Arts and crafts hammered copper ashtray. Age est: 1920's. It has incised hammer and anvil symbol on bottom and 'Craftsman Co. #425'. It is 5.75 wide. Vintage condition; some minor dents but still looks great and you can use it too! A great cross-collectible: Tobacciana, Arts & Crafts, and Copper! A nice accessory item for your Mission style/Arts & Crafts room!

Signed Vintage Art Pottery Vase
Signed art pottery vase. Very unique art pottery. It is a heavy, exceptionally well made matte aqua vase or ashtray that looks like Arts & Crafts/Studio pottery to me. It also bears an incised number and name on the bottom dry rims, however, I could not make out the name, so I put a water-based paint wash just over the incised mark to see if I could make out the name. It looks like there is a G-i-or l, then another letter, then an x, and then I can't make it out. The number looks like 4001 or 4004. (the paint has been removed). This item is in good condition, (the pics show some dirt but I have since cleaned this off); all-over very faint crazing that you can only see upon very close inspection. Again, the pics on this one just do not capture how really well-made this item is. It measures 6 long, 3 wide x 4 tall. Age est: 1920's.

Manly Vintage Grooming Accessories
Assortment of vintage manly grooming accessories. Take a closer look! 6 items, one price! First is an awesome vintage shaving brush contained in a screw top container. Container reads: Vulcanized in Rubber, Better Brushes, Palmer, Mass. Note the old State abbreviation on it. The brush does not appear to have ever been used, and the container is 3 tall. On the metal bottom of brush it reads: Sterlized, N.Y. USA, and an E within a diamond symbol. Next is a nifty metal matchsafe; one side of it reads McClelland Barclay, top has a leaf symbol. Next is a silverplate cup with incised mark 1881, Rogers, R in a wreath symbol, and P in a wreath symbol on other side or Rogers name; makes a great shaving mug and is 2.5 tall x 2.5 wide. Next is a 6.5 inch Old Spice After Shave Bottle/flask; paper label on bottom; it dates to 1990, (not vintage). Next is a vintage Gilette razor with G mark Made in USA; and last is a little brushed metal tray to display your items on! Display them on a shelf; antique washstand, or near the man's sink! This assortment would be great with the antique shaving mirror/brush stand that is for sale separately. csbrn

Vintage Brass Shaving Accessories
Vintage brass shaving accessories for your new, made to look vintage powder room! Great for Victorian or traditional style. First is a brass shaving brush with very thick, soft bristles; and a matching shaving bowl that it sets in! The brush is very heavy and in good vintage condition; the brass on the bowl is a bit tranished, mainly on the part where the brush sits. A nice large brass tray to set everything on. A lovely Victorian double sided mirror, (one side is beveled), with fancy filligree base. A heavy art brass bowl that is signed and looks like a lotus leaf motif. Bottom is marked: Copyright, Geranium, 3-28, and initials that look like V J M; Virginia Metalcrafters? Next is a vintage brass Gilette USA razor. Next is a cool vintage matchholder. And last is a heavy brass soap dish! 11/12vcs

Oriental Vintage Box
Vintage oriental box. OUTSTANDING! Gorgeous, VERY HEAVY, likely bronze box with an incised floral motif, and a lined wood interior. It has an incised 'Made in China' mark on the bottom. It had a label on the bottom when I bought it that said: circa 1910, but it is now missing. I do believe it does date to that age based on the weight of this box and the wood interior, which you do not find on the newer imported brass items from China. A gorgeous box to use or display. This is likely an antique tobacco humidor; a similar one is shown in the book on Tobacianna. This would make a great gift for someone who collects old boxes; or just to use a furniture accessory item! 6.25 long x almost 3 inches tall x 4.25 deep

Vintage Brass Tobacco? Box
Vintage enameled brass tobacco? box. Great unique gift! It has black enameling and a wood lining. Very heavy for its size. This is likely an old tobacco/cigarette/snuff box - I base that on the wood lining inside. It has brass hinges and measures 4.75 x 3.25 x 2 high. It also has a small inlaid design on the interior of the lid and box, but I do not know what these symbols mean. The little lever on the front of the box turns so that the latch stays closed. It is a very lovely decorative display item for your office, library, or bookcase, especially if you love quality brass pieces. This would make a great gift for the person who loves beautiful unique items, or the vintage box collector! Age est: early 20th C.

Vintage German repousse brass box. Age estimate: pre WW1. Wood lined, thus it is likely a tobacco/snuff box. Incised mark on bottom: Germany. 'Good vintage' condition; and likely dates to the early 20th C, and perhaps earlier. Exterior has raised/embossed relief designs all around; horses, trees, people, castle, hawk, etc. It is 2.25 tall, 4.75 long x 4 wide. A wonderful box to display or use!

Antique enameled brass box. Sorry the pics are blurry, but it is a very unique box! It is a wood lined brass box with enameling on the top with various round medallions featuring different animals and things on them. The wood inside the box has a very dark, rich patina. This was most likely a cigarette/tobacco/snuff box. Good condition and is 3 x 3.5 wide x 2 tall. Age est: early 20th C.

Pedestal Antique Toothpick or Cigarette Holder
Antique pressed glass toothpick holder or cigarette holder. It glows yellow under black light indicating it was made before 1916. I think the pattern name is called, 'Texas', and shown on page 205 of the book on Toothpick Holders. It has no cracks, one dot size fleabite the pedestal area, see photo #5, and a couple of tiny scratches. It is 2.75 tall with 3 mold lines. The overall condition is what I would consider good for its age. If you love antique glass, this would make a nice addition to your collection! 3/16

Vintage Cased Glass Urn
Vintage cased milk glass small urn. This was said to be a 'Victorian match holder'. It might also be a toothpick or cigarette holder or posy vase. You could use it for any of the above items. It is only 2.75 tall x 3 wide, and has a mold line on each side. It has a leaf motif which is hard to see on the upper portion. A similar item is shown on pg. 161 of the 1995 book by B. Newbound, same shape, but the picture is not clear enough to see if that item has the leaf design on it, and the one in the book is solid white, not green and white). A unique gift for the vintage milk glass collector!

Vintage Cast Iron Match Safe
Vintage cast iron match safe. It is about 9.25 long x 3 wide and has an eyelet for hanging with a #2 on the back of it, and is very heavy. Good vintage condition. A very unique kitchen and tobacianna collectible! You can hang it by your fireplace and keep your long matches in it!

Vintage Matchsafe and Trivet
Vintage matchsafe and trivet. Great vintage cross collectibles: Tobacciana and Kitchen Collectible! One is a painted cast iron matchsafe, it has strikers on the sides and bottom, and an eyelet for hanging. The other is a painted trivet, similar colors. The trivet is 8 long x 4 wide. The matchsafe is about 4 wide by about 4.5 long. It has some rust on the interior of it, and a bit of rust on the exterior. According to my book on trivets, the hand-painted ones were made around the 1950's & earlier. I included some pics of a mansion in Indian Village, Detroit, (from Hour magazine), that had a great trivet display over the fireplace! The matchsafe looks much older than the trivet.

Vintage Ornate Cast Iron Matchsafe
Vintage ornate cast iron matchsafe. (likely antique). This is an awesome matchsafe with 2 compartments. Looks like Victorian era. The compartments where the matches go are riveted onto the back part, not screwed. It is 6.75 long x 3.5 wide. Great to hang on or near the fireplace mantle!

Very vintage matchsafe. The top wording is faded out. The rest reads: Coal - Coke- Wood - Ice Package Coal, 216 Main Street, Royal Oak, Michigan, W.D. Upton Prop. It is 6 tall x 3 wide; has eyehole for hanging. Some rust, mainly on lower right side of bottom flap. A cool collectible! 10/11smc
