--Spiffy Kitchen Collectibles by Brian Alexander, 2003, great book but prices are outdated.
--Fun Kitchen Collectibles by Jan Lindenberger, 1996 edit., very good book, but prices are very outdated.
--The Complete Book of Kitchen Collecting by Barbara Mauzy; and
--300 Years of Kitchen Collecting by L. Franklin.
--Old American Kitchenware, 1725-1925 by Louise K. Lantz, 1970 edition; great book to identify items, no price guide.
--Antique Trader Metalwares Price Guide, 2nd edit., 2003 by K. Husfloen.

Most of the items I sell are listed in the books, however, the book prices on them are very outdated.

Please do not ask me what your items are worth; I am a re-seller, not an appraiser. I value my items based on a cross between book value & market value, and other factors like how long it took me to find the item; the condition of the item; my overhead expenses like rent, commission, gas, mileage, office supplies, wear & tear on my vehicle, time spent looking, etc.

Vintage Matchsafe and Trivet Vintage matchsafe and trivet. Great vintage cross collectibles: Tobacciana and Kitchen Collectible! One is a painted cast iron matchsafe, it has strikers on the sides and bottom, and an eyelet for hanging. The other is a painted trivet, similar colors. The trivet is 8 long x 4 wide. The matchsafe is about 4 wide by about 4.5 long. It has some rust on the interior of it, and a bit of rust on the exterior. According to my book on trivets, the hand-painted ones were made around the 1950's & earlier. I included some pics of a mansion in Indian Village, Detroit, (from Hour magazine), that had a great trivet display over the fireplace! The matchsafe looks much older than the trivet.

Holland Enameled Vintage Cast Iron Pan Oval vintage Holland enameled cast iron covered pan. Not marked 'DRU' Holland, but has the same blue tulip pattern, same coloring, an artist initial, a mold number and a Made in Holland mark. The only difference is it doesn't have a 'DRU' mark but I assume it is a DRU piece or was made by a company in Holland who bought out DRU cookware back then. I doubt if another company could copy the pattern without acquiring the trademark. This one has the aqua color and it matches the smaller one I have for sale even though it looks like a different color in the pictures. It holds 2.5 quarts. Bottom has artist initials and Made in Holland #28. This pan's exterior is in very good condition; interior has some discoloration, presumably from prior cooking and it does not come off, but the enamel is intact and smooth. Very usable. Pan is 12.5 long x 8.5 wide x 4 tall not counting lid; w/lid on it is 7 tall. The 1954 Betty Crocker, Good and Easy cookbook has a DRU Holland casserole pan on its cover. brncs12/09
Circa: 1950's

Vintage Metal Mold Very cool vintage metal mold. I think it is a chocolate mold but not sure. It has the number 4269 on one side; other side reads: T.B. Weyganol, New York and some other numbers. It is 6.75 long x 3.75 wide x a bit over a 1/4 inch deep. It has some rust residue so it really is not for usage any longer, but it is a very neat old mold if you collect them for display. A magnet sticks to it so I presume it is iron. It is hefty for its size. Features bird like creatures. This item is being sold as a collectible display item and not for food use. This item is being sold as a collectible display item and not for food use since I did not manufacture it and I don't know what it was made with. By purchasing it, you assume all and all risk if you decide to actually use it for anything other than display purposes. 6/13brcs
