Due to the new Sales Tax requirements, I will be not be selling anything to customers in Rhode Island, until your State comes up with a reasonable small seller exemption from State sales tax collection and/or their onerous notice requirements. This policy is subject to change since States are in the process of enacting new laws and changing current laws.

If the shipping amount seems too high, e-mail me your zip code before paying or ordering, or cancelling and I will check it and correct it if need be.

TIP: If using your jardinaires and pedestals outdoors, use floral goop to secure the jard onto the pedestal so it will not fall off when the wind is blowing hard. If using indoors, used double sided sticky tape so the jard won't fall off if someone bumps it by accident.

Burley Winter Jardiniere & Pedestal Large vintage Burley Winter pottery jardiniere and pedestal. c:1872-1930's Shipping will be calculated after order is placed unless you want to email me your zip code prior to ordering. I know it looks small in the photos because I had to stand far away to get it all in! Gorgeous, hard to find with the pedestal! The jard is 11 wide x 9.5 tall; the pedestal is 15.5 tall x 9.5 wide; jard on ped stands 25.5 tall. No cracks; just one tiny glaze pop or fleabite on bottom rim of jard. The colors are green, pumpkin and bits of blue. The pattern around the top is one that is not often found, (pattern is shown on pg. 37 of the book). Put it on your wish list and have your significant other get it for you! Guaranteed authentic vintage BW pottery. USA destinations only. It would have to be shipped in two large oversized boxes. nyant8.08

Zanesville Art Pottery Overflow Vase Very large hand thrown Zanesville Stoneware Co. art pottery overflow vase. It is 15.5 tall. E-mail me your zip code for a ship quote prior to ordering. Age est: 1918-30's. Black overflow glaze. Shape no #108, (incised number on bottom). The same shape number is shown on pg. 121 of J. Rans book, (different glaze); ZSC did a variety of overflow glaze colors. The overflow glazes were made at the end of WWI which was 1918. No chips or cracks; one tiny circular glaze skip. Heavy duty; well-made American pottery. Very nice old piece; the unglazed bottom is quite aged and smooth. I believe it is a hand turned piece; there are horizontal ridges on the exterior and interior of vase and no mold lines, but I could be mistaken. Rare find. ZSC was known for their large garden ware which hotels, restaurants, offices started using indoors as well. 4/11s#

Click for more detail...

jardinaire1212

Antique Hand Painted Jardiniere Antique hand painted under glaze jardiniere. The design features an Iris flower. This is likely early Weller, Roseville, Colorado or Brush McCoy. It is 7.75 tall. It has some flaws which is why the price is so low. It looks like a circular portion of the top ruffled area, about 2.25 inches broke off at some point and was glued back on; there is a chipped area within that. You could take it to a pro to have it repaired or leave as is. It is not noticeable when you have it up on a shelf or with a faux plant in it. It has one small spot on ruffled area where the deep brown glaze did not adhere, but this is glazed over and is a lighter brown. See pics 6-8; it was hard to get a good picture of the flaw because the high gloss glaze reflects back. On page 20 of the 1994 book by C. Carlton on Colorado Pottery, there is a similar, but not identical ruffled jard shown with same type of bottom shown. 12/12

Limoges Jardiniere Antique Guerin Stunning antique Guerin Limoges porcelain jardiniere. c:1900-1932. Features large poppies w/black background. A similar jard, albeit with white background is shown on pg. 149 of M. Gaston's book. This jard is marked, but the mark is hard to see in the picture; the book shows the mark on pg. 134, mark 3, if you need to see it more clearly. No chips or cracks and has a 23 inch diameter; and is 5.5 across top rim; and 5.25 tall. It has one 1 inch scratch on one side, (against the black background), which is really only visible if you have this in front of your nose in clear lighting. A unique quality piece! Fabulous in an oriental or traditional/classic style room.

dclimoges0712

Limoges Jardiniere Antique D & C Large antique Delinieres & Co. French limoges jardiniere with gold paste lion handles. c:1894-1900. Outstanding fine art hand painted jard. Purchased in MI at a very old estate that has now been torn down. The owners were said to have entertained politicians, artists, musicians, etc. This jard could be a Franz Bishoff or one of his students since he was in Michigan around the time this was made. It has the spiderwebs and a great deal of depth. I could not locate an artist signature but the bottom has the green D&C limoges backstamp. No chips or cracks but has some minor flaws; however, for being over 100 years old, it is a really beautiful work of art. Flaws: it some gold paint missing on each lion; some tiny white straw marks on the roses but there is glaze over those, and one exterior scratch this is hard to find unless right under your nose. There is also some wear off the gold rim. The interior bottom is worn because it had been used as a planter with live plants in it; it had some dirt still in it when purchased, see pics. Picture #7 shows the intricate spider webs painted on this jard; those are not cracks or hairlines. It is 9 inches tall x 9.25 wide and it is quite fat. Price is firm. USA only; cashier's check only. If you want to order it, please e-mail me your zip code first for a more accurate shipping quote. 10/06thau#202

victorianjard0317

Victorian National China Co. Jardiniere Lovely Victorian jardinaire by The National China Co. Marked on the bottom: The National China Co., E.L.O. (East Liverpool Ohio). c: 1899-1915. Large jardinaire; perfect for ferns, real or faux! This company was taken over by Harker Pottery Co., then became American Chinaware Co. which went out of business in 1932. This is a large jard for ferns, orchids, etc. The colors are beautiful on it; teal blue/green. It does have some flaws as shown in the photos; one hairline, some crazing and some stray lines; see photos 5-6 and enlarge them. I believe part of it is hand painted, other flowers are transferware. It is china, not porcelain. It stands 8 inches tall x 9.5 wide. The flaws are not really noticeable when it has a plant in it and I think it looks gorgeous despite the flaws. But, if you need perfection, don't buy antiques. 3/17

If you want to order this item e-mail me your zip code first for a more accurate ship quote since the weight I put on here is just a guess at this point. 4/10djcs

jardinaire4014

Victorian Creamware Jardiniere Victorian jardiniere by Borroughs & Mountford Regal China Co. c:1897-1882, Trenton, N.J. 'Creameware' is what this style is called. It is a large gorgeous jard despite having a couple of minor condition problems. It is 7.25 tall x 7.25 wide. It has one hairline on the top rim as shown in pic #7; this is an easy repair by a ceramacist; or you can do it yourself with a porcelain repair kit from a hardware store. It also has one small chip off bottom rim which doesn't show or affect stance, see pic #6. It has some age/wear on the interior because apparently someone used it as a planter for live plants, see pic #8 closeup. It also has one tiny area of discoloration that is off to the side of the jard, see photo #5. It is lovely despite the age/wear, and you can add a faux plant to it if you want to use it. Looks pretty with a fern or large multi-orchid plant! Double backstamped on bottom with the B&M Regal China mark in brown; and B&M China mark in blue and #727. I believe the flowers are hand painted; no dots as there would be if it were transferware. 5/14
Circa: 1879

Victorian Jardiniere Victorian jardiniere. Majolica style finish. Very pretty mid sized jardinaire for a fern or orchid! It is 6.75 tall x 7.75 wide. Three stilt marks on the bottom. It has one surface flake off one of the flowers circling the jard, see close up photo #7. I had to turn it a few times before even noticing it. All over faint crazing. I believe it was likely made by Brush McCoy, Weller or Roseville around the turn of the century. 10/16

jardinaire4089

Antique Victorian Jardiniere Large antique Victorian dark gloss green jardiniere. It has raised leafy fronds/scrolls, and an underglaze number #87 on bottom with 3 stilt marks. Age est: late 1800's-early 1900's. It has one minor flaw which is hard to find: a 1.5 inch tight hairline on top rim, (seal it with superglue on interior), with 3 pinhead size dots of missing glaze on the hairline. This is a really beautiful antique jard; stick a big live or silk fern plant in it! 8.5 tall x 9.25 wide. These jards look great at the holidays with poinsettas or small x-mas trees in them too! They sell cheap imitation pottery at design centers with cracks, chips, crazing for way more money; why not get the real deal? #2013-djau-4/08
Circa: 1900's

Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Pedestal Blended glaze vintage Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Pedestal. RRP is no longer in business. No chips or cracks, but does have some spots on rim where brown glaze did not adhere to the clay, however, it does have glaze over these spots. This is called the 'flowers' pattern, and it was made from an old Weller mold; RRP bought the Weller molds when Weller closed in the 1940's. It is shown in the RRP book. This pedestal stands 13.5 tall x 8.5 wide across bottom and 6 wide at top. These pedestals also make great tables, just set a round piece of glass on the top instead of a jardinaire! Any of the green/brown blended pottery will look good on this pedestal. USA destinations only. dd-au-1/4-CC-V

pwel06061

Weller Art Pottery Thistle Jardiniere Vintage Weller Pottery thistle motif jardiniere. Stunning, good sized Weller 'Light Glaze Jardiniere'. This is a rather hard to find Weller. Not marked, but the identical 7 inch size is shown on pg. 141 of the 1999 book by Huxford. This jars measures 9 inches across at the top rim, about 8.5 high x about 32 inches in diameter. Soft grey/blue color with milk thistle flowers. I do not see any hairlines, but there are a couple of glaze misses, and it looks like some glaze crackles on the raised flowers/stems and a shrink line. There is one teeny surface flake on the burgandy and pink part of another flower, which is really hard to even find. The little flaws are not noticeable unless you have it right under your nose looking for them. This is an outstanding Weller jardinaire that would be perfect displayed atop a plant stand or pedestal. You can see one of the small glaze misses in one of the pics, the others are too small to photograph. The price reflects the tiny flaws, and it took me 5 times checking it before I even discovered the flaws, so you're not going to notice them either! These types of flaws are common due to the raised detailed design. Perfect for a faux or live fern plant! roflcs

rrp0617

Ransbottom Vintage Small Oil Jar Vintage RRP small oil jar vase. Very heavy; incised number on bottom which I think says: #139/. It has the dash line mark which is how I knew it was an RRP item. These came is a variety of sizes and colors; many were used for garden ware or as floor vases. This one appears to be hand thrown, (ridges in it and no mold line); bottom edge is also quite worn and smooth indicating age. Age estimate: 1930's or earlier. It stands 12 inches tall. Minor surface age/ware, but no chips or cracks. I have seen people display these in various sizes in 3's on the front porches; some add grasses and trailing plants. They can also be used indoors. And, you can spray paint them in any color you want to go with your decor; I sprayed some of my mauve oil jars in satin white by Rustoleum to give them a new contemporary life; see photo #8 of my oil jar! 6/17

McCoy Pottery Jardiniere Butterfly Antique McCoy Pottery matte glaze jardiniere. c:1940. Nice looking good sized butterfly jardinaire as the book calls it. I guess if you stare at the rim long enough it sort of looks like butterflies. Shown on pg. 63 of the 1980 book by S. Huxford. No chips or cracks; just a clay gouge on bottom. It has 3 stilt marks on bottom and is 7.75 wide x 6.75 tall and is shown in the McCoy books. This jard looks great with a faux fern, orchid, etc. in it. I don't think it was ever used for live plants. A great addition to your McCoy collection! Price is firm. 5/13brcs
