Antique English Revolving Butter Cooler Antique English revolving butter cooler. Unique item. Brushed metal with revolving lid, the metal looks like pewter, and there is a glass insert. The glass insert has no dips in it for a cigarette which is why I think it must be a butter cooler and not an ash receiver. It has 3 legs with claw and ball feet. Incised, 'Made in England' mark on bottom, and it is 5.5 tall x 5. wide. You also get 6 crystal or flint glass coasters marked: 'France' on them which were purchased separately. 1/10rocs

Antique Kings Crown Sugar Antique Adams & Co. Kings Crown covered sugar jar. c:1890's. The jar displays fine, but has a lot of wear on the jar around the exterior edges of circular areas including scuffing, roughness, scratching and a nibble on the top rim. The lid has old chippies/glass bruises on the finial and the rim edge; the areas that are chipped are smooth, so these are very old flaws. You could just use the base as a spooner, celery, holder, or vase or or leave as is and use as a sugar or candy jar. It shows up yellow under UV/black light. The jar without the lid on is almost 4.25 tall x almost 4 inches wide. barkau#1688-3/07

Vintage Cut Glass Shakers Three pairs of vintage glass shakers for one price. Two of these pairs are likely antique. First is the cut glass small pair with sterling lids. One of the lids is quite dark. This pair is 3 inches tall. Next is a gorgeous cut glass/crystal pair that is 3.25 tall. Not sure what the lids are made of but they are not marked and do have some age/wear showing on them, (they are not sterling). Last is a pattern glass pair with sterling lids, (not cut glass); lids are very dark with age. These are 4 inches tall and have a no. 1 and no. 2 mark on the bottoms. Nice old shakers to start or supplement your shaker collection! 4/13vs

crystalshakers2014

Crystal EPNS Vintage Shakers Elegant vintage crystal silverplate shakers. The lids have incised EPNS mark on them. Gorgeous shakers. I really thought these were Waterford because I have a pair of Lismore shakers that are the same shape, weight, height, but different pattern see photo #5, but I cannot find an etched Waterford mark on these, just the EPNS mark. And, my Waterford's have a stainless lid, not silverplate, as these do. They are very clear and sparkling, and are 3.75 tall. The lids were black when purchased from an estate and they had salt & pepper still in them. I dumped that out, but one has a tiny tad of white residue on interior bottom which you can only see if you turn it upside down. Not sure if that can be removed or not but since it not visible from top display side, I do not consider this a flaw. 2/14sst

Vintage D'Art Craftsman Shakers Vintage D'Art Craftsman New York Shakers. Lovely pressed/pattern glass shaker set. No chips or cracks. The glass shakers are 3.25 tall and fit snugly in the stand they came with which is marked: D'Art Craftsman New York. The stand is 4.5 x 4.5. I could not locate any info on this company so I assume it is no longer in business. The only flaw is a tiny dark spot on the center of the stand which is not detracting and is minor. I think the metal is sheet metal; it is not silverplate or pewter. Age estimate: 1920's-40's. A great pair to use or just display! 4/15

opensalts1122

Antique Cranberry Glass Open Salts Antique Cranberry Glass open salts. These gorgeous little gems are shown the cover of the book titled: The Open Salt Compendium, 2002 edition; and on pg. 50 within the book. They are considered very rare. You get both for one price. It is a pink and white ribbon striped salt with ruffled rim and applied crystal rigaree and berry pontil in an ornate holder. The holder is silverplate and not the same holder as the book shows, but the glass salt is the same. There are similar silverplate holders in the book, but these holders are bit more ornate on the flat surface area. The silverplate was black with purchased so I gave them a quick polish. The holders are marked: T 124 on the undersides. Age estimate: 1800's. The book relates that these are usually only found in private collections and not available for purchase unless a collection is dispersed. One of the salts has a black spot in it; it is within the glass, so likely a hot ash mark when it was made, see photo #7. The black spot is hardly noticeable when on display in your curio cabinet! Gorgeous art glass! 11/22

Antique Pattern Glass Butter Dish Elegant antique pressed glass butter dish. pre 1916. Glows a strong yellow under at UV light. I have not located this pattern yet. The finial on the lid and the lid and bottom has a lot of pin speck tiny bubles. The lid rim has a small old flake off the edge, (this area is smooth so it is an old flaw); it also has a smaller flake on interior of lid rim edge, and a tiny teeny tiny scratches. The bottom under plate has one a couple of small scratches and one surface flake off underside of rim edge. The flaws are tiny and really not noticeable unless searching for them. Overall condition is what I would consider good antique for being over 100 years old and it is still usable. It stands 6 tall, plate is 7.25 wide. As is, as described.

Vintage Glass Shakers Four pairs of vintage glass shakers for one price. First is a a pair of pattern glass shakers with sterling silver tops; likely antique. Tops are very darkened. They stand 3.75 tall and one is a bit cloudy. Next is a pair of crystal shakers, 3.5 tall. One has a tiny chigger bite off bottom corner edge. Next is a pair of pressed glass shakers with Irice mark on bottom. The lids are showing some wear. Irice was a leading importer and distributor of Czech perfume bottles in the 1930's. These are about 2.5 inches high. Last is a large pressed glass pair with goldish tone lids. I believe these are old EPNS lids; they are 6 inches tall. One lid has some tiny dings in it. All are in vintage condition; but can supplement a shaker collection at a low price! 4/13vs
