ironstonesoup2018

Rare Antique Soup Tureen Rare antique ironstone soup tureen.. Made by J.W. Pankhurst, Hanley, England. This company was only in business from c:1852-1883. Good antique condition; no chips or cracks. A couple of black pepper teensy dots, (hot ash marks when fired?) see photos; and 3 stilt marks on the interior bottom. This company was preceded by William Ridgway and was taken over by Johnson Bros. The bottom reads: 'Stone China' which is the same as Ironstone according to my research. This large tureen is about 10.5 tall x 13 wide from handle end to other handle; the bowl is 9.25 wide. Very nice and can go in a Victorian or a more contemporary dining room since it is white! If the shipping amount comes up weird, e-mail me before payment and I will check it for you. grc2/18
Circa: 1852

Antique English Revolving Butter Cooler Antique English revolving butter cooler. Unique item. Brushed metal with revolving lid, the metal looks like pewter, and there is a glass insert. The glass insert has no dips in it for a cigarette which is why I think it must be a butter cooler and not an ash receiver. It has 3 legs with claw and ball feet. Incised, 'Made in England' mark on bottom, and it is 5.5 tall x 5. wide. You also get 6 crystal or flint glass coasters marked: 'France' on them which were purchased separately. 1/10rocs

Porcelain Tray Artist Signed Gorgeous artist signed porcelain tray. The flowers appear to be Hydrangeas. Very fine art painting on this with heavy gold trim; likely done by a professional in a studio vs. a homemaker. The signature look like: S. Cordess; not absolutely sure, see closeup picture. No chips or cracks. It is 17 long x 12 wide. There is a smudged red ink mark on backside. I am confident it is Limoges porcelain. This could be used as a vanity tray or to serve tea on it, (use a nice doily). It would make a very unique wedding gift, anniversary, birthday or housewarming for the woman who loves beautiful things! 8/12inest

Stunning Antique Biscuit Jar Drop dead gorgeous antique biscuit jar with gold background and large blue leaves. The lid has an EPNS mark which is very worn. It also has a faded brown crown backstamp that it is too old and blurry to make out what it once said. It also has a number and an initial B. It is smaller than a regular size jar, but not as small as a sardine jar. It is 6.75 up to finial or 5.25 up to lid rim edge. It has a handle and no chips or cracks. Some dark tarnish around the rim of the silverplate. It is a gorgeous old jar; likely English. Possibly an early Macintyre & Co., Burslem, England, the predecessor of Moorcroft.

brassstand90409

English Antique Brass Muffin Stand Patented antique English brass muffin stand. c: 1909-1910. Aka 'dumb waiter'. The plates are not included; just for the display photo. If you've seen the movie, 'Joe's Palace', you've seen one of these in the palatial estate kitchen! A great Downton Abbey item too! These were once used at teatime to hold extra dessert plates, and/or plates w/muffins, scones, etc. This is a very fine antique stand made by William, Tonks & Son, Birmingham England. Clearly marked: W, T. & S, with incised rising sun symbol, Pats 15349, Rd547326. The plate rings can also fold up flat. It is a great piece of antique brass; hard to get really good pictures of it though. 32 inches tall x 8.5 wide x 9 deep. A similar muffin stand is shown in the 6/15 Dumouchelle catalog, the auction estimate was $150-$250 which is usually 1/3 of what a dealer would sell it for. This stand would also look great with vintage teacups displayed on the plates. Or, put little potted plants on plates in it. A one of a kind antique! 9/09est#+

Antique Biscuit Jar Daffodils Beautiful antique English transferware biscuit Jar. Both the lid and rim of jar rim have incised mark: EPNS, England, and it looks like 2 marks then C & S Ltd. The C&S Ltd is visible, the lst 2 marks are hard to discern. There was a Clark & Sewell Ltd, Sheffield, England so I assume they made this jar. Bottom has red Crown and B2841. No chips or cracks; has some crazing, more prominent on the bottom. It is earthenware with transferware flower design that look like Daffodils. This jar has some tiny dark spots here and there on the body of jar; those are under the glaze, might be hot ash marks from when it was fired. It is 7 inches tall up to finial. A very attractive jar despite the minor age flaws. 11/14

syruppitcher8013

Antique Victorian Syrup Pitcher Antique Victorian glass syrup pitcher with pewter lid. c:1883. It is much nicer looking in person, than the photos show; and is fatter at the bottom. The interior of lid reads: Patented Mar. 20, '83. It is 7 tall x almost 4 inches wide at bottom. There is a 1.5 inch line in the glass near the center; it is not a scratch or crack; it is a glass flaw/straw mark, see pic #4. This pitcher has a pontil mark on bottom. The pattern might be called quilted diamonds? Overall it displays fine; you won't see the line unless staring at it up close. Lid rim is a bit irregular also. It glows very yellow under a UV/black light indicative of antique glass. 8/13smc

biscuitjar0616a

Antique EPNS Biscuit Jar Antique biscuit jar. The handle has an EPNS mark on it but no maker's marks. This is quite an oldie; made 1800's to before 1917. The glass glows a very strong yellow under a black light. If it is just sitting on a shelf, it looks great; if you look at it up close it has a lot of age and wear; bubbles in the glass; some scratching; straw lines; and the lid has some tiny dents which do not show when it is on the jar; etc. See close up photos 7-8. I polished the lid but not the rim. I leave the fine polishing to you. I think its a great old jar despite the age/wear, if you love authentic antique items! It stands 7 inches tall up to lid finial, not counting the handle. 6/16

It stands 7.25 tall and has etched mark: Marquis by Waterford. I did find one picture of it next to a highball glass but when I clicked on that photo, a different item came up. This is a beautiful bottle for your wetbar or Waterford display. Or, you could even use it as a vase with a faux flower in it. 9/14

M. & Co. Antique Cruet Set Elegant antique cruet condiment set. c: pre 1916; the jars glow yellow under black light indicating they were made before the date listed above. Incised mark on bottom: .30, M & Co. EPNS A1, Hard Soldiered 8773. Age est: 1800's-early 1900's. This item was totally tarnished and black when purchased from an estate; I polished a lot of the tarnish away, it could use even more polishing but looks stunning now. It has 2 bottles for oil/vinegar, one bottle for dry mustard, and one that was likely for sugar or pepper. The stand is 9.5 tall x 4.75 wide. All the bottles are clear and just have a bit of dust in the bottoms but I leave the fine cleaning up to you. The sugar/pepper jar with the silverplate lid has some tiny chigger bites on the bottom, nothing noticeable because they are on the bottom. Overall, they are all in what I consider very good antique condition. I could not locate any information on this company so I presume it was not in business very long. The stand has one flaw: one of the corner bars has come detached from the square above it. It is not anything noticeable and you could take it to a jeweler to have it re-soddered to the frame or just leave as is since no one but me will ever be aware of it. This is a very elegant set suitable to use or just display in your formal dining room. 2/14est

Belmont Zipper Antique Cruet Set Antique castor condiment set. aka cruet set. pre 1916. Very Downton Abbey! The glass shows a strong yellow glow under a black UV light. Made by the Belmont Glass Co., pattern is 'Belmont Zipper' according to an e-mailer. Nice set; two bottles have glass finials; one has a metal sifter; other is a dry mustard jar. The bottles with the glass finials have teesny fleabites around top of finials, but nothing visually distracting. The bottles are 5.5 tall. The stand is 8.75 tall x 6.5 wide. The bottles could use a more thorough cleaning; soak in efferdent for good results. A great item to display on your antique breakfront! #1121cryau5.05

Victorian Antique Cruet Set Gorgeous antique castor set. pre 1916. These show up as yellow glow under a UV/black light. Well hallmarked on the mustard jar and other shaker. The hallmarks look like EP inside a crown that is inside a larger crown. There is an 'S' and 3 other hallmarks. The stand is 10.25 tall; and has a lion head on the handle. Bottom has incised W on it. The bottles all match; no visible chips or cracks. One cruet has a tiny fleabite on bottom of jar. These are either cut glass or crystal, not pressed. The stand has some tarnish on the interior of it which really doesn't show when bottles are in it. This set is in about the best antique condition I have come across. Perfect to use or just display! 1/11antmc

Val St. Lambert Etched Coasters Val St. Lambert etched glass coasters and stand. VSL is a Belgium glass company, in business from 1825 to present. This set was purchased from an estate sale; not sure of the age of them, but the stand looks quite old. Two coasters have etched tulips; two of roses; and two of bearded Iris? One Iris, one rose and one Tulip coaster is signed Val St. Lambert; the other identical coasters are not signed. Flaws: one of the Iris coasters has a small flake of glass off it; one of the Rose coasters has a tiny fleabite on rim. The flaws are not really noticeable unless inspecting them up close. Obviously they are vintage and were used as intended. They are very pretty and useful when you have a party and want your guests to set their glasses down on coasters and not on your wood furniture! 6/17

Ruby Cut Vintage Biscuit Jar Spectacular vintage ruby cut to clear biscuit jar. This is a deep red jar with brilliant cut away, unfortunately most of the pics show it as a dark, almost purple color. No maker's marks on it. The lid has a teensy ding near edge and polish/scratch lines on it; the former owner must have gone a bit crazy polishing the silverplate, nothing felt to the touch, but you can see the lines/scratches if you're up close. From 6 inches away, it is not noticeable. The jar is 8.2 5 tall up to finial. Very minor wear on this jar; a couple of fine scratches on bottom and some wavy lines in the glass itself. It is a magnificent jar; sorry the pics do not really capture its true beauty. 11/14;sldetsy

Miller Rogaska Cruet Set Gorgeous Miller Rogaska crystal cruet bottles. And a beautiful metal cruet stand as a free gift! These are contemporary cruets, but collectible. Not all items at estate sales are antiques, and these bottles do not look like they were ever used. The bottles are in the 'Soho' pattern, and have their original paper labels intact, as well as having an etched signature at the bottom which reads: 'Miller Rogaska'; the paper label reads: Miller Rogaska Crystal Handmade Slovenia. They are a bit over 8 tall, and about 3 wide across bottom rim. No chips or cracks, just lovely! The stand was purchased at an estate sale at a different time, but these bottles fit very nicely in it! Perfect for use or just display! estcs

biscuitjar0616

Bakelite Cut Glass Glass Jar Vintage cut glass or crystal jar with bakelite finial. Very unique beautiful old jar. Age estimate: 1907-1920's. Not sure if it was for tea biscuits or a barware item. Most biscuit jars have handles, this jar does not have a handle and the lid fits snug over the rim. It is the same size as most biscuit jars and it is too large to have been a sugar jar so it is probably a biscuit jar or a barware item. Bakelite was invented in 1907. The fancy bakelite finial resembles a pineapple. The jar lid was black when purchased; I polished it several times to get the grime off and it still could use another polishing. There is only one letter or number on the lid rim; if you look in the photo it looks like an L; in reality it looks like a number 1. This jar is 6.25 tall not counting the finial; or 7.75 tall if counting the finial. The glass is gorgeous; I only found one chigger speck on it. The silver plate lid has fine scratching which is not really apparent unless looking at it up close. Overall, I think this jar is just beautiful despite the age/wear. You could use it for scones, tea biscuits or as barware for pickles, celery or olives, or just display it with your other biscuit jars or even on the wetbar! 6/16

Registered English Antique Biscuit Jar Antique Registered English biscuit jar. c: 1887-1888. Beautiful cut glass jar that is in good vintage condition. Interior lid has incised mark which I cannot make out; could be 'LL' or something else. It also has numbers #393 over #210 written on there but you need a magnifier to see this. This lovely jar stands 8 inches tall to top of finial. On interior bottom of jar there is raised letter Rd80632, (English registry mark). It has one bubble in the glass; and some stretch lines on the bottom interior. It glows a strong yellow under a UV light. Perfect for biscotti at your next tea or dinner party or to display on the wet bar or dining room breakfront or china cabinet! est1/09cs-r

Vintage English Jam Jar Set Vintage English jam jar set. Very nice pressed glass jam jars with silver plated lids. The lids and stand are marked: Silverplate England. These are nice size jars, very practical. Most of the ones I come across are very tiny and not very functional for actual use. The jars are 4 inches tall up to lid finial x 3.25 wide. No chips or cracks; 4 molds lines. The metal was black when purchased so I did a light polishing just to be able to find the marks. The stand could be polished more but I leave that up to you. If you like to serve marmalade/jam at your elegant breakfast or at teatime, this is the perfect set for you! Age est: 1920's-40's. 1/15

Waterford Crystal Decanter Waterford Crystal decanter. Gorgeous decanter. This decanter is a bit fatter than it appears in the first photo; see photos 2-3. I researched this for a few weeks and came up with no identical items with this pattern. I did find one that that was considered rare that was somewhat similar, but not quite, and it was priced at over $1200.00. This item is 9.5 tall and has the Waterford etched mark on the bottom. It does not appear to have ever been used; no chips or cracks and is quite clear. A magnificent addition to your Waterford or barware collection! 2/23
