Art Deco Bookends - Struggle
Antique bookends titled 'Struggle'. c:1925, shown in the bookend book but maker is unknown according to the book. Rarity 4 out of 5. These show up as very glossy in the photos but only the figurine has a sheen to it, not the background wall/rock. The camera often makes metal objects look super shiny when they are not really. Good overall condition; grey metal; very old felt on bottoms. There is a small separation line near the shoulder area on one of the male figurines, near the rock wall. These stand 5.25 tall x 4.5 wide. Awesome antique bookends! 3/10lab#2975

Antique JB Lady of Theatre Bookend
Antique JB comedy and tragedy single bookend. aka Lady of The Theatre. c:1920's. Grey metal clad with deep, dark copperery finish. Very dark patina. Love this bookend! Pairs are selling for over $800 on other sites but they look like faux ones. This is the real deal. Raised mark on back: J.B. 1529; front has C.V.V. This item does have some age flaws; some tiny breaks in the metal; some tiny scrape marks on ladies arm and chest. Some scratches on the front oval portion and 2 pinholes near bottom front ledge. Looking at it from a foot away, you really do not see any flaws due to the dark patina on her. The lady is holding 2 actor's masks: comedy & tragedy, and she has wings. This bookend is 6.25 tall x a bit over 4.5 wide x 3.25 deep. One bookend can be used in a bookshelf or cabinet to hold the books against the other end of the cabinet. 10/14

Antique Bradley & Hubbard art nouveau letter holder. Very ornate; has raised B&H lettering on bottom and #3570. It is 6 tall x 4.25 long. It is darker than the picture is showing it; the camera illuminates the metal. A great accessory piece for a victorian or traditional room/desk. Seth Thomas Vintage Clock
Vintage Seth Thomas German desk clock. c: 1975. The calender inside is dated 1975 so I presume this is around the year this was made or sold. It is in really good condition and works when you wind it up. Not sure if it is considered a travel or desk clock. It is 3.5 wide x 3 deep. Just a neat collectible clock! 7/18

Vintage brass stamp box. Very attractive brass stamp box with incised CHINA mark on bottom. It is in good condition and features leaves and inlaid stones. It is almost 4.5 long x 1.5 wide x 1.25 high. In the picture it is the box sitting atop the larger brass box. Very pretty accessory item for your office/desk! Rare Marion Bronze Clad Roosters
Outstanding vintage bronze clad roosters. Signed: MB, for Marion Bronze. Rare items; I have never come across these roosters anywhere else. They are not as bright as the picture is showing them; the camera is illuminating the metal; they actually have a nice patina on them. This company started producing metalware in the 1920's, having taken over Pompeiian Bronze Co. I believe, and continued until 1971. These roosters have cold painting on the crops and feet. They are very well made, quite detailed and heavy. One of the felt pieces came off the bottom and that rooster wobbles just a bit due to the irregularity of the metal scar on the bottom. They are 8.5 tall x 7 wide. Technically, I believe these are 'figurines' not 'bookends', but they can work as bookends due to their weight. Bronze-cladding is a very difficult metal process that is no longer used. They are absolutely gorgeous! Age estimate: 1950's. There is a pair of MB bookends, not roosters, on another site listed for $1275 at this time. Why not get something unique for your partner this holiday? 12/10antcs

Antique wood juror box. This is a hardwood box with dovetailed corners and a velvet lining. Bottom has impressed mark which is hard to make out; it reads: Factory No. 12 3rd, State of New York, Notice: The Many Jurors of the --- contained have charged with all the requirements of law --- This box Every person is cautioned not to xxx, then: Factory No. 12 3rd Dist. N.Y. 50. This box is 9.25 wide x 2.5 tall x 6.75 deep. If you look at it under a lamp you can see the alligatoring in the finish on the wood. It has two very tight splits on exterior of lid, but it is still a very unique antique box all the same!

Lovely large Baccarat crystal sulfide paperweight depicting Herbert Hoover. It has the name 'A. David Paris' on the bottom rim of the sulfide person as well as the etched Baccarat symbol on bottom. Art Glass Signed Paperweight
Beautiful vintage paperweight signed J. Leone. This appears to be an older paperweight. I base that on the amount of age/wear on bottom. You have to wiggle it around in different light to see the signature clearly. There are some tiny scratches on the bottom, but they don't show when weight is upright. This is a very unique looking paperweight; it looks like opaline glass and has black, purple and pink as the main color. It stands 2.5 tall x 2.5 wide. Very pretty paperweight to add to your collection or to give as a gift for Valentine's Day, Secretaries Day, Birthday, etc. It came from the estate of a local collector/dealer. estcs1/13

Vintage Baccarat Paperweight
Vintage Baccarat paperweight. c: 1972. It features a water lily? It is about 3.25 wide x 2.5 to 2.75 tall. It has the date cane that you can see when you look down into it from an angle. Also marked with the Baccarat etched symbol, Baccarat France, #21, 1972. It is clear but has one teensy speck within the glass; too tiny to even get a photo of it and hard to find. You cannot feel anything on the surface so this is just something that happened when it was made. It is a gorgeous paperweight; 51 years old so it is considered vintage. Price is firm. 2/14ducc

Beautiful Baccarat crystal sulfide paperweight depicting Herbert Hoover. It is signed 'A. David Paris' on the rim edge of the sulfide, and it has the etched Baccarat symbol on the bottom. No box. It has 2 tiny scratch marks on the area near the Made in France paper label. This paperweight has a deep cobalt blue bottom and is about 2.5 wide x 1.75 tall. It also has the 'Made in France' paper label on it. For some reason it did not photograph well; it is very striking however. ggauc1.08

Large Glass Paperweight
Large glass paperweight. This is a fairly large glass paperweight with sloped/slant bottom. It is 4 inches tall. Very cool design and coloring inside the glass. This came from an estate auction that had a large collection of paperweights, including many famous maker paperweights. I do not see ay signature on or in it, but sometimes the signatures are very obscure and within the glass itself as a little glob. This would make a nice gift for any occasion! 5/13

Octopus art glass paperweight. This is a very large paperweight; pic #7 shows it next to an average size paperweight. I cannot locate a signature but sometimes the signature is just a dot or blob within the design. Or, it may have had a foil label that fell off. It is a magnificent paperweight that is is 6.5 tall. It is an octopus with kelp/seaweed below it. It came from an estate auction; the collector had a large collection of paperweights including Waterford, Baccarat, etc., so I am confident it is a very collectible piece. Virsu Dated Art Glass Paperweight
Artist signed and dated art glass paperweight. Signed: Virsu 98. I have an art glass vase for sale with this name but I still cannot find any information on this artist or company. Since it is not 20 years old I think that artist or company must no longer be around or not have been in business very long. The paperweight is very nice; a large bubble in it which is intentionally there as well as some tiny bubbles here and there. It is 2 inches tall x almost 4 wide. Blue and orange swirl. A great piece for a collector since it is dated and signed. 7/18
