kbakeset12035a

Vintage Sheffield Bakelite Steak Knife Set Vintage Sheffield bakelite steak knife set. 8 matched items, plus one extra similar item; way below book value!. Beautiful marbled black/tan knife set that is shown in B. Mauzy's book on pg. 46. It is an almost complete set; just the large carving knife is missing but I have put in an almost identical knife, (it is a Sheffield bakelite knife, exact same design, but it has a solid black handle instead of the black and tan handle, see picture #6). The matched pieces include a knife sharpener, meat fork, and 6 steak knives. The knife sharpener has an incised mark on metal part: Forged Steel, Sheffield, England; the meat fork has an incised mark: Stainless Plate; and steak knives read: Warranted Cutlery Stainless Steel. Just the set of 6 steak knives alone are worth more than this price!

Crystal Foods Spice Jars and Rack Vintage Crystal Foods spice jars and rack. The wood rack is vintage but was refurbished and painted black. Ceramic handles; drawer on bottom. The jars are vintage; have old State abbrevation on them: Watseka, Ill. They are 3.5 tall x 1.5 wide. I have 14 in this rack. The lids on these jars have also been sprayed painted on the exteriors only; most have sifters inside also. The rack is freestanding or can be hung. It is 14.75 tall x 11 wide x 3 deep. Or, if you want regular glass spice jars, I can add those instead, but I think it will only hold 12 of those, not 14. If you want a more accurate ship quote, e-mail me your zip code prior to ordering. 3/12iestcs

Vintage Spongeware Pitcher Very attractive vintage spongeware pitcher.Being sold as a collectible display item, not for food use as it is antique and is probably not up to today's standards for safe food or liquid usage or storage. Heavy duty; nice size. Interior is white; bottom has dry yellow clay. My guess is UHL Pottery due to the white glaze interior, but it could be another company. No chips or cracks; stands almost 8 inches tall. Saw this one at an antique mall and it was priced at $165 and that one was chipped! 1/12smc

Antique Graniteware Milk Cannister Awesome antique graniteware milk can. Cobalt blue rim; wood bail handle. Minimal wear; just 2 spots on finial where enamel is chipped off. This item is 7 tall to rim edge of 8.75 up to finial. Once used for milk and/or soup, (like a thermos). The rim looks black until you look at it up close under a strong light, then you can see that it is cobalt blue. That little spot that looks like a dent is not a dent; it has those two marks on both sides; it how the lids stays in place. Cool item, hard to find. 3/10esa#2938

Decorated Antique Tole Ware Spice Set Unique antique decorated tin spice set. c.late 1800's. Tole ware tin spice box with 6 spice containers. The exterior of this box has red and green paint on the top; even though outer box is in aged condition, (scratched up), the interior spice tins look pretty darn good for their age! The spice names are legible, and display rather well with the lid open. The names on the tins are: Mace, Nutmeg, Ginger, Cloves, Cinnamon, and Allspice. The box is 4.5 tall x 9 wide x 6 deep. The price is way less than what I paid for it so my loss is your gain! nyrecpt8.04

woodcabinet0316

Recycled Wood Cabinet and Jars Recycled vintage wooden cabinet and spice jars. Not sure if this was for spices originally, but I added 8 vintage spice jars and repainted the ugly wood cabinet a flat black. You can sand the edges down a bit for a more rustic look, or add a light spray of Rustoleum's flat chestnut for the contemporary expresso look, leave as is, or paint another color. The flat colors work best; shiny colors tend to cause paint drips. This cabinet has a top shelf with 4 round holes but not sure what went in those holes. You can hang it on a wall via the 2 drilled holes in the back of it, or it is free-standing. It stands 14 tall not counting the handle x 10.5 wide x 4 deep. It is 16 inches tall if counting the handle. And, it has a bottom drawer. You could remove the spice jars and use for something else if you wanted to. If you want a more accurate ship quote, e-mail me your zip code prior to ordering. 3/16

USA Small Shoulder Bowl Vintage USA small shoulder bowl. Being sold as a collectible item, not for food use since I did not manufacture it and I don't know if it has anything harmful in it. This is likely Monmouth as it has a USA within a square as was used on some of my Monmouth vases. Incised mark: 5, USA. It has no chips or cracks and stands only 3 inches tall x 5 wide. I put an antique eggbeater in one of the photos just to show you how small it is. Very hard to find the really small bowls. 6/16

Spongeware Spoon Holder Spongeware stoneware spoon holder. The bottom has markings that I think reads: Clay City IN. This is a company that specializes in sponged stoneware crocks, pans, etc. However, when I went to their website they specify they do not make 'hand formed' spongeware and there were no spoonholders, so this might be an earlier piece from another company in Clay City, IN, because it appears to be a hand formed item. There are ridges on the interior and no mold lines. It is 7.25 tall x 5.25 wide. In any event, it is a super nice piece of spongeware and great to hold all your spoons! 2/19s

Vintage Gailstyn Spice Jars Vintage Gailstyn spice jars with refurbished rack. The Gailstyn jars were removed from a very old, dingy spice rack that I tossed out. These jars were made in N.Y., age est: 1950's or earlier. They are 3.5 tall. There are 12 jars. All have a chef with spice names on them and all are in good condition except the Chef's face is worn off on one of the jars and a bit of the lettering on the Italian Seasoning jar is worn off. These jars could use a finer cleaning they are somewhat dusty, just don't put them in a dishwasher, hand wash only! The old wood rack was sprayed flat black; you can respray any color you want. It is freestanding or can be hung and is 11.5 tall x 10.5 wide. 2/20
Manufacturer: Gailstyn
