jardinaire1212

Antique Hand Painted Jardiniere Antique hand painted under glaze jardiniere. The design features an Iris flower. This is likely early Weller, Roseville, Colorado or Brush McCoy. It is 7.75 tall. It has some flaws which is why the price is so low. It looks like a circular portion of the top ruffled area, about 2.25 inches broke off at some point and was glued back on; there is a chipped area within that. You could take it to a pro to have it repaired or leave as is. It is not noticeable when you have it up on a shelf or with a faux plant in it. It has one small spot on ruffled area where the deep brown glaze did not adhere, but this is glazed over and is a lighter brown. See pics 6-8; it was hard to get a good picture of the flaw because the high gloss glaze reflects back. On page 20 of the 1994 book by C. Carlton on Colorado Pottery, there is a similar, but not identical ruffled jard shown with same type of bottom shown. 12/12

Antique Hand Thrown Vase Antique arts & crafts hand thrown vase. It might be an early Brush McCoy or McCoy; (same shape/size as some of the early BM Onyx vases, see pic). It is hefty and no chips or cracks. It has a glaze miss line on body of vase, this is not a crack, pic #2. It stands 6.5 tall. A great piece of art pottery for your collection. It is a green/aqua color; more green than aqua. 4/09nehavantcs

Antique Yellow Ware Bowls Antique Rockingham glazed yellow ware bowls. All three for one price! Being sold as a collectible display item, not for food use as it is antique and is probably not up to today's standards for safe food or liquid usage or storage.T he small mixing bowl is probably very rare. It is very attractive was likely made by Bennington Pottery Co. It has no chips or cracks and is 3 tall x 5.5 wide. It has what may be a potter's initials on bottom that looks like N I or N with a slash mark. No chips or cracks. It is almost 3 inches tall x almost 5.5 wide. Very nice looking antique bowl. You also get the 2 small custard or cereal bowls with it. The smallest is marked USA, and other one is not marked. The smallest is likely early Brush McCoy and is 2 tall x 4.5 wide; other bowl is 5 wide x 2 tall.

Antique Blended Glaze Pitcher Antique blended glaze pitcher. This is likely an early Brush McCoy Kolorkraft piece; or possibly early Roseville or Weller Pottery. This style is also called American Majolica. The colors are green and rose. It has no visible chips or cracks; one glaze flake of bottom that does not show and some pinpops. It does have a lot of crazing that is most visible on the interior; some color seepage lines from when it was originally made, see photos #6, and some vertical spider lines that look like hairlines but are not. It stands 8.5 inches tall. It is a very nice display piece or you could use it as a unique vase!. 12/17

brpmc12036

Brush McCoy Tall Onyx Vase Antique Large antique Brush McCoy brown onyx tall vase. c.1910-30's. Impressive 12 inch brown onyx vase made by the Brush-McCoy Pottery Co. This vase is shown in the 10.5 inch size in the 1992 book by M. Sanford on pg. 45, bottom left side, and did come in the 12 inch size, (see catalog page). This vase is quite heavy; well-made, and has a very worn, aged, smooth dry bottom rim. It has a couple of small scratches on the body, but nothing that you will see unless looking at it up very close in strong lighting. It also has one tiny fleabite on interior of top rim. And, it has all-over faint crazing, only visible in direct sunlight. Nothing really to detract from this magnificent old vase. Great accessory item; put some corkscrew willow branches in it! I will add the shipping onto the invoice after the order is placed. If you want to know what shipping is prior to ordering, email me your zip code.

mccoy80505b

Brush McCoy Willow Ware Cuspidor Antique Brush-McCoy Willow Ware cuspidor. c:1916. Shown in the 1978 book by S. Huxford; the updated value in 1996 was $115-175.00, see pg. 60-61. For a clearer image of the pattern on this cuspidor see the book by M. Sanford, pg. 29, top right; shows a chamber pot with the same design on it; and the cuspidor is shown on pg. 31, top right. It is hard to see the design on the dark brown Willow Ware items, and easier to see on the blue and white Willow Ware. Very heavy and is 5.25 tall x 7.5 wide at top rim. It has one chip off bottom dry rim; barely visible when cuspidor is upright. Also has one clay gouge in body of cuspidor, (that is glazed over). It can be displayed with other stoneware; on a wetbar; or used as a planter for a fern or orchid! A great piece for your BM Pottery or antique stoneware collection!

dogwallpocket10409

Brush McCoy Boxer Wallpocket Vintage Brush McCoy Boxer dog wallpocket planter. A very hard to find item, dates to the 1950's. Good overall condition; just one very tight, small .5 inch hairline near backside upper rim, and some crazing, mainly on back and interior. He also has one tiny line of brown coloring near top rim, (this is under the glaze; paint that apparently did not blend right; only visible if looking down into planter part). It is 7.5 tall x 6.5 long. Incised 542 USA on back; and blue grease pen number 933. Hefty and great to hang on the wall! I'd run a bead of superglue on the hairline just to seal it forever. The hairline is very tight and on the back so I consider this flaw insignificant for pottery that is over 60 years old. It is shown in the BM book by Huxford. You may never come across this one again! 1/09troyantMC

Antique Brush McCoy Onyx Antique Brush McCoy brown onyx glaze vase. c: 1910-1930's. Very rich colors; heavy pottery with 3 digit number on bottom. It is 6.75 tall. It has some flaws, price reflects the flaws. It has some pinpops, clay gouges, and 2 fleabites along bottom rim, one small chip on bottom rim and one tiny chip in top rim which is mainly on interior rim edge. Displays nice as a shelf piece; very rich coloring in this vase. I have another vase, same size and maker for sale separately on the left in one of the pictures. The flaws are common on this old pottery and are not very noticeable unless looking for them. esa#3/09

Pale aqua; heavy duty, no chips or cracks; incised number on bottom #528 and is shown in the book with several different glaze finishes including onyx. This is a very hefty vase; stands 8.5 tall. There is a tiny criss cross firing line on the bottom; it's not a crack, it's a clay separation line from when the pottery is fired; and it has a little clay gouge on body of vase. Very nice old vase. Spring flowers would be lovely in this vase! 3/10actestccV

Brush McCoy? Bulb Bowl Cool vintage bulb bowl or pet feeder. The flower frog is not included. This item looks a lot like the McCoy pet feeder with the circling elephants, but this one has seashells going around it. It is marked as many of my Brush McCoy Pottery is, so I am very confident that it is a BM item. It is listed at another website as a Brush-McCoy 'pet feeder' but I don't think it's a pet feeder. It has incised number #295 on bottom, and three wedged feet. Due to the wedged feet, it is more likely a bulb bowl since pet feeders are flat. It is in good vintage condition; age est; 1920's. Some crazing on it and is 8 wide x 2.25 tall. Great for faux bulb tubers and flowers. 12/10estcsr
