Vintage Shaving Accessories
Vintage shaving accessories. 6 vintage items for your new, made to look vintage, powder room! First is straight razor with tortoise? shell handle. Blade is marked with two figurines holding horns and it reads: 'McPherson Bros Famous Frass Razor, The Barbers Favourite', Registered, McPherson Brothers, Cutlers-Glasgow, Finest Silversteel, Forged and Real Hollow, Made in Sheffield. Some wear on blade on one side, extremely sharp, watch out! Next is a neat shaving mug with foil label on bottom Enesco Japan, E-2242, no chips or cracks, bit of wear off the gold on handle. Next is Gillete USA razor with leather box and some blades. Next is a very cool badger shaving brush; marked Plastiset. Next is a vintage Stanhome stand for it to drain after use, and the box! Last is the vintage tole painted tray to set them on! 5/12brcs

Vintage Lustreware Shaving Mug
Vintage lustreware shaving mug. Beautiful shaving mug with lustre finish on exterior and gold leaves with raised gold dots. It is numbered in gold on bottom: #12030 and has a tiny crossed lines/sword symbol. This mug stands 3.5 tall x 3.5 wide. Just showing some wear from the gold on the upper rim edge. The mug is likely German or Austrian. These look great on a shelf in the powder room!

Porcelain Vanity Tray and Accessories
Fabulous porcelain vanity tray with accessories. Large, elegant feminine tray with matching cologne bottles, and a powder box. You are only paying for the tray and cologne bottles, the powder box is free since the lid has a crack in it. The tray looks small in the photos because I had to take the shot from afar to fit it all in. The tray has a blue beehive mark and number which looks like a Royal Vienna mark, however, it is an overglaze mark, thus, it may be another company from the same region. RV marks are supposed to be under the glaze, however, porcelain vanity tray bottoms are rarely glazed. According to research, about 40 other factories in the same geographic region copied Royal Vienna items, and depending on the quality of the item, they can be quite pricey. See Antiques Roadshow; a RV copy was worth $5-$8,000! Whether this is a true RV mark or another company from that region is not certain. The tray has a blue number #7730 and beehive; and no chips or cracks, and is 16 x 12 inches; raised painted flowers, and gold accents. The cologne bottles are 10.5 tall; just showing some wear off the gold on the stoppers; and are numbered: #7727 with blue beehive mark, no chips or cracks. The powder box is also numbered #7727 with blue beehive symbol; the lid had been previously repaired by someone, and the gold is somewhat worn on top finial. Aside from the crack on the powder box, this entire set is in very good condition, and is quite stunning whether it is RV or another similar company. It came from a very affluent estate sale; folks went into assisted living. 9/05brdwn

Pink Roses Vanity Assortment
Vintage pink roses porcelain vanity accessory assortment. Some items are vintage, but not sure on others. All feature pink roses. First is a gorgeous Royal Sealy vintage covered porcelain footed jar w/foil label on bottom, good condition, 4.5 wide x 5 tall; (you can use it for powder, pins etc.). It has a lustre finish with large roses and gold trim. Next is a beautiful shaving mug, good condition, 3.5 tall x 3 wide; next is a an 11 inch decorative plate with 2 backstamps: Shumanh Arzberg Germany, and E&R Melrose, est. 1886, #30 with cutout edge, (E&R is the importer's mark for Ebeling & Reuss Co.); next is a small vintage oval dish, (soap dish?) with green underglaze mark for Epiag, Cecho-slovakia, (Elbogen Bohemia, c:1941-1945). Next is a lovely porcelain tumbler with gold number #8135, (likely German), and is 3.75 tall x 2.75 wide. Very feminine, pretty items to set on a shelf in your new, made to look vintage powder room, or atop a vanity table or washstand! Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy!

Manly Vintage Grooming Accessories
Assortment of vintage manly grooming accessories. Take a closer look! 6 items, one price! First is an awesome vintage shaving brush contained in a screw top container. Container reads: Vulcanized in Rubber, Better Brushes, Palmer, Mass. Note the old State abbreviation on it. The brush does not appear to have ever been used, and the container is 3 tall. On the metal bottom of brush it reads: Sterlized, N.Y. USA, and an E within a diamond symbol. Next is a nifty metal matchsafe; one side of it reads McClelland Barclay, top has a leaf symbol. Next is a silverplate cup with incised mark 1881, Rogers, R in a wreath symbol, and P in a wreath symbol on other side or Rogers name; makes a great shaving mug and is 2.5 tall x 2.5 wide. Next is a 6.5 inch Old Spice After Shave Bottle/flask; paper label on bottom; it dates to 1990, (not vintage). Next is a vintage Gilette razor with G mark Made in USA; and last is a little brushed metal tray to display your items on! Display them on a shelf; antique washstand, or near the man's sink! This assortment would be great with the antique shaving mirror/brush stand that is for sale separately. csbrn

Vintage Razor, Mug, etc.
Bavarian mustache mug, brush, brush stand, tole tray and Gilette razor. First is a heavy porcelain or ceramic mustache mug with red backstamp: a lion sitting on a square that reads: Made in Bavaria; 3.5 tall x 3.25 wide. The shaving brush had a foil label on it when I took the pictures: Maid Rite, but I can't find the label anywhere now! The brush is in good condition and is 4 inches tall; bristles look like badger bristles, and it does not look used at all. You also get a vintage Stanhome Brush stand, (to drain the brush after using). Also, an antique tole painted metal tray. Last is the Gilette razor with box with a couple of Gilette blue blades. Neat vintage items to use or display in your new, made to look vintage, powder room! [regrouped:2.07]

Mirrored Vintage Vanity Tray
Very pretty vanity tray. The items on the tray are for sale separately. This looks like a Matson or Globe tray, but is not marked. No chips or cracks. There is some very fine gold mesh/freckles in the mirror, not sure if this is part of the design or to the aging process, but it really doesn't detract since is is very fine and all over so it just looks like part of the design. Once you set your perfume bottles, toothpicks, crystal shakers, etc. on it, it looks very elegant anyway. It will fit on a china cabinet shelf also. It is 15 long x 8 wide. 1/09labant-ck

Large Victorian Beveled Mirror
Large antique beveled mirror vanity plateau. Original tin bottom. No maker's mark on it. The metal surround is a bit tarnished and there is some fine minor scratching as expected on the mirror. Victorian Plateau
Victorian mirrored plateau for sale. Lovely old tray with gold metal surround. Beaded style edge on the silvered mirror; original tin bottom. There is some wear; glass is somewhat cloudy; minor scratches as expected, but once you set your crystal items on it, you won't see the flaws. Most of these antique plateaus are in 'antique' condition; and these flaws are expected. This plateau is 10 wide x 1.75 tall. Stylebuilt Vanity Tray & Mirror
Very attractive oval vanity mirror and an enameled hand mirror. The tray is marked: Stylebuilt Made in USA; has angels and heart design on handles. It is 13 long x 7 wide. The mirror in the vanity tray is a wee bit loose, but when sitting on a table it is just fine. The hand mirror is very pretty; it has an enameled picture on one side with an onyx handle. 12/10s#

Vintage Perfume Bottle
Beautiful vintage perfume bottle. Likely an Irice import from Czechoslovakia c:1930's but missing the foil label. It sparkles like crystal but might be pressed/pattern glass. It is almost 7 inches tall x 3.75 wide. No visible flaws; just has one glass flake missing on bottom edge of stopper which you cannot see when stopper is in place. Vanity Tray w/Lipstick Holder Vintage
Lovely vintage vanity tray with lipstick holder. I am confident this is a Matson tray; either the mark just did not come out on the metal or I can't find it. It is faintly numbered the same as other Matson trays I have sold, #368 which you need a magnifier to see. This tray is in overall 'good vintage' condition; a few specks/scratches but once you put items on it, you won't see them. It is 15.5 long x 10.25 wide; mirror is 12 long x 8.5 wide. Felt back and has a ring for hanging. You also get the lovely lipstick holder with poodle dogs and 5 holders. If you need perfection however, don't buy vintage. As is, as described. 2/12labcsr+4/12

Matson Mirrored Tray
Nice vintage Matson mirrored vanity tray. It is 16.75 long x 9.25 wide. Very tiny Matson name and number on back end part. It is not as bright gold as the pic shows it; it is somewhat darkened with age but the camera tends to illuminate metal objects. A couple of minor scratches, nothing you will see once you place your perfume bottles on it! You can brighten these up with some metallic gold paint or even shabby chic them with white paint and a dry brush. 10/11scsr

A lovely Victorian double sided mirror, (one side is beveled), with fancy filligree base. A heavy art brass bowl that is signed and looks like a lotus leaf motif. Apollo Antique Vanity Tray & Brush
Antique Apollo vanity tray with a hand mirror. c: 1909-1922. The tray is marked Apollo but the beveled hand mirror is not marked, but it also looks like an Apollo item, (very intricate metal work on it). The tray has heavy brass metal surround and has darkened with age. You can gold leaf it, shabby chic it, leave as is, or use antique gold paint to brighten it up. It is a lovely silvered mirrored tray with some some faint surface and age wear showing as expected. However, once you set your perfume bottles and jars on it, you won't notice any flaws. It is 17 long x 12.25 wide. The mirror is 9 long x 4.5 wide. You can also use these as table centerpieces with a large crystal bowl or vase displayed on it. 1/13

Vintage oval vanity tray and trinket box. The tray looks like a vintage Stylebuilt tray but I cannot locate a name or number on it. It is narrow enough to fit in a china or display cabinet to display items like shakers, toothpicks, perfume bottles, etc. It is in good overall vintage condition; minor wear; velvet back. It is 18 long x 8 wide. The footed trinket box has beveled glass and is quite nice. Both items for one price! 2/13

Vanity Vintage Acccessories
Vintage vanity accessories. First the the oval tray which I am 99% sure is a Matson tray. It has the daisy flowers on ends, and where the mark should be on the underside of an end is a glob of gold; this is probably a factory flubber. This tray is 9.5 wide x 16.75 long. It has some minor tiny scratches; nothing visually impairing and you won't see them when your other items are atop it. Next is a gorgeous vintage hand mirror that looks like an Apollo item. Very intricate metalwork. One side of mirror is regular, other side enlarges the image. Next is a lovely vintage footed trinket box. And, last is a vintage lipstick holder. The lipstick holder is showing some wear, (the gold paint is starting to fade away a bit on this item; just re-spray it with antique gold paint). 3/13vs

Gorgeous vintage Mele brass and onyx vanity box. It is for jewelry, trinkets, rollex, etc. Older item; has foil label on the bottom: Mele, Made in Japan; darkened patina on the metal. Irice Czech Perfume Bottle
Gorgeous cut glass perfume bottle. It had an Irice foil label on it when purchased but I cannot find it now; it had to fall off somewhere around here so if I find it I will put it back on. The label said Irice, N.Y., and Irice was an importer of Czech perfume bottles back in the 1930's. This bottle has no chips or cracks but does have some minor scratching on bottom indicative of its age. It is 7.75 tall x 3.25 wide. A stunning bottle for your collection! 3/10brn#2955

Czech Perfume Bottle Large Vintage
Large vintage Czech perfume bottle. Not marked, but 99% sure it is Czech. Intangilo glass stopper. It stands 7.75 tall x 3.75 wide. It has a couple of specks of wear on the stopper; and one tiny flake of glass off the base which is hard to see unless under your nose; pic #5 is a magnified image of it. It has a bit of old perfume residue in bottom of bottle; soak with soapy water and remove with a tiny bottle brush. It is a very beautiful bottle despite the tiny age/wear flaws. 10/09contrMC
