--The 50's-60's Kitchen by Jan Lindenberger, 1999 & 2003, very good book but prices are very outdated, (undervalued).
--Spiffy Kitchen Collectibles by Brian Alexander, 2003, great book but prices are outdated.
--Fun Kitchen Collectibles by Jan Lindenberger, 1996 edit., very good book, but prices are very outdated.

Most of the items I sell are listed in the books, however, the book prices on them are very outdated.

Please do not ask me what your items are worth; I am a collector and re-seller, not an appraiser. I value my items based on a cross between book value & market value, and other factors like how long it took me to find the item; the condition of the item; my overhead expenses like rent, commission, gas, mileage, office supplies, wear & tear on my vehicle, time spent looking, research, reference books, etc.

redbakelite1013

Red Bakelite Kitchen Utensils Vintage red bakelite kitchen utensils. First is the cool Ekco Products hi-speed beater with red bakelite handle. Minimal wear and blades rotate freely. Much easier to use than lugging out the Cuisinart! Next is a large Ekco Eterna ladle with red bakelite handle. Nice vintage condition. Next is a cool A&J serrated spatula. Next is a patented Schneider cheese cutter. Last is a vintage cotton kitchen towel. The bakelite is all the same color with similar but not identical style handles. The backside of spatula handle has some little dark spots that look like someone set it on a hot stovetop and it burned, but it is not bad and it is on the back. Nice items to use or just display! 10/13

Hall China Retro Pink Bowls Hall China retro pink and gold banded bowls. These are being sold as collectible display items; I did not make them so I do not know what they were made with or if they are food safe by today's standards. They are thick, heavy, well-made bowls and the gold bands are intact! Most of the Hall bowls I come across are missing most of the gold bands. The exterior of the largest bowl has some lines within the glaze and one gouge in the dry bottom rim, see pics 6-8. The bowl displays fine; the photos are close ups and hard to even spot the lines from 8 inches away. The larger bowl is 8.5 wide x 4.5 tall; next size is 7.5 wide x 4 tall; small bowl is 6.5 wide x 3.5 tall. Cool set for your 50's kitchen! If you want a more accurate ship quote, e-mail me your zip code prior to ordering. 10/14

Click for more detail...

crystalbowl060710

Elegant Huge Glass Bowl Gorgeous glass bowl. Magnificent! I am not sure if it is cut glass, cut crystal or very fine pattern or elegant glass. It is very heavy and pings like crystal so I am pretty sure it is leaded crystal. Most of the bowl glows yellow under a black light when turned upside down, especially the upper 3 inches of the bowl, but it does not show much age or wear on the bottom rim. It has sharp edges; and throws off a lot of colors in the sunlight. It is 5 tall x 12.5 wide. I could not locate any markings on it. No chips or cracks. It is not a punch bowl; it looks more like a centerpiece, fruit or large salad size bowl. Very elegant for your next formal dinner party! Or, housewarming gift! Estate sale treasure! If you watch Netflix's House of Cards you will see elegant crystal bowls throughout the president's residence in that show. The crystal looks good in traditional as well as modern décor that has grey, silver, pewter, etc. 6/10intest#

Cut Crystal Bowl Elegant cut crystal bowl. The metal plateau it is shown on is for sale separately. This is a good sized, fine cut crystal bowl. Estate sale item; no maker's marks on it. It is 8.5 wide x 5 tall. This bowl throws off a lot of colors in the sun, and is just exceptional quality. It would be stunning on a table all by itself, or with fruit, etc. I have a metal footed base for sale separately that this bowl looks lovely on, see photo #8. This bowl does show some age/wear/scratching on the bottom, and one bubble within the glass, so it is not a brand new bowl, but not sure how old it is. Because the flaws are on the bottom of bowl, I don't consider them to detract from the bowls' beauty. It is a truly exceptional bowl you would be proud to own, use or just display! If you watch Netflix's House of Cards you will see elegant crystal bowls throughout the president's residence in that show. The crystal looks good in traditional as well as modern décor that has grey, silver, pewter, etc. 4/15

McKee Vintage Milk Glass Butter Dish Vintage McKee milk glass butter dish. Very nice butter dish. No chips or cracks. All I can make out is the work 'cut' on the bottom interior of dish; I think the word 'Pres' just didn't come out on the glass. Most older McKee items are just marked: Pres Cut. The dish is 6.75 wide. The dome is 5 wide. Together they stand 6 inches tall. It has some long stretch lines in bottom of tray. Very elegant piece to use or just display! 7/18

butter70406

Antique Pattern Glass Butter Dish Elegant antique pressed glass butter dish. pre 1916. Glows a strong yellow under at UV light. I have not located this pattern yet. The finial on the lid and the lid and bottom has a lot of pin speck tiny bubles. The lid rim has a small old flake off the edge, (this area is smooth so it is an old flaw); it also has a smaller flake on interior of lid rim edge, and a tiny teeny tiny scratches. The bottom under plate has one a couple of small scratches and one surface flake off underside of rim edge. The flaws are tiny and really not noticeable unless searching for them. Overall condition is what I would consider good antique for being over 100 years old and it is still usable. It stands 6 tall, plate is 7.25 wide. As is, as described.

Robinson Ransbottom Yellow Ware Bowl Robinson Ransbottom yellow ware shoulder bowl. Nice looking bowl. Roseville Ohio with a number mark on the bottom. RRP is no longer in business. This is an older bowl; well aged bottom rim and predates the RRP Terra bowls that have the burgandy bands.
