Hand Formed Art Pottery Vase Vintage hand formed art pottery vase. Raised leaf on front and back. Aqua interior. No chips or cracks. It is a lovely vase with applied handles. It stands 7.25 tall x 4.25 wide across top rim. I do not who made it; it might be studio pottery, possibly Red Wing/Rum Rill. The bottom is quite worn and smooth indicating age. It has a pencil mark on the bottom, but I cannot tell if it is initials or numbers. Age estimate: 1930's. It is an off white color on the exterior and it is very heavy, like stoneware. 7/18ut

Antique Spatterware Bowl Antique spatterware bowl. Being sold as a collectible display item, not for food use as it is antique and is probably not up to today's standards for safe food or liquid usage or storage. Very confident this is early Red Wing, but it is not marked. I came across a pitcher and different shaped bowl with same coloring in one of the old RW books. This bowl has a nice ribbed design which is hard to detect due to the spatter design. The bottom has some spider lines, (I do not feel anything with my fingernail so they are not hairlines, just deep crazing). Interior has some visible age/wear/discoloration, but no chips. It is 8.25 wide x 5 tall. Age est: 1800's-early 1900's. 5/11s#

Rumrill Red Wing Ball Pitcher Vintage Rumrill Pottery blue ball pitcher. Nice matte blue color. Rumrill mark on bottom. No chips or cracks; some crazing. Has a couple of glaze misses on it which may appear as fleabites in the pictures, but are not. Just spots where blue glaze did not adhere. This fat pitcher is 8.5 tall. This pitcher is being sold as a collectible item, not for food use since I did not manufacture it and I don't know if it has anything harmful in it. 3/09intestcs

Rumrill Pottery Vase Vintage Rumrill Redwing art pottery vase. c.1938 & earlier. Very pretty heavy-duty, matte dessert rose/peach vase made by Red Wing pottery for George Rumrill. No chips or cracks, just a few pinpops on interior and some crazing. It is signed on bottom: Rumrill H-36 USA. It stands about 6 high x 9.5 wide x 6.5 the other way. A very pretty vase to use in a shabby chic room, powder room, or just to display. Scroll thru to see! Guaranteed to be vintage Rumrill!

Red Wing Jardiniere Planter Vase Matte white jardiniere or vase. It has a pale green glazed interior. The white is an old vintage white color; not a true bright white color; so if you need it to be more contemporary, spray it with satin white by Rustoleum, which is what I do with vintage planters I use in my home. No chips or cracks. There is a maker's mark on the bottom but it is too far under the glaze to recognize it. Someone e-mailed to say it is a Red Wing #445 which is what I thought it was but it is not in my book; so it must be in another book. It is 7 tall x 9 wide at top rim. The sun was out when pics were shot, so there are shadows on the images. It's the perfect size for ferns, orchids, etc. gscs5/09

Early Red Wing Art Pottery Vase Early Red Wing art pottery vase. c:1920's-30's. Great looking and good sized fat vase with the old blue circular inkstamp mark: Red Wing Art Pottery on dry bottom. Incised numbers: 933 and 268. It is a good sized vase with no chips or cracks. One small area has some slight gouges that are under the glaze; that is a factory flaw and hard to even get a photo of. The glaze does cover that area though, see pic #5. This vase is 7.5 tall. Some pinpops in the glaze also which is common on vintage American pottery. Really nice example of early Red Wing art pottery. 10/13est

Red Wing Dancing Peasants Bowl Red Wing Dancing Peasants bowl. Cool old stoneware fruit/salad bowl. Marked: Redwing USA on bottom. It is fairly large, even though it looks small in the photos. It is 11 wide x 3.75 tall. Interior is nice; exterior has one small area where there is claywaste and clay is crackled a bit from the clay firing process, not a man made flaw, see photo 6 or 7. The bottom aged dry rim has a tiny old fleabite, see the magnified photo of it, photo 6 or 7. For old stoneware, this item is in what I consider good vintage condition. It also matches the RW cookie jar with dancing pheasants! If you have a vintage Dutch theme going on in your kitchen, this bowl would make a great table centerpiece. 9/15

Tall Blue Pottery Vintage Vase Tall vintage blue pottery vase. Not sure who made it; I have not had time to peruse my books yet. I am thinking Rumrill, Morton, or Monmouth, but it could be another company. It has no chips or cracks; some pinpops. Dry bottom rim with tanish clay. It stands 10 inches tall x 6.5. It would be really stunning with white or yellow daisies displayed in it! 5/16

North Star Antique Pitcher Large North Star antique pitcher. c: 1892-97. Nice old stoneware pitcher. No chips or cracks. Impressed star on the bottom. This company is mentioned in the Red Wing book and was located in Redwing, Minn. This large pitcher stands 8 inches tall x 5.5 wide across the bottom. It has an embossed grape design. There are a lot of these on the net, but the ones that have a dark brown glazing on the interior are likely more modern ones from other companies. It is a nice looking attractive piece for your pitcher collection or wetbar! 12/18

North Star Antique Shoulder Bowl North Star Co. antique stoneware shoulder bowl with impressed star. c: 1892-1897. This item is being sold as a collectible item, not for food use since I did not manufacture it and I don't know if it has anything harmful in it. North Star was located in Red Wing, Minnesota and was affiliated with Red Wing Pottery Co.; I think it preceded it. The bowl is 4 inches tall x a bit over 8 wide. It displays fine; has a couple of small surface chips off the blue band ledge that circles the upper area and a piece of clay waste on the body, see pics 5-6. The picture is a close up and the chipped spot is not very noticeable in reality. Nice looking old bowl and a rare find! 4/14

Rumrill Dutch Blue Vase Vintage Rumrill Dutch Blue vase. c:late 1930's-1938. Great looking semi-matte mottled blue vase. The glaze type is called 'stippled' and/or 'Dutch Blue' according to the book and this finish is hard to find, and commands higher prices. (see B.L. Dollen's 2001 book on Red Wing Pottery). No chips or cracks; stands 6 tall x 6 wide. Bottom has incised mark: Rumrill and a 3 digit number that I cannot make out. It has a whitish spot on interior of vase; looks like a factory flaw. Since it's on the interior, I do not consider it much of a flaw. A great item for your Rumrill/Red Wing collection!

North Star Antique Cuspidor Antique North Star Co. cuspidor. c: 1892-1897. This company was located in Red Wing, Minn. and is mentioned in some of the Red Wing books. The color is blue and cream with a frond design. There are no or cracks, but has a lot of gouges in the clay, mainly on top rim, but they are glazed over, not chips or cracks. The bottom rim has a couple of teensy fleabites; nothing you would every notice unless you turn it upside down. This cuspidor is 7.25 wide x 5.25 tall. These look great on wetbars or with faux ferns in them or just added to a cuspidor or tobacciana collection! 3/14br
Circa: 1892
Manufacturer: North Star Co.
