vprint1013

Rural Scene Signed Vintage Print Vintage rural scene signed print. The first name near bottom of the print is 'Harold'; the last name starts with 'Law . . . , but unfortunately I cannot make out the last letters of the name. Judging by the remants of the back paper, this print likely dates to the late 1800's-early 1900's. The frame has some age/wear but it is mainly on the bottom edges. The wood frame is 14.5 tall x 11.5 wide. The glass needs to be cleaned and it would be beneficial to replace the glass with non-glare glass. The picture is of a country manor with a man pushing a wheelbarrow, a seated female figure and a sundial. It looks like a setting in the English countryside. 1/13

Click for more detail...

vanityplateau1022

Huge Antique Mirrored Plateau Huge antique mirrored plateau. These can be used as vanity trays, as table centerpieces to showcase crystal items, or on wetbars to hold your fancy liquor bottles. This one is 15.5 across from metal ends or 13.5 across the mirror. The mirror is silvered glass with a beveled edge. It is the largest round plateau I have come across. It has lots of little scratches and some of the edges of mirror are cloudy, (that is common on these plateaus). It has a metal bottom. Once you set your pretty items on it, you won't see the flaws. If you are in MI area, shipping won't be too bad, but if you are outside the MI ship zone, it will be costly because of the large box size and packaging. This is the largest plateau I've come across; that crystal bowl in one of the photos is also very large. 10/22br

tablecloth4014

Embroidered Table Linen w/Napkins Vintage embroidered linen tablecloth with 4 matching napkins. This is a lovely textile with original tags that were on them when purchased. The tag reads 'Real Hand Embroidered with Cotton Thread, No. 5957, Size 21, Made in Madeira Portugal'. It is 32.5 x 32.5. I doubt it was ever used because the linen is still crispy and non-wrinkled but it does have a small faded yellow spot on one corner with a tiny dirt/soil spot, see pic #7 close up image. Perhaps something spilled on it during its years, not sure. I mention the area so you know but I doubt you'd even notice it in ordinary lighting. This was likely made for a card table, but it can also be used angled across a longer cloth on a round table. Age estimate: 1930's-40's. The color of the linen is a light ecru; just a bit darker than the photos show it. 4/14est

Vintage Laundry Detergent Boxes Vintage laundry detergent boxes. All four for one price; no soap left inside the boxes. First is the Magic Washer (with spoon inside), made by Iowa Soap Co. Next is the Ivory Snow box (34 cents on top). Next is the Drive box by Lever Brothers Co., NY. Last is the Chiffon box by the Armour and Co., Chicago. The Chiffon box appears to the the oldest judging by the graphics on back of box. The Drive box is in the best condition; others are showing some age wear. The spoon in the Magic Washer was very tarnished until I polished it up a bit. Cool items to display in your laundry room. Most of these older boxes sell for $45 and up at estate sales and antique shops; you're only paying $16/each. 1/22

Antique Newbro's Dandruff Bottle Antique Newbro's herpicide dandruff bottle. It reads: 'Kills the Dandruff Germ'. This aqua glass bottle is 11 inches tall. It is showing age/ware; cloudiness. I did not attempt to even clean it, but you could soak it efferdent or soapy water. It also has one spot there it looks like a large bubble burst on surface of the bottle; a common flaw on old bottles. Neat for a bottle collection, or to put in your vintage powder or laundry room! 5/17

Victorian Niagara Falls Trinket Box Awesome antique Niagara Falls brass trinket/jewelry box. The lid is glass with a picture of Niagara Falls. The picture has little cut aways in it seemingly for a 3-d effect. The interior lid has a puffy silk lining, but this is very worn and torn; on the bottom interior there is an old silk piece of fabric with orchids. This box is quite hefty and the brass is very detailed and lovely. There are also 6 bunnies in the box that you get with it, (they were there when purchased). Age est: Victorian era. A great cross-collectible: souvineer and vintage vanity item! One of a kind. 10/08estcs

Bottom has an M in a symbol; Metroglass? The paper label is intact and pretty darn good condition which is why I could not clean out the bottle because if you get the label wet it will fall off. Edward Sharp Toffee Tin Vintage Vintage Edward Sharp toffee tin. Large tin; very pretty old tin featuring different floral bouquets on each side of box. This box tin is 5 tall x 6 long; good overall condition. The lid is very hard to put back on once you open it, so I suggest not opening it and just displaying this lovely old tin! Antique Seed Box Antique wooden seed box. Has tongue and groove corners. Inside seed pictures is intact and reads: Mandeville & King Co. Superior Flower Seeds, Rochester, N.Y. You can see where the original paper slots would have fit on the bottom of box but are no longer there. The box itself is showing a lot of age; has some splits in the wood, but makes a great primitive display item. It is 15.5 wide; x 3 deep x 12 tall not including handle. It would also make a cool artist paint brush box. Just saw one of these sell at a live auction for $185! Nice display item for a potting shed or to store seedpacks, postcards, candles, etc.! cstroyest9.07
