Huge Antique Mirrored Plateau Huge antique mirrored plateau. These can be used as vanity trays, as table centerpieces to showcase crystal items, or on wetbars to hold your fancy liquor bottles. This one is 15.5 across from metal ends or 13.5 across the mirror. The mirror is silvered glass with a beveled edge. It is the largest round plateau I have come across. It has lots of little scratches and some of the edges of mirror are cloudy, (that is common on these plateaus). It has a metal bottom. Once you set your pretty items on it, you won't see the flaws. If you are in MI area, shipping won't be too bad, but if you are outside the MI ship zone, it will be costly because of the large box size and packaging. This is the largest plateau I've come across; that crystal bowl in one of the photos is also very large. 10/22br

Victorian Plateau Victorian mirrored plateau for sale. Lovely old tray with gold metal surround. Beaded style edge on the silvered mirror; original tin bottom. There is some wear; glass is somewhat cloudy; minor scratches as expected, but once you set your crystal items on it, you won't see the flaws. Most of these antique plateaus are in 'antique' condition; and these flaws are expected. This plateau is 10 wide x 1.75 tall. Great to display a cut crystal bowl or vase on, or perfume bottles, boxes, etc. esaMC9/09

Antique Vanity Jars Antique vanity jars. Both jars for one price. The vanity tray is not included. These are very pretty jars. The lids are brassed tin with a picture of a colonial lady. The glass is very yellow under a black light indicating these were made before 1916. One of the jars has a fissure within the glass; it looks like a crack in the photo but nothing is felt with my fingertip; it is within layers of glass and is very tiny. The lid on one jar has a small corroded spot, see photo. The two flaws, photos 5-6, are tiny and these jars are just lovely despite them! You can use as powder jars or for jewelry and trinkets. 3/15s

Victorian Cut Glass Vanity Jar Victorian ntique cut glass vanity jar. Good sized jar with art nouveau lid. The lid is probably gray metal or pot metal, but could be old silverplate. No hallmarks on it. The glass jar is very bright and clear with some bubbles in it and some straw lines/glass scars here and there. The lines are within the glass itself. The jar is 5 inches tall up to top of lid. Great for your vanity table to put powder or trinkets in or just for display on a mirrored tray! 11/15

vanityjar1018

Victorian Vanity Jar Victorian antique vanity jar. c: 1800's-1916. Gorgeous art nouveau jar that glows a strong yellow under a black night. It is very clear and in good condition; no maker's mark. The lid is tin or pot metal; and this jar would have been used to collect human hair. The Victorians used the hair to make decorative pictures and wigs. This jar is 3.75 tall x 4.5 wide. There is a little scratch on the interior bottom of jar but it doesn't show unless you open the lid and look down into the jar. You could use the jar for pot pourri or pins, etc. This is a beautiful accessory for your vanity table or to give as a unique gift for the feminine lady in your life! 10/18

scentbottle110410

Antique Cut Glass Perfume Bottle Antique cut glass scent bottle. Fairly large double perfume bottle. It is much prettier than the pictures show it. The lids are likely sterling silver even though they look brassy in the photo. One lid has a shield like symbol on it. It does have some common flaws: the lids are dented a bit; one lid comes off the hinge when opening it, and one of the tiny glass stoppers on the bottle is broken off which is common on these antique bottles. You can not see that it is broken off without opening the lid. The bottle is 5 inches long. One bottle is a tiny bit cloudy but not bad; it appears worse than it is in the picture. These are fairly hard to find. Ladies in the Victorian era used these as they walked in case they came upon a bad odor. Sometimes one end had perfume and the other had smelling salts which is why one end might be cloudy. For being over 100 years old it is a very pretty item. 11/10nhcs

spooner1116

Victorian Glass Spooner Victorian glass spooner. c: pre 1916. It pings like Flint glass. The glass has waves in it; 4 mold lines and it glows a strong yellow under a black light indicating it was made before 1916. The pattern reminds me of a pineapple. I have not yet looked in my books for the pattern name. It stands almost 6.5 inches tall; and is very clear in ordinary light. It has a couple of scuffs and scratches; some tiny bubbles within the glass; one is more visible on top area. It has a couple of dot size chigger bites on top rim edge; and some more chigger bites/rough edges along the bottom rim which do not shown when spooner is upright. This could have been used for spoons or celery on a Victorian dining table. You can use it today for a candle, a vase, for pot pourri, or as a spooner! It is a very nice old piece of glass despite the minor age/wear. 11/16

cruetset2014

M. & Co. Antique Cruet Set Elegant antique cruet condiment set. c: pre 1916; the jars glow yellow under black light indicating they were made before the date listed above. Incised mark on bottom: .30, M & Co. EPNS A1, Hard Soldiered 8773. Age est: 1800's-early 1900's. This item was totally tarnished and black when purchased from an estate; I polished a lot of the tarnish away, it could use even more polishing but looks stunning now. It has 2 bottles for oil/vinegar, one bottle for dry mustard, and one that was likely for sugar or pepper. The stand is 9.5 tall x 4.75 wide. All the bottles are clear and just have a bit of dust in the bottoms but I leave the fine cleaning up to you. The sugar/pepper jar with the silverplate lid has some tiny chigger bites on the bottom, nothing noticeable because they are on the bottom. Overall, they are all in what I consider very good antique condition. I could not locate any information on this company so I presume it was not in business very long. The stand has one flaw: one of the corner bars has come detached from the square above it. It is not anything noticeable and you could take it to a jeweler to have it re-soddered to the frame or just leave as is since no one but me will ever be aware of it. This is a very elegant set suitable to use or just display in your formal dining room. 2/14est

glassvase70406

Antique Spooner or Celery Vase Gorgeous antique spooner or celery vase. Age estimate: early 20th C. It is yellowing just a tad. It does not glow yellow under a black light so it is likely Flint Glass and it does have a bell tone when tapping it. 'Hobstar Band' pattern. The books on pressed glass and carnival glass show this pattern but the maker of this pattern is not yet unidentified; the book's author thinks it is either an early Imperial glass pattern or a U.S. Glass pattern. This vase is 6 tall x 4.25 wide, and in antique display condition; there is a chip off the bottom rim near a mold line and a couple of scratches. The scratches are not really visible unless scouring it up close. It displays fine and is still a beautiful vase to use or just display! It will fit right into a Victorian or traditional style room!

Belmont Zipper Antique Cruet Set Antique castor condiment set. aka cruet set. pre 1916. Very Downton Abbey! The glass shows a strong yellow glow under a black UV light. Made by the Belmont Glass Co., pattern is 'Belmont Zipper' according to an e-mailer. Nice set; two bottles have glass finials; one has a metal sifter; other is a dry mustard jar. The bottles with the glass finials have teesny fleabites around top of finials, but nothing visually distracting. The bottles are 5.5 tall. The stand is 8.75 tall x 6.5 wide. The bottles could use a more thorough cleaning; soak in efferdent for good results. A great item to display on your antique breakfront! #1121cryau5.05

biscuitjar0616a

Antique EPNS Biscuit Jar Antique biscuit jar. The handle has an EPNS mark on it but no maker's marks. This is quite an oldie; made 1800's to before 1917. The glass glows a very strong yellow under a black light. If it is just sitting on a shelf, it looks great; if you look at it up close it has a lot of age and wear; bubbles in the glass; some scratching; straw lines; and the lid has some tiny dents which do not show when it is on the jar; etc. See close up photos 7-8. I polished the lid but not the rim. I leave the fine polishing to you. I think its a great old jar despite the age/wear, if you love authentic antique items! It stands 7 inches tall up to lid finial, not counting the handle. 6/16

Antique Victorian Syrup Pitcher Antique Victorian glass syrup pitcher with pewter lid. c:1883. It is much nicer looking in person, than the photos show; and is fatter at the bottom. The interior of lid reads: Patented Mar. 20, '83. It is 7 tall x almost 4 inches wide at bottom. There is a 1.5 inch line in the glass near the center; it is not a scratch or crack; it is a glass flaw/straw mark, see pic #4. This pitcher has a pontil mark on bottom. The pattern might be called quilted diamonds? Overall it displays fine; you won't see the line unless staring at it up close. Lid rim is a bit irregular also. It glows very yellow under a UV/black light indicative of antique glass. 8/13smc

mantlelusters0515

Victorian Cased Glass Mantle Lusters Elegant Victorian cased glass mantle lusters. Please read entire description and view photos. These are statement pieces! Very Downton Abbey! Large pontil mark on bottoms. Hand painted design with raised enameling and beading. They stand 11 inches tall x 4.75 wide at the top. Some of the glass prisms/lustres have tiny chigger bites on the edges; as expected, and one has a small sliver of glass missing; you would only notice this when removing them to clean them. You will also note these lusters have some small divets/pops in the glass and stray paint marks here and there. I believe those are natural flaws from the glass making process, (like bubble pops), and the hand painting itself. The pink and white coloring is identical; the painted scenes on one of the lusters, have some of the red paint missing but you'd only notice that when they are sitting right next to each other and if looking up close. Since they'd be displayed at two ends of something, the difference would not be noticeable. That probably happened over the years when someone attempted to clean/dust them. The hand painting is on the surface, not under a glaze so it would not be unusual to have some paint loss. These items are very old and the flaws are really only noticeable if you are looking for them up close; if they are just sitting on a mantle or breakfront, you probably would never notice any flaws. I think they are stunning despite the minor flaws. If you use paypal, you must be a verified buyer with a confirmed address, otherwise, write a check. As is, as described. If you want to purchase them, e-mail me your zip code first for a more accurate ship quote since shipping may be less if you are in my ship zone. 5/15

Victorian Cased Glass Trio Victorian cased glass vase trio for one price! The tallest one is a Victorian cased blown glass vase with coralene decoration. Pontil mark on bottom. It is 6.25 inches tall. Coralene decoration was used from 1883 to the 1920's. No chips or cracks. Some of the coralene on the edges of some of the flowers/buds appears to be missing; there is just a film where it originally was, or it may have just have been made this way. The small areas are not something readily apparent unless looking for them. The mid sized vase has a polished pontil on the bottom. It is 4.25 tall. It has one small flake off of the top rim ruffle area. It is hard to spot unless looking for it, see photo 6. The small rose bowl shaped vase has a pontil mark on bottom with a faint signature on bottom and #16. I cannot make out the mark. It stands 4 inches tall. No chips or cracks. Everything's better in threes! 8/16
