copperpot0923

Vintage Hammered Copper OTS Pot Vintage hammered copper pot. Incised mark: OTS Made in Turkey. Appears to be hand made, not machine made; the hammered dots are not uniform as a machine-made copper item would be. It stands 7 tall x 8.5 wide and is wider around bottom. Very nice old copper piece with a wrought iron handle. It is not as bright as the photos show; it is darker. It is not lined with tin, so it is likely not for cooking. My research online indicates that most copper cooking items are lined with tin or another metal on the interior if made for cooking. Age estimate: 1900-1920's. Great for an arts and crafts, Southwest or country style room. You can use for many things like flower arrangements, storing other vintage items like old crochet balls, shells, etc. 9/23st

Vintage Hammered Copper OTS Vintage hammered copper pot. Incised mark: OTS Made in Turkey. It is 7 tall x 9 wide at top x 10 wide across the bottom. Nice aged patina; age estimate: 1900-1920's. It appears to be hand made, not machine made. The hammered spots are not uniform as a machine made piece would be. It has a brass handle. Not likely for cooking since the interior is not lined with tin. According to my research, copper cooking pans are usually lined with tin or another metal if used for cooking, but don't quote me, better to do your own research. This pot is in good vintage condition; just one dent near bottom which is not really noticeable when it is upright. Great for flower arrangement, collections of balls, shells, etc. Nice for an arts and crafts, country or southwest style room. 9/23st

Vintage Turkish Hammered Copper Pot Vintage hammered copper pot. Incised mark: OTS Made in Turkey. Nice patina on this pot. Brass handles. It is not lined with tin, therefore, it is likely not for cooking. OTS still makes metalwares, they are considered copper masters. Due to the age, patina, I'd estimate this item is from 1920's-40's. It also appears to be hand made, not machine made. The hammered dots are not uniform as a machine made copper vessel would be. Very nice pot; perfect for an arts and crafts, Southwestern, or country room. 9/23st

spicecabinet0723

Antique Spice Cabinet Antique wooden spice cabinet. 15.5 tall x 9.75 wide x 4.5 deep. This very primitive cabinet is usable, but does have age/wear flaws. There is reddish stuff that appears to have been used to fill cracks in the wood. It also has a long split in the top. I like the way it looks, the patina of age, but if you don't like primitive items, it is not for you. The drawers are all intact. These cabinets are shown in country magazines; people use them on old Hoosier cabinets in the kitchen and in sewing/crafts rooms. The wood appears to be oak and the wood seems to have warped a bit over time. Photo #7 is the bottom of the drawer; it is all wood, not plywood or cardboard. The price is reduced for the flaws. 7/23scs

wellerartpottery0523

Weller Antique Malvern Vase Antique Weller Pottery Malvern vase. c: 1922-1933. Shown on pg. 271 of the Weller book. The book says this vase was not marked and this vase is not marked. It has 3 stilt marks on the bottom and just a bit of crazing on the bottom. It stands about 9.25 tall and no chips or cracks. It is a beautiful vase. I have seen a few of these listed on other sites which may be fakes because they have various odd looking 'Weller' marks on the bottoms and no stilt marks. Antique pottery almost aways has stilt marks. This vase is quite detailed with long stemmed flower and leaves on it. Photos 6-7 are from the Collector's Encyclopedia of Weller Pottery by Sharon & Bob Huxford 1979 book under the 'fair use' doctrine. 5/23scs

porcelain0523

Vintage Porcelain Roses Tray Vintage porcelain tray featuring roses. This beautiful tray is likely antique and I believe it is Limoges porcelain. It has incised number #17 numbers on the backside. It seems to be part transferware and partly hand painted. There is a spot that looks like an artist's initials, not certain, see photos. This tray is 11.5 long x 7.5 wide. It is missing some of the original gold on the edges and there is on teensy chigger bite on one of the pointy edges, see photo #7, enlarged image. It has a couple of pepper dots on it too. This could be an oyster or escargot tray. Very pretty, feminine item to display in your china cabinet or shabby chic room! 5/23sc

Antique Pressed Glass Spooner Antique pressed glass spooner and/or celery vase. It appears to be called 'Ribbed Eclipse', pg. 214 in the book on pressed glass; made by J.B. Higbee, 1905. This vase glows a strong yellow under a black light, see photo. It stands 6.75 tall. It is very bright and clear. It has some teensy chigger bites on the sharp, pointy exterior areas, but they are too tiny to get a photo of. Because of all the detail, you're never going to notice any flaws unless trying to find them up close. A stunning vase for your pressed glass collection! PS: If you don't want to just showcase it, you can use it for faux or real flowers instead of for spoons or celery! 3/23scs

Vintage Candy Jar Vintage candy jar. Elegant gold trimmed lidded jar. It is not crooked, just my crummy photography skills. Pressed glass or crystal? Glows yellow under a black light indicating it was made prior to 1916. It has no chips or cracks. Two teesy bubbles in the glass; one long stretch line, and one teeny-tiny scratch on the exterior of the jar. It stands 6.25 tall. The gold is intact; this lovely jar does not appear to have been used. The photo of the bubbles is a magnified image. You could also use it in a powder room for cotton balls, pins, etc. A great jar for your collection! Vintage candy dishes are the latest hot nostalgic collectible. Our moms and grannies all had candy jars on the tables for when company came over. 3/23scs

Antique Pressed Glass Biscuit Jar Antique pressed glass pedestal biscuit jar. pre 1916. Glows strong yellow under a black light. It is very clear, and has no chips or cracks. One itsy-bitsy rough dot on lid rim. I will try to locate the pattern and maker time permitting. It stands almost 9.5 tall. The photos do not show how clear it is because of the wavy lines in the glass making it appear dusty in some of the photos, but it is a very clear jar. It does not appear to have been used. It has a diamond pattern with arches/panels. Too large to be a candy jar. A gorgeous antique jar for your collection! 2/23scs

waterforddecanter0223

Waterford Crystal Decanter Waterford Crystal decanter. Gorgeous decanter. This decanter is a bit fatter than it appears in the first photo; see photos 2-3. I researched this for a few weeks and came up with no identical items with this pattern. I did find one that that was considered rare that was somewhat similar, but not quite, and it was priced at over $1200.00. This item is 9.5 tall and has the Waterford etched mark on the bottom. It does not appear to have ever been used; no chips or cracks and is quite clear. A magnificent addition to your Waterford or barware collection! 2/23

Retro Confetti Glasses and Carrier Vintage glass carrier and 8 cool glasses. The glasses came from an estate sale, not sure of their age but they are very attractive. The carrier dates to the 1940's-50's. The glasses are very neat; like a confetti pattern but no maker's mark on them. They are 5.25 tall x 2.75 wide. Perfect for mixed drinks or as water glasses. Fun for a birthday party or at x-mas; stick a candy cane or peppermint stick in each of them! The carrier can be repainted any color you like. It is sturdy for display, storage or transporting glassware. 1/23
