Embroidered Table Linen w/Napkins
Vintage embroidered linen tablecloth with 4 matching napkins. This is a lovely textile with original tags that were on them when purchased. The tag reads 'Real Hand Embroidered with Cotton Thread, No. 5957, Size 21, Made in Madeira Portugal'. It is 32.5 x 32.5. I doubt it was ever used because the linen is still crispy and non-wrinkled but it does have a small faded yellow spot on one corner with a tiny dirt/soil spot, see pic #7 close up image. Perhaps something spilled on it during its years, not sure. I mention the area so you know but I doubt you'd even notice it in ordinary lighting. This was likely made for a card table, but it can also be used angled across a longer cloth on a round table. Age estimate: 1930's-40's. The color of the linen is a light ecru; just a bit darker than the photos show it. 4/14est

Vintage August Storck, W. German tin featuring cards, chess, coffee, and a plant. It is TIN, not aluminum. Apparently was a candy tin but you can use if to hold dice, tobacco, tea, etc. Some age/wear, but displays fine. It is 4.25 wide x 4 tall. 2/10

Enameled Brass Double Card Box
Vintage cloisonne double card box. This box has a wood lining on the interior that has a partition in it for two decks of cards. The exterior has a dark patina on the brass; interior lid is still bright. I would guestimate this box was likely made in Asia or India in the early 20th C to 1940's judging by the wood interior. It has a brown felt pad lining the bottom of it which I removed to see if this box was marked, but it is not. Good condition and is 1.25 tall; 5.5 inches wide x 4 . A great vintage box for your card table, or box collection!

Victorian Mother of Pearl Box
Outstanding Victorian mop paper mache box. c:1880 according to the auction catalog. This box came from the estate of a private N.Y. collector/sold at a high end auction in MI. Magnificent box that is so much nicer than the pictures show it, (the camera picks up more details than the naked eye). It is mother of pearl & abilone inlay on paper mache. 7.5 x 7.75 wide x 2.25 tall. Some alligatoring of the paper as expected. Likely English, my research indicates it could be early 1830's, by Jennings & Bettridge. Not sure if this was for jewelry or bridge accessories. The perfect gift! dm-auc11-07

Scottie Dog Vintage Card Box
Vintage Scottie dog card box. So cute! Features Scottie dogs on one side; sailboats on other side. Top has old paper label: Castle Rock, St. Ignace, Mich. Note the old State abbreviation for MI. This box is actually much nicer looking than the pictures show it. Holds 2 decks of cards; one is a Congress deck featuring a dog chasing a ball. The wood box is 3 tall x 4.5 long x 2.5 deep; nice vintage condition. Just put some Howard's on it to spruce it up. A great gift for your card playing friend! Price is firm. Age est: 1930's. Inlay Poker Chip Box Vintage
Beautiful vintage wood inlay poker chip box with bakelite? handle. The two top drawers that hold the poker chips lift out and you can stash your cards, dice, scorecards in bottom. Good overall vintage condition on the box. The poker chips are very brittle and a few are broken. This box is 8.25 x 8.25 x 3 with dovetailed corners. Saddle & Coyboy Boots Vintage Card Box
Vintage Western style card box. c: 1920's-40's. This type of 'wood' is known as Sirocco wood; it is a wood composite (sawdust and glue), primarily made during WW1 & WW2 because of scarce resources. This attractive box has a cowboy boots and saddle motif. It holds one box of cards and is 6 long x 4 wide x 2 tall. There is some wear along the edges, but its not bad. The photos showing the flaws are magnified photos. You can touch those spots up with dark color Old English if you want to. A great vintage accessory piece if you have a Western themed room! 10/18

English Antique Tea Caddy
Gorgeous antique English tea caddy. c:1825-1864 according to my research; the auction catalog says 1850. This came from the estate of a private N.Y. collector and sold at a fine auction in MI. Stunning antique box, much more beautiful than the pictures are showing it. Likely J&B, (Jennings & Bettridge; over 60% were not signed J&B). The lock has impressed 'VR' for Victoria Regina with anchor symbol, and 'Patent' mark. The original key comes with it that does work to lock it and had an old paper label 'No. 401'. This box features mother of pearl and abilone inlay in a Victorian floral design. It has 2 compartments with finials on the lids which are also carved pearl. It is lined with silver tea paper. Box is 4.5 tall x 7 long x 5 wide. It has one small area on the interior underside back of lid which was difficult to photograph that might be a small repaired spot or just the way it was made, but is a minor flaw, and not something anyone would notice without scouring it since it is on the interior. No chips or flakes. This is an outstanding antique. Price is firm; way less what I paid for it; my loss, your gain! au-CC-V-kk-11-07

Card Box and Cards
Nice wood card box and cards. Scroll thru the pics to see the box and a better view of these items. The cards have what feels like velvet on the outside of their boxes and they are in almost like new condition. I doubt if they've ever been played with. The wood card box is in excellent condition, and I believe it is called satinwood. It measures 6 x 4.5 and holds 2 decks of cards. All items are in good condition and will look very pretty on your vintage card table!

Vintage Apollo Card Holder and Congress Cards
Awesome vintage Apollo card holder and Congress cards. The gold tone card holder has 4 slots; two will hold cards; other two might be for something else. It has incised name: Apollo on bottom. You also get 2 double decks of Congress playing cards (4 decks of cards in all). Only one of the 4 decks has been opened, the other three still have their plastic wrappers intact. One box features Yorkshire terriors, (neither of the card decks in here have been opened); the other card box features what looks like a Renior oil painting scene on them, (only one deck was opened). The opened deck does not appear to have been used. Nice for display or to use!

It looks like a vintage Italian box to me, (paper mache?), and is showing a lot of age on the exterior, but the interior is very good. Interior of box is wood lined. You also get the Congress Cel-u-Tone Finish card box with 2 decks of cards, back of box also reads: Canasta Packing. The exterior of card box is a bit worn, but all the cards are intact.

Congress Playing Cards
Congress Playing Cards. Double deck of cards and one single deck of Pinochle cards. The Pinochle deck has been opened, but does not appear to have been used much; the other double deck is unopened. The Pinochle deck say Congress Playing Cards Cel-U-Tone Finish in the back. The other box says: F.B.Wright and some people's names. I know Congress still makes cards, but not sure if they make them in these felt-like boxes. These would be nice on your vintage card table or to give as a hostess gift at your next card party!

Vintage photograph book. 2 books shown, only the brown photograph book is left for sale. Nice vintage book that does not appear to have been used. Photo book has a little Dutch boy & girl on front with black pages inside and reads: 'Photographs. It is 11.5 long x 15 wide.
