Reference Information:
--Antique Trader Metalwares Price Guide, 2nd edit., 2003 by K. Husfloen.
--Old American Kitchenware, 1725-1925 by Louise K. Lantz, 1970 edition; great book to identify items, no price guide.
--The 50's-60's Kitchen by Jan Lindenberger, 1999 & 2003, very good book but prices are very outdated, (undervalued).
--Spiffy Kitchen Collectibles by Brian Alexander, 2003, great book but prices are outdated.
--Fun Kitchen Collectibles by Jan Lindenberger, 1996 edit., very good book, but prices are very outdated.
--The Complete Book of Kitchen Collecting by Barbara Mauzy; and
--300 Years of Kitchen Collecting by L. Franklin.

Most of the items I sell are listed in the books, however, the book prices on them are very outdated.

Please do not ask me what your items are worth; I am a re-seller, not an appraiser. I value my items based on a cross between book value & market value, and other factors like how long it took me to find the item; the condition of the item; my overhead expenses like rent, commission, gas, mileage, office supplies, wear & tear on my vehicle, time spent looking, etc.

Red Bakelite Kitchen Utensils Vintage red bakelite kitchen utensils. First is the cool Ekco Products hi-speed beater with red bakelite handle. Minimal wear and blades rotate freely. Much easier to use than lugging out the Cuisinart! Next is a large Ekco Eterna ladle with red bakelite handle. Nice vintage condition. Next is a cool A&J serrated spatula. Next is a patented Schneider cheese cutter. Last is a vintage cotton kitchen towel. The bakelite is all the same color with similar but not identical style handles. The backside of spatula handle has some little dark spots that look like someone set it on a hot stovetop and it burned, but it is not bad and it is on the back. Nice items to use or just display! 10/13

Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook 1st Edition Vintage Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook. This is a 1950 lst edition with no other printing year in the book. Very collectible. 449 pages; hardcover. No dust jacket and I don't think it came with one. Some minor age/wear; mainly on hardcover corners and the exterior page edges, see photo. Cool old book with many color pages. There is no ISBN number in this book so I just used a number I found for a newer BC book since we are required to list one on this site. BC has the best recipes for everyday cooking. Enjoy! 5/14

Click for more detail...

rollingpin4013

Harker Cameoware Vintage Rolling Pin Vintage Harker Pottery Co. rolling pin. 'Cameoware' is the pattern name. c:1930's-40's. Being sold as a collectible display item and not for food use since I did not make it and I don't know what it was made with so it might not be 'food safe'. Harker Pottery was the oldest pottery company in the USA; it was in business from the 1840's to 1970's. This is a rare item. This pin is not marked with a maker's mark;(most pins are not marked), but I recently came across a sugar jar with the same color and pattern marked 'Harker Cameoware' which is a match to this pin. It has all over faint crazing indicating some age; no chips or cracks. It is 15 inches long. The end cork is broken off. If just using for display it is fine; if you want to add hot or cold water inside, you will need to get the cork off and replace it. A great addition to your pin collection! 4/13smc
Circa: 1940

hallchina1014

Hall China Retro Pink Bowls Hall China retro pink and gold banded bowls. These are being sold as collectible display items; I did not make them so I do not know what they were made with or if they are food safe by today's standards. They are thick, heavy, well-made bowls and the gold bands are intact! Most of the Hall bowls I come across are missing most of the gold bands. The exterior of the largest bowl has some lines within the glaze and one gouge in the dry bottom rim, see pics 6-8. The bowl displays fine; the photos are close ups and hard to even spot the lines from 8 inches away. The larger bowl is 8.5 wide x 4.5 tall; next size is 7.5 wide x 4 tall; small bowl is 6.5 wide x 3.5 tall. Cool set for your 50's kitchen! If you want a more accurate ship quote, e-mail me your zip code prior to ordering. 10/14

Libbey Glass Set w/Carrier Retro Libby glassware and carrier. The vintage metal carrier was gold and then spray painted black to go with these glasses. The glasses have a letter 'L' on bottom and are in good condition. They stand 4.75 tall. They have red rims and feature gentlemen lifting their glasses. Like an old English pub scene. Not sure of the age but I'd guess 1940's-50's or earlier. There are 8 glasses. The metal carrier can be left as is or resprayed another color. This set is perfect to display on a Hoosier cabinet or wet bar, and the carrier is convenient for transporting and storage. If shipping comes up weird, email me to check it. scs4/13

squaredance9013

Retro Square Dancing Glass Set Retro vintage square dancing glasses with shabby chic metal carrier. Six tall glasses with enameled? design. The glasses feature a man & woman dancing and reads: 'Square Dance, Swing Yer Ma'. These glasses are in good condition except one glass has some whitish residue on the bottom interior which doesn't come out. I think it is a mineral deposit or from soda. You can't see it unless looking down into the glass and it is not bad anyway. The vivid glasses are 5.75 tall x 2.5 wide. Very colorful and fun. The metal carrier was brown; I shabby chic'd it. The carrier came from an estate sale and it is not vintage, but very cute for vintage glasses or the 1/2 pint milk bottles. The glasses have no maker's marks on them so I do not know which company made them but I'd guess they are from the 1950's or earlier; likely Hazel Atlas. Nothing wrong with them except the bit of mineral deposit mentioned in one of them. 9/13
