Cute vintage cat head vase. Very nice matte white kitty with remnants of a paper label on bottom, and a black inkstamp: E 400 something. Likely Enesco which closed in 1978. No chips or cracks and is 4.5 wide x 5.5 high. A great kitty for your head vase or novelty cat collection!

Robia Ware Antique Springer Spaniel
Antique Robia Ware chalkware Springer Spaniel. Glass eyes; very heavy, almost feels like cement, (maybe plaster mixed with cement; it is not the lighter weight, newer chalkware.) I came across an identical dog at an antique store; the dog had an old foil label on it with the manufacture info. The difference was that the dog at the shop was a bit lighter in weight and the eyes were painted, not glass. So, my dog is much older. The company is called: Roman Art Co., Inc. St. Louis MO., Robia Ware, c: 1907. That company was famous for their animal and religious items. They went out of biz in 1974. My dog is missing the foil label and has some paint loss, especially where the old label or price tag must have been near its tail. It has some age/wear, but he still displays good. Almost 8 tall x 6 long. As is, as found. I have another one that matches this dog except it is a bit smaller in size, (male & female?); and it also has the glass eyes and is heavy. Age estimate: 1920's or earlier. If you want both dogs, let me know and I'll adjust the weight and price. They'd be attractive on each end of a breakfront, fireplace or nightstands. 8/09csgs

Chihuahua Vintage Dog Figurine
Cool vintage life size Chihuahua dog figurine. Cute as can be! Actually, a bit larger than my real chi-chi dogs, but mine are tiny. This dog is 12 inches tall in the seated position. It is made of some type of hard resin and is dated on bottom 8/13/78 so it is over 42 years old now and anything over 30 years is considered 'vintage'. It has a small scuff mark in the area between his eyes, see photo #2 and closer photo #8. The overall condition on this cutie is 'good vintage'. The price is firm; woof! PS: It looks cute under the x-mas tree! I had an identical that one sold that was marked: Marwal, Ind. Inc.; I assume the same company made this one. est1/09cs-r

Vintage English Kitty Bowl
Vintage kitty bowl. Incised mark: Mason Cash Made in England. Newer ones have the Ltd. mark on them. This bowl is 2.25 tall x 5 wide. It has no chips or cracks but has a little smudgy dark spot off to the side of the letter Y as shown in a photo 4. Some of the original ink used before firing must have drizzled on that spot; it is under the glaze and doesn't come off. It is still a neat collectible bowl to use or just display! 2/15

Green circle backstamp: Made in USA, Jackson Vitrified China, Falls Creek, PA. Nice condition; very heavy bowl. It is 6.25 wide x 2 tall. Robinson Ransbottom Kitty Bowls
Robinson Ransbottom kitty bowls. Three bowls in stock; the price is for one bowl. Heavy-duty stoneware; won't tip over. For indoors or out. Black RRP inkstamp on bottom. They are 6 wide x 3 tall. One of the bowls has a teensy fleabite off bottom rim on one of them; it doesn't affect stance; and one has a small clay irregularity on it, not a chip or crack. These kitty bowls are much harder to find than the doggie bowls. RRP went out of biz in 2005 so these will get harder to find.

Brush McCoy Boxer Wallpocket
Vintage Brush McCoy Boxer dog wallpocket planter. A very hard to find item, dates to the 1950's. Good overall condition; just one very tight, small .5 inch hairline near backside upper rim, and some crazing, mainly on back and interior. He also has one tiny line of brown coloring near top rim, (this is under the glaze; paint that apparently did not blend right; only visible if looking down into planter part). It is 7.5 tall x 6.5 long. Incised 542 USA on back; and blue grease pen number 933. Hefty and great to hang on the wall! I'd run a bead of superglue on the hairline just to seal it forever. The hairline is very tight and on the back so I consider this flaw insignificant for pottery that is over 60 years old. It is shown in the BM book by Huxford. You may never come across this one again! 1/09troyantMC

Vintage Novelty Animal Planters
Three vintage novelty planters. = only $9/each! All are pale yellow in color. The pig is a Shawnee item. It is 3.75 tall x 4.25 long. The cool goose with hat has an incised USA mark on its body but I do not know which company made it. It is 4 tall x 4.75 long. The prior owner has a piece of floral foam and flowers in the pig and goose which you can remove. Last is the swan which has no markings. It is 3.25 tall x 4.5 long. No chips or cracks on any of these cuties. The goose is lighter in coloring than the other two. 5/13smc

Vintage McCoy Pottery poodle planter. c:1950's. Called the 'Snooty Poodle'. A really hard to find item. Nice sturdy planter; and this planter looks much cuter in reality than the pictures show it. Raised McCoy USA mark on bottom. The only flaw is some of the red cold paint on his/her bow is flaking off. This pooch is 7 tall x about 6.25 long. McCoy also made a poodle planter with an open base, but this style is harder to find. Price is firm. 5/09utantcs

Zanesville Stoneware Puppy Planter
Adorable vintage Zanesville Stoneware puppy planter. Shown in the Zanesville book by J. Ralston. It is about 7.5 long x 4.5 high. Good vintage condition; just missing a tad of the cold paint on his nose and mouth, and some on the collar, and has one pinhead size fleabite off bottom rim of front paw, (not really detectable unless you put it in front of your nose and try very hard to see it). He is quite heavy, (stoneware), and has the typical Zanesville pinpops and four dry paws. Way below book price! There is a similar one that was Made in Japan, but that one is ceramic, not stoneware.

Vintage Shawnee Dog and Shoe Planter
Vintage Shawnee Pottery dog and shoe planter. I have 2 in store; price is for one dog planter. Very nice satin matte ivory cuties with no chips or cracks. There is one tiny black dot on the backside of one near a crevice. USA mark on bottom. It is 4.75 tall x 7.5 long. Some mineral/dirt residue and spidering on interiors. You can give it a facelift with Rustoleum's satin white spray paint; or any other color you desire! brncs9.07

Ransbottom Kitty Bowl
Robinson Ransbottom kitty bowl. Nice pet feeder. Incised mark on bottom and smooth upper rim. One itsy fleabite on bottom rim edge; it can barely be seen when bowl is upright and only if you are really looking for it up close, see pic 4. This bowl is 6.25 wide x 3.25 tall. These bowls are great for indoors or out; they don't tip over and will last for years without disintegrating like the new crappola does from other countries. 9/13smc

Cast Iron Antique Dog Bank
Antique cast iron dog bank. It can also be used as a doorstop. 'English Bulldog' bank/doorstop. This is being sold as a collectible item only; not for use by children. An identical one, (same size), but different coloring, is shown in the book on vintage Doorstops by J. Bertoia. The book indicates these dogs were made by Hubley and other manufacturers and they came with different coloring/paint. This bulldog is in good condition but for missing a bit of the original paint, and has some rust on the bottom of his feet. He is 4.5 lbs., and is 5 7/8 tall x 8.5 wide. A very cool old dog for your collection!
