Victorian Niagara Falls Trinket Box
Awesome antique Niagara Falls brass trinket/jewelry box. The lid is glass with a picture of Niagara Falls. The picture has little cut aways in it seemingly for a 3-d effect. The interior lid has a puffy silk lining, but this is very worn and torn; on the bottom interior there is an old silk piece of fabric with orchids. This box is quite hefty and the brass is very detailed and lovely. There are also 6 bunnies in the box that you get with it, (they were there when purchased). Age est: Victorian era. A great cross-collectible: souvineer and vintage vanity item! One of a kind. 10/08estcs

Victorian Candle Shield Oil
Antique signed oil painted candle shield. Bottom of ormolu? base has incised mark that reads 'OOPER'; lst letter is worn off, but in the photo you can make out an 'H'. Attributed to Henry Hooper, a well-known Boston Mfg. of brass, bronze and metalworks. The painting is signed 'Peterboro'. Stunning fine art, oil painting on board. The painting features a church; windmill, cottage; women and children, etc. Painting has all over striations/crazing. One tiny area appears to be just about ready to flake off just above the windmill, (a professional can correct that very easily). The painting is attached to an metal base which has a lever to adjust the shield up or down. In down position this item stands 15.75 tall x 9 wide, (small painting, but truly beautiful!). Candle shields were used to deflect heat away from a person seated near a candle. It is a wonderful, unique item; a work of art for the discriminating consumer! An item you may never come across again in your lifetime. If you need a fabulous furniture accessory, this is it! USA only. 9/06cryau#

Art Pottery Flower Frog
Vintage art pottery lilly pad flower frog. Unique, hard-to-find item! Blue blended glazed lilly pad flower holder/frog. This item is shown in the Zanesville book, with same measurements, but another person relates it is also shown in the Fulper book. The clay on bottom is different from ZSC, so Fulper is more likely. Early companies copied each other frequently. This lilly pad has a grease mark on bottom, #50 and what appears to be a letter and then a P, but not sure on the letters because they are quite faded. It measures 3.75 wide one way, and 4 wide another way; and is 1.75 high. No chips or cracks, but does have crazing if you look at it upside down. Can you live without this little beauty?

Antique Hatpin
Antique hatpin. Lovely old hatpin with brass nib; aka end piece which screws onto the pick, and a fancy bakelite? top piece. The stem also appears to be made of brass. It is in very good condition and is 7.5 long. A gorgeous hat pin to use or just display in your antique hat pin holder. To see similar hatpins, see pg. 87 of Lillian Baker's book and date to the 1920's. This came from a Boos Gallery auction many years ago; he was the guy that used to be on the Antiques Roadshow with the bowtie. Add some flair to your KY derby hat!

Porcelain Vanity Tray and Accessories
Fabulous porcelain vanity tray with accessories. Large, elegant feminine tray with matching cologne bottles, and a powder box. You are only paying for the tray and cologne bottles, the powder box is free since the lid has a crack in it. The tray looks small in the photos because I had to take the shot from afar to fit it all in. The tray has a blue beehive mark and number which looks like a Royal Vienna mark, however, it is an overglaze mark, thus, it may be another company from the same region. RV marks are supposed to be under the glaze, however, porcelain vanity tray bottoms are rarely glazed. According to research, about 40 other factories in the same geographic region copied Royal Vienna items, and depending on the quality of the item, they can be quite pricey. See Antiques Roadshow; a RV copy was worth $5-$8,000! Whether this is a true RV mark or another company from that region is not certain. The tray has a blue number #7730 and beehive; and no chips or cracks, and is 16 x 12 inches; raised painted flowers, and gold accents. The cologne bottles are 10.5 tall; just showing some wear off the gold on the stoppers; and are numbered: #7727 with blue beehive mark, no chips or cracks. The powder box is also numbered #7727 with blue beehive symbol; the lid had been previously repaired by someone, and the gold is somewhat worn on top finial. Aside from the crack on the powder box, this entire set is in very good condition, and is quite stunning whether it is RV or another similar company. It came from a very affluent estate sale; folks went into assisted living. 9/05brdwn

Antique Celluloid Accessory Box
Antique celluloid accessory box. This box once held manicure implements. The lid features a lady in a row boat. This box is in quite lovely condition for its age and has a blue silk/satin lining. It is 9.25 wide x 3 tall x 5 deep. It has an old paper label on the bottom and some numbers/letters in blue ink; fairly certain it is a vintage Italian paper label. The perfect feminine gift! These antique celluloid boxes are not usually found in this good of condition. au

Vintage Lustreware Shaving Mug
Vintage lustreware shaving mug. Beautiful shaving mug with lustre finish on exterior and gold leaves with raised gold dots. It is numbered in gold on bottom: #12030 and has a tiny crossed lines/sword symbol. This mug stands 3.5 tall x 3.5 wide. Just showing some wear from the gold on the upper rim edge. The mug is likely German or Austrian. These look great on a shelf in the powder room!

Vintage Hatpin
Vintage hatpin. This is a rather neat old hatpin. It has a brass stem, (heavy duty), and a white milk glass? top with rhinestone center. It is 8.75 inches long and in good vintage condition. Pic 5 is an inexpensive, but cool way to display your vintage hatpins and jewelry; stuff a vintage glove and tie a ribbon on the open end!

Pink Roses Vanity Assortment
Vintage pink roses porcelain vanity accessory assortment. Some items are vintage, but not sure on others. All feature pink roses. First is a gorgeous Royal Sealy vintage covered porcelain footed jar w/foil label on bottom, good condition, 4.5 wide x 5 tall; (you can use it for powder, pins etc.). It has a lustre finish with large roses and gold trim. Next is a beautiful shaving mug, good condition, 3.5 tall x 3 wide; next is a an 11 inch decorative plate with 2 backstamps: Shumanh Arzberg Germany, and E&R Melrose, est. 1886, #30 with cutout edge, (E&R is the importer's mark for Ebeling & Reuss Co.); next is a small vintage oval dish, (soap dish?) with green underglaze mark for Epiag, Cecho-slovakia, (Elbogen Bohemia, c:1941-1945). Next is a lovely porcelain tumbler with gold number #8135, (likely German), and is 3.75 tall x 2.75 wide. Very feminine, pretty items to set on a shelf in your new, made to look vintage powder room, or atop a vanity table or washstand! Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy!

Vintage porcelain mustache mug. Very beautiful hand painted mug with word: 'Apresent' in gold. Good condition; just a bit of wear off the gold on top area and handle. It stands 2.75 tall x 3.25 wide. This one is unmarked on bottom, but bottom rim is fairly worn and smooth indicating that it is quite old. Likely German and probably antique. Large antique beveled mirror vanity plateau. Original tin bottom. No maker's mark on it. The metal surround is a bit tarnished and there is some fine minor scratching as expected on the mirror. It will be beautiful on a vanity table with all your pretty perfume bottles, or on a dining table with a crystal bowl on it! Czech Perfume Bottle Large Vintage
Large vintage Czech perfume bottle. Not marked, but 99% sure it is Czech. Intangilo glass stopper. It stands 7.75 tall x 3.75 wide. It has a couple of specks of wear on the stopper; and one tiny flake of glass off the base which is hard to see unless under your nose; pic #5 is a magnified image of it. It has a bit of old perfume residue in bottom of bottle; soak with soapy water and remove with a tiny bottle brush. It is a very beautiful bottle despite the tiny age/wear flaws. 10/09contrMC

Stylebuilt Vanity Tray & Mirror
Very attractive oval vanity mirror and an enameled hand mirror. The tray is marked: Stylebuilt Made in USA; has angels and heart design on handles. It is 13 long x 7 wide. The mirror in the vanity tray is a wee bit loose, but when sitting on a table it is just fine. The hand mirror is very pretty; it has an enameled picture on one side with an onyx handle. 12/10s#

Irice Czech Perfume Bottle
Gorgeous cut glass perfume bottle. It had an Irice foil label on it when purchased but I cannot find it now; it had to fall off somewhere around here so if I find it I will put it back on. The label said Irice, N.Y., and Irice was an importer of Czech perfume bottles back in the 1930's. This bottle has no chips or cracks but does have some minor scratching on bottom indicative of its age. It is 7.75 tall x 3.25 wide. A stunning bottle for your collection! 3/10brn#2955

Beautiful vintage perfume bottle. Likely an Irice import from Czechoslovakia c:1930's but missing the foil label. It sparkles like crystal but might be pressed/pattern glass. It is almost 7 inches tall x 3.75 wide. No visible flaws; just has one glass flake missing on bottom edge of stopper which you cannot see when stopper is in place. Hand Painted Hat Pin Holder
Very beautiful, hand painted and artist signed feminine hatpin holder. The name looks like 'K Meyer'. It stands 4.5 tall x 2.5 wide. It is hollow and open on bottom; you can stuff it with a cork or put flower foam and put a piece of felt on the bottom if you want to close it off. Czechoslovakian Perfume Bottle Vintage
Vintage Czechoslovakian perfume bottle. Acid etched oval mark on bottom: Made in Czechoslovakia. It is 6.25 tall. A beautiful collectible bottle. A perfume bottle has three parts: the stopper, (top piece that fits into the bottle); the dauber, which is a long slender tube that is attached to the stopper and goes into the base; and the bottom base of the bottle. The dauber is broken off which is very common on these older bottles and this is not considered to detract from the price. The stopper has cutout roses; and a couple of teensy-tiny chigger bites, also very common. The interior of bottle edge where stopper fits into the base is showing some wear and this is probably from lifting the stopper out of bottle many times over the years. It is a very elegant vintage bottle for use or just to display. This would make a lovely gift for the woman that loves pretty things on her vanity table! These bottles sell for over $250 on other sites, why pay more? 11/12nhcs

Gorgeous vintage Mele brass and onyx vanity box. It is for jewelry, trinkets, rollex, etc. Older item; has foil label on the bottom: Mele, Made in Japan; darkened patina on the metal. I believe the surround is onyx; it is a very heavy box for its size. Green velvet lined. It is 3 inches tall x 5 wide x 3.5 deep. It is a beautiful vintage box. Perfect for a special lady!
