Early Zanesville Matte Green Vase & Frog Antique Zanesville matte green dish garden and frog. This vase/planter is shown on page 198 of the ZSC book, shape 208; c:1920's. Very nice condition for its age. It has 3 stilt marks on bottom and no chips or cracks. It is 7 wide x 3 tall with a raised leaf design. There are a couple of pin dot pops in the glaze as expected for ZSC. You also get the mottled matted green flower disc to display in it, 2.5 wide x 1 tall. Pic #5 shows it next to a ZSC aqua jardinaire. Outstanding pottery for your arts & crafts collection! ro-cs8/09+frg

Art Pottery Flower Frog Vintage art pottery lilly pad flower frog. Unique, hard-to-find item! Blue blended glazed lilly pad flower holder/frog. This item is shown in the Zanesville book, with same measurements, but another person relates it is also shown in the Fulper book. The clay on bottom is different from ZSC, so Fulper is more likely. Early companies copied each other frequently. This lilly pad has a grease mark on bottom, #50 and what appears to be a letter and then a P, but not sure on the letters because they are quite faded. It measures 3.75 wide one way, and 4 wide another way; and is 1.75 high. No chips or cracks, but does have crazing if you look at it upside down. Can you live without this little beauty?

Green Flower Frog Green flower frog. Not sure if this is quite vintage but it is nicely made; quite hefty. It is 5 inches long x 3.25 wide. It has what appears to be a large bubble pop, see photo; a couple of glaze skips and a few tiny bits of clay waste. A neat addition to your frog collection or flower frog collection! 10/18

Ungemach Vintage Vase and Frog Cool vintage Ungemach Pottery vase and metal flower frog. Nice blended glaze gloss vase, (very heavy, dry runners on bottom). I just found out that this is an unnmarked UPCO vase. I was at an estate sale and found an identical one, albeit in a larger size with the UPCO mark on it. I first thought this might be a Hull Woodlands vase, but it's not. It came with the metal flower frog seen in some of the pictures. The frog was attached to the vase with old floral goop which I have removed for you. The vase is 2.5 tall x 6.5 long. UPCO was in business in Roseville, Ohio, but is now out of biz.

phag06062

Haeger Vase and Cherub Flower Insert Vintage Haeger pedestal vase and a Japan cherub flower insert. Gorgeous matte white Haeger pedestal vase and a free matte white flower insert with purchase! Very shabby chic! No chips or cracks and measures 9 wide x 4 high. It has the blue ink Haeger mark on the bottom and a number which I can't quite make out. Since it has the inkstamp on it I am assuming this one is a vintage vase, since the new Haeger items only have paper labels and bar codes on them. Age est: 1930's-40's. The flower insert is awesome! It was made in Japan, has a black Japan foil sticker, but if it didn't have that, you would mistake this for a Weller it is so beautifully made. I think these two look great together as a table centerpiece but you could use them separately. The insert is a cherubic figure holding something. He stands 7 tall x 4.5 wide. If using together, just add a little bit of flower goop to secure him in place in the vase. Great items for shabby chic, country, or cottage style abodes.

zscjard1016

Zanesville Stoneware Jardiniere & Flower Frog Zanesville stoneware jardiniere and flower frog. I am confident this is a vintage ZSC jard; heavy duty, and has the same pattern as another vase shown in the book, but is a different shape on this jard. This good sized jard is 6.25 tall x 7.5 wide. Bottom is very aged and worn; age estimate 1940's. It has one very tight small hairline on top rim, see photo #8 and some glaze pops and flubs as is common on ZSC items. The flower frog is 3.75 tall and has no makers mark but looks hand formed and might be an early ZSC item. It has no chips or cracks; about 3 flubbers in the glaze that you can see enlarge the photos you can see a couple of them. Great jard for an Orchid or Fern, whether faux or live plant! 10/16
