Antique Hatpin
Antique hatpin. Lovely old hatpin with brass nib; aka end piece which screws onto the pick, and a fancy bakelite? top piece. The stem also appears to be made of brass. It is in very good condition and is 7.5 long. A gorgeous hat pin to use or just display in your antique hat pin holder. To see similar hatpins, see pg. 87 of Lillian Baker's book and date to the 1920's. This came from a Boos Gallery auction many years ago; he was the guy that used to be on the Antiques Roadshow with the bowtie. Add some flair to your KY derby hat!

Very beautiful, hand painted and artist signed feminine hatpin holder. The name looks like 'K Meyer'. It stands 4.5 tall x 2.5 wide. It is hollow and open on bottom; you can stuff it with a cork or put flower foam and put a piece of felt on the bottom if you want to close it off. Victorian Gold Finish Hatpin
Victorian hatpin. Stunning hatpin featuring a purple glass stone that is likely an amethyst. It has an elegant gold metal filigree surround, and a very long stem. It measures 12 long, and the top piece is about 2.5 x 2. The metal is still quite bright so I am wondering if this is 10k gold, except I cannot find any stamp marks on it. The stone has a chip on it, but this is not really noticeable unless trying to see it. This hatpin is quite stunning displayed in a vintage hatpin holder, or you could actually use it! The queen of your hatpin collection! Most of the hatpins being sold are from the licquidation of two antique dealers estates in Bloomf. Hills, MI at a Boos Gallery auction. Frank Boos; was one of the original appraisers who used to be on the 'Antiques Roadshow'. Add some flair to your KY derby hat!

Victorian Sterling Silver Hatpin
Antique sterling silver hatpin. Marked: Sterling, and has other writing on other side of it, too tiny for me to make it out. It is 6.5 long and in good condition. It is smaller than the pic shows because that is a magnified picture. See pg. 75 book by L. Baker to see similar hatpins.

Victorian Filligree Metal Haptin
Victorian filligree metal hatpin. See pic #2 for a closer view. Very detailed; nice condition; dark patina from age. It is 9 inches long. It looks like there might be a tiny mark on the stem, near top, but it is too tiny to make it out even with a magnifier. Then again, it may not even be a mark. Age est: 1800's. brncs3.07
