Blue Streak Vintage Jar Opener Neat, unique vintage Blue Streak two way jar opener. Made by Turner & Seymour Mfg. Co., Torrington, Conn. Note the old State abbreviation. Good usable vintage condition. Pat. Pending. It is 3 inches tall. This is the first jar opener I have come across like this one so I'd say it is a rare one. It is a bit squarer shaped than the Edlund Top-Off's! 3/09vancs-r

Red Bakelite Kitchen Utensils Vintage red bakelite kitchen utensils. First is the cool Ekco Products hi-speed beater with red bakelite handle. Minimal wear and blades rotate freely. Much easier to use than lugging out the Cuisinart! Next is a large Ekco Eterna ladle with red bakelite handle. Nice vintage condition. Next is a cool A&J serrated spatula. Next is a patented Schneider cheese cutter. Last is a vintage cotton kitchen towel. The bakelite is all the same color with similar but not identical style handles. The backside of spatula handle has some little dark spots that look like someone set it on a hot stovetop and it burned, but it is not bad and it is on the back. Vintage Shedd's Peanut Butter Tin and Jar Vintage Shedd's peanut butter tin. Cool old tin with handle. It once held 5 lbs. of peanut butter. It has animals and elves circling the tin. The tin is 6.5 tall x 5.75 wide. Good display condition; lid is very hard to get on and off which is likely why the lid is somewhat dented. Universal Potteries Vintage Pitcher Awesome vintage Universal Potteries pitcher. Age estimate: 1930's-50's. Very nice pitcher; it says it is oven proof but not sure why you'd put a pitcher in the oven. It stands 8 inches tall and has no chips or cracks. Some very faint crazing and one pin dot, see magnified photo. It has a pretty flower pattern and red stripe on the handle. Add it to your vintage pitcher collection! 10/18

rollingpin4013

Harker Cameoware Vintage Rolling Pin Vintage Harker Pottery Co. rolling pin. 'Cameoware' is the pattern name. c:1930's-40's. Being sold as a collectible display item and not for food use since I did not make it and I don't know what it was made with so it might not be 'food safe'. Harker Pottery was the oldest pottery company in the USA; it was in business from the 1840's to 1970's. This is a rare item. This pin is not marked with a maker's mark;(most pins are not marked), but I recently came across a sugar jar with the same color and pattern marked 'Harker Cameoware' which is a match to this pin. It has all over faint crazing indicating some age; no chips or cracks. It is 15 inches long. The end cork is broken off. If just using for display it is fine; if you want to add hot or cold water inside, you will need to get the cork off and replace it. A great addition to your pin collection! 4/13smc
Circa: 1940

rpin0220

Vintage Ceramic Rolling Pin Vintage ceramic rolling pin. I am confident this is Harkerware; but it could also be Paden City or Homer Laughlin. It has no chips or cracks; some smudgy marks and a line in it, see photo. The line is not a hairline. It is 14 inches long not counting the cork. The original white cork is missing; I used a regular cork that could be painted white. It is a nice collectible in for your retro kitchen! Make an offer I can't refuse! 2/20s

Tea Strainer Tea Strainer. This item came from an estate sale; it was very dark and dingy when purchased. I polished it to see if there were any marks, but there are no markings on it. It appears to be silverplate and is in good condition. I do not know the age but it is not brand new. It is 6 inches long x almost 2 tall. 1/17

Vintage Gold Dust Laundry Assortment Vintage Gold Dust assortment. c:1930's. This assortment includes the cleanser tin, washing powder box and a sign. The Gold Dust items feature two black twins. The antique Gold Dust tin was unopened, but I had to drill a hole in bottom to remove the contents as the p.o. will not permit mailing without a DNR permit. The front of tin is in good display condition; side & back paper is smudged. It is 4.75 tall x 3 wide. Next is the vintage Gold Dust box of washing soap, (contents removed). Last is a small Gold Dust sign, pic #6, (it has old state abbreviation on it, Todd Brothers Company, Waukesha, Wis., this item is likely from the 60's or earlier). Great cross-collectible items for the kitchen or laundry room! I just saw the laundry detergent box for sale elsewhere for $60 all by itself!

Antique Hubley Fruit Basket Doorstop Attractive antique Hubley fruit basket doorstop. It is shown in the book on doorstops and has incised number: #456 as the book indicates, see photo #5. You can tell it is antique by the paint and iron finish; the paint and iron is smooth and not grainy. It does have some noticeable areas of missing paint, but from a few feet away it looks fine. These are great to use in the kitchen to hold cookbooks in the hutch, or as a doorstop! 8/14

Patented Antique Milk Glass Rolling Pin Patented antique Imperial milk glass rolling pin with antique wire display rack. Please read and view all pictures. Awesome antique pin with maple handles. This item is shown in the 1991 book on Kitchen Antiques by K. McNearney, pg. 66. It is a good sized pin even though it looks somewhat small in the photos, (I had to take the pic from far away to get it all in the photo). This pin reads: Imperial Mfg. Co., Cambridge, Ohio, July 26, 1920, (the last number looks like an 0 but it is hard to make out). This pin is 19 inches long. The glass has a lot of stretch/wavy lines in it and one small circular flake which doesn't go all the way through the glass, see picture #5. It was likely a glass bubble that popped and flaked off which is not uncommon on old glass. You also get the antique wire holder with this to hang it on a wall or cupboard side. This is a really neat cross-collectible antique if you love country or primitive or collect rolling pins or milk glass! 9/13

Retro Kitchen Vintage Mixer Bottles Retro vintage kitchen glass bottles. The metal basket is not vintage and has been painted to match the old lids. First is the large Gemco straw jar. It is 11.25 tall. Next is a cool 'Toddy, A Meal in a Glass' 10 inch tall jar. It has a raised design of a boy on the front. Next is a cool Hazel Atlas paneled 16 oz. drink mixer jar with sifter top. Next is an antique 12 oz. National Dairy malt mixer jar. Last is an antique paneled jar with a zinc masher apparatus. Not sure what this was for, but it does have some rust on the metal and a small rust ring on the interior bottom of glass. It is 7 tall not counting the plunger. 5 bottles in all plus the basket. There is very little age/wear on any of the jars except for the antique paneled jar with the rust as mentioned. Makes a unique kitchen or barware display! 10/14vs

The fabric is made to look like old seed packages; one is titled: Pansy, other is titled: Bulbs Plant, backsides are a blue checked pattern. Next is an antique tin egg separator; next is an Androck pastry blender with red painted wood handle; next is a neat old scoop that looks like cast alum. or zinc; next is another cool old scoop with raised Taiwan mark; next is a very nifty vintage patented nut sheller with incised mark: The York Nut Sheller Co. Inc. San Angelo Texas, U.S., The Texan Model, c:1945-1950; it is 7.5 long and is cast aluminum; next is a 7 inch scoop marked: Germany 185; next is a metal meat tenderizer; next is a tin nutmeg grater marked: Japan; next is a great tea strainer; next is Nevco Japan stainless steel tongs; these are not very old, and another gadget that I have no clue as to what it is, but it looks rather nifty too!
