaws, but displays nice. Vintage Everdry Matchsafe and Cigarette Case
Vintage Everdry matchsafe and cigarette case. The matchsafe is stainless steel; has the striker on the exterior; top unscrews and you move it side and down and store your stick matches in the container. Bottom has incised mark: Everdry, Park Sherman Co., Springfield, ILL. Note the old State abbrev. on it. It is 2.75 long and in good 'vintage' condition! You also get the vintage cigarette case which is aluminum or tin, not sure. Good condition; marked: Park Industries, Murfreesboro, Tenn. USA. Note the old State abbrev. on it. The cig. case pulls apart, and also has a lever on top which opens a portion of top to remove one cig at a time. These are cool items for the tobacciana or advertising collector! Vintage Porcelain Pipe HP
Awesome vintage porcelain pipe. Porcelain bowl with a bone? bit, and wood stem. This is likely German. The porcelain bowl appears to be hand painted and features 2 horses, 2 colonial dressed gents, and one farmer in a landscape setting. The bowl has a very tight hairline that you need a magnifier to see. Otherwise, it is in good overall vintage display condition. The lid on the bowl appears to be silver plate with a brass finish, the brass finish is wearing off. The interior of bowl is clean, so this pipe was not used. In the tobacciana books, just the porcelain bowls sell for over $775!. The pipe is 13 inches long. A unique antique pipe for any tobacciana collection!

Vintage Folk Art Cigarette Dispenser
Vintage folk art wood cigarette dispenser. Likely antique or close to it. Awesome item. Good overall vintage condition and works. You press the lever and the bird picks up the cigarette from the box. The box is quite detailed, and just has one white worn spot on it, (see pic #4). The paint on the duck is quite striated, indicating a lot of age; one spot of white paint missing on the duck. This item is 6.75 long x 3.25 tall x 3.75 wide. It is very similar to the other cig dispenser I have for sale except that one is metal, and this one is wood and is much older. A great item for an office, library, tobacianna or folk art collection!
