Hull Pottery Bear Planter Vintage Hull Pottery bear planter. c.1930's Shown in J. Snyder's 2001 book. The one shown in the book is priced over $100, however, it has more cold paint on it, and I believe it was signed by the artist. This one has only the cold paint on his face left. Good vintage condition though, no chips or cracks. Incised mark: USA #63. 6 long x 5.25 high. Great for shabby chic decor or for your Hull or novelty collection.

Hull Royal Butterfly Lavabo Vintage Hull Pottery Royal Butterfly Lavabo. c:early 1950's. Awesome, heavy-duty, beautifully made, and no chips or cracks. Incised Hull mark; the top piece has the mold no. #86 and the bottom piece has mold no. #87, just as the book indicates, and this lavabo is pictured in B. Roberts 1980 Hull Ency. The top piece is 10 long x about 7 wide; bottom piece is 6 long x 9.25 wide. This lavabo is a very pretty teal blue with white specks. It has eyelets in the back of it for hanging it on a wall. I think the color on this one looks better with today's contemporary colors, unlike the pink Hull lavabos I have seen on the net. The book price in 1980 was $145-$195. You could place this in an entryway; an atrium, powder room wall; in an alcove in the garden, etc. You can put silk flowers or fruit in the bowl. Guaranteed vintage Hull Pottery and you can't beat this price!

Hull Pottery Crabapple Vase Vintage matte white Hull Pottery Crabapple vase. c:1930's. This is considered a 'hard to find' if not rare, Hull item because they were not marked and not a lot of shapes were made. It is shown in J.G. Hull's book on pg. 25, row 1. This vase is the 8 inch size. No chips or cracks; one spider line near top that at first glance looks like a hairline but nothing is detected with my fingernail, pic #6. Has a couple of smudgy black marks, and some tiny red marks, just from age and handling; all over faint crazing. Kovel's prices the 8 inch white vase at $155 in 1995. wallpocket100411

Vintage Flower Wallpocket Matte white vintage art pottery wallpocket. The flower might be a climbing rose. This feels and looks like it could be a Hull or Weller but I have not located it yet. It has a couple of minor visible flaws. It has a tiny surface flake off rim of planter, some discoloration on surface there also, and a couple of gouges and pinpops. The discoloration is within the glaze and it was made this way wherever it was made. A small trailing silk plant would cover the flaws nicely. The backside, which you don't see has some larger pops and a fleabite on bottom back. It has an eyehole for hanging and is 7 tall x 6 wide. Great for a shabby chic room, powder room, etc. 10/11gibcs

Antique Hull Yellow Ware Bowl Antique Hull Pottery yellow ware bowl. Blue bands. Incised mark: H in circle; #421, 8. It is 8 wide x 4 tall. This is being sold as a collectible display item; I did not manufacture it so I do not know whether it is food safe or not. There is some discoloration; this is common on antique yellowware, and 2 old small chips on top rim edge and a few tiny fleabites on top rim. Antique yellow ware is very brittle, porous pottery so it tends to discolor over time and is very prone to chipping especially if it was used to crack eggs on the rim. It still displays rather nice. 1/12scrs

Hull Basket Lady Planter Vintage Hull Pottery basket lady planter. Pretty planter that is shown in the book. Almost 8.5 tall. Incised mark: USA 954 on bottom. One flaw: a little chigger bite off bottom front rim of dress; pic #5 is a closeup. It is hard to even spot unless looking for it closely. She is kind of a pale bisque color. 5/13lte

Vintage Hanging Pottery Basket Beautiful vintage matte white pottery basket/jardinaire. This is being sold as a collectible display item; I did not manufacture it so I do not know whether it is food safe or not. My guess is early Hull Pottery, but can't verify. It looks like the Morning Glory pattern which was not mass produced so finding it in a book might be hard to do. It has 3 holes near top rim for hanging. It has small flowers and leaves circling the top rim and a large raised pattern on bottom. It is not marked. It stands 4.75 tall x 8.25 wide. Flaw: There is one small rim glaze skip or it is a very old chip. The area is smooth so I think it is just a glaze skip. The photo is a magnified image with the jard tilted up; in realilty it really doesn't show much or detract from the jard. You could hang it and put a faux fern in it or just display it with other matte white pottery. It is a very attractive old jard/basket. 8/14

hullpottery1014

Rare Hull Pottery Watering Can Rare Hull Pottery. Incised mark: U.S.A. 33 5 1/2" which corresponds to the book, pg. 33, 7th edit. by J. Hull. This item is actually 6.25 tall. It is shown in that book as a 'teapot', but there is no lid with this item and it does not have any type of ledge for a lid to fit in the top, so not sure if it was really was supposed to be a watering pitcher vase and someone just stuck a lid on the one shown in the book and said it was a teapot?? I have found the books to be incorrect on many occasions. I really doubt this was supposed to be a teapot; it is the wrong shape for a teapot and it has a rather large opening with no ledge for a lid. The pattern could be open rose, or granada/mardi gras, not sure. It has some flaws: a lot of crazing; some pindots, and it has 2 small hairlines; one on the top area and one on the cross bar area leading to the spout. Both are tight. The other lines are just spider lines, not hairlines. It also has a small depressed whitish area on top rim which looks like a chip in the photo but this is glazed over and is just an imperfection in the clay. Despite all the aging it displays fine on a shelf. Please enlarge and view all photos. The reduced price reflects the flaws. I have only seen one other one on the net and that one sold quite awhile ago and it did not have a lid either. 0/14

Hull Pottery Cookie Jar Vintage Vintage Hull Pottery duck cookie jar. Big, heavy, old jar with incised mark: Hull #966 USA. This is being sold as a collectible display item only because I did not make it and I don't know if it was made with anything harmful in it. Stands about 12 tall. Most of the original cold paint is intact. No chips; just has one very tight, faint one inch hairline near backside rim. I did not even discover it until I looked at it under a light and had it up very close. Of the 3 cookie jars shown in one of the pictures, the duck is the heaviest, then the McCoy, then the Am. Bisque. Just run a bead of superglue to seal the hairline. You know you'd pay more than this at a live auction! Guaranteed vintage Hull Pottery!
