Rural Scene Signed Vintage Print Vintage rural scene signed print. The first name near bottom of the print is 'Harold'; the last name starts with 'Law . . . , but unfortunately I cannot make out the last letters of the name. Judging by the remants of the back paper, this print likely dates to the late 1800's-early 1900's. The frame has some age/wear but it is mainly on the bottom edges. The wood frame is 14.5 tall x 11.5 wide. The glass needs to be cleaned and it would be beneficial to replace the glass with non-glare glass. The picture is of a country manor with a man pushing a wheelbarrow, a seated female figure and a sundial. It looks like a setting in the English countryside. 1/13

Artist Signed Drawing Artist signed drawing. This looks like a drawing with water colors. Signed L. J. Ulrey? 8-85. It is really nicely done. The glass is not non-glare so the photos did not come out great, and the glass could use a cleaning. This frame is 15.75 wide x 13 long. The original back paper is intact which is why I did not take it out to clean the glass. Great for an office or for the person who loves sailing! 4/13smc

Signed Vintage Watercolor Vintage signed watercolor. Nice old painting signed: Bricker 14. It looks like a bit of discoloration near bottom left side but not sure. It is 13.5 wide x 11 tall. This would work well in a mission/arts & crafts style room. A larger frame with a matte would also be nice for this watercolor. 2/11brcs

Artist Signed Vintage Oil Painting Signed vintage oil painting. Very attractive and well done fine art oil on board; autumn scene. Unfortunately the signature is hard to read; all I can make out is J H---- H----. It is a very old painting, likely antique. It needs a couple of tiny nails to hold the picture in the back; some of original nails are gone. The frame is in good condition and is 20.5 long x 14.5 tall; oil on board is 18 long x 12 tall. egaucs-r12/07

Lucas Teixeira Vintage Oil Painting Vintage signed oil painting. Signed: Teix. Lucas, c: 19th C. I researched this artist awhile ago and came upon an art gallery site that had a 1969 painting done by this artist that sold for or was for sale for $700. This artist's name is Lucas Teixeira of Portugal, but he signs his art as 'Teix. Lucas'. This painting came from a high end estate sale in Franklin, MI as I noted on the back of the art. It was not framed; I had it framed with an antique frame I had on-hand and kept it hanging in my office but I am redoing the room so I have to let it go. It is 20.5 tall x 16.5 wide in the frame. Unframed it seems to be about 15.75 x 12 wide. It is a very well done oil painting. Email me your zip code for a more accurate ship quote prior to ordering. 4/17

Signed Vintage Framed Art Signed vintage framed art. Not sure if this is a print or water color as I did not remove it from the frame. It is an oak frame with glass. The artist's signature looks like R. Hopkins or A. Hopkins, not sure. It is in good vintage condition and has an old foil label on the back of the frame: John Willis Art Shop 228-230 Brush St., Detroit, Mich. Note the old State abbreviation. In the frame it is 11.75 wide x 15.5 long; unframed it would be 9.25 wide x 12.75 long. Nice looking vintage art for an office, library, etc. 2/18

Signed Vintage Print Vintage print signed: Smith-Haldt? Nice old print in wood frame. It is 21.5 long x 14.75 tall. Some age-wear, but not bad at all. The scene depicts women and children on a beach; clamming? oysters? lobsters? Not sure what they are doing but one person is holding a large net and they are carrying baskets. Any white spots on the picture are from camera glare; the glass is old glass, before non-glare glass was even made. 1/19

Donna Corner Landscape Oil Signed landscape oil on board. Signed: Donna Corner. Thick painting, done with a painting knife. Very well done fine art. It looks like a California coastal scene. The frame is scuffed up and there is a little chunk of wood on the upper left side that got bumped off, see photo #6 which is a bit blurry. You could touch it up with antique gold paint or just re-frame it. In the frame it is almost 12.5 wide x 15.25 long; without frame it is 10.25 wide x 13.5 long. 8/09rocs

Signed Detroit Ren-Cen Watercolor Very nice signed Detroit Ren-Cen watercolor. This appears to be a watercolor and ink and/or pencil drawing, signed C.A. Powell; side reads: Detroit Ren-Cen, which is short for the 'Detroit Renaisannce Center'. This picture with frame is 10 long x 7 wide. It would probably look much better in a larger frame with a larger matte; this frame doesn't do much for the actual picture which is very well done! Perfect for a man's office or library!

Three Holland Oil Paintings - Sailing Ships Three Holland oil paintings of sailing ships. All 3 for one price. One is signed 'D. Winter', and I cannot make out the other two signatures. Two have stamps on the backsides of the canvas: Original Oil Painting, Made in Holland; and one has the number #374 on the back. The backside of the canvas is yellowed, so I do believe these are fairly old. The frames are horrid, but these oils would look fabulous if reframed properly, and hung in an office or library. Each oil is 9.5 wide x 7.75 high. The frames they are in are 11.5 x 10.75. 10/04det8csx3

These show up as very glossy in the photos but only the figurine has a sheen to it, not the background wall/rock. The camera often makes metal objects look super shiny when they are not really. Good overall condition; grey metal; very old felt on bottoms. There is a small separation line near the shoulder area on one of the male figurines, near the rock wall. These stand 5.25 tall x 4.5 wide. Awesome antique bookends! 3/10lab#2975

Antique JB Lady of Theatre Bookend Antique JB comedy and tragedy single bookend. aka Lady of The Theatre. c:1920's. Grey metal clad with deep, dark copperery finish. Very dark patina. Love this bookend! Pairs are selling for over $800 on other sites but they look like faux ones. This is the real deal. Raised mark on back: J.B. 1529; front has C.V.V. This item does have some age flaws; some tiny breaks in the metal; some tiny scrape marks on ladies arm and chest. Some scratches on the front oval portion and 2 pinholes near bottom front ledge. Looking at it from a foot away, you really do not see any flaws due to the dark patina on her. The lady is holding 2 actor's masks: comedy & tragedy, and she has wings. This bookend is 6.25 tall x a bit over 4.5 wide x 3.25 deep. One bookend can be used in a bookshelf or cabinet to hold the books against the other end of the cabinet. 10/14

Antique Hammered Copper Vase Awesome antique hammered copper vase. This vase looks a bit small in the photo, but this is a good sized vase. Incised mark: 'Mexico'. This is a really fabulous piece; very attractive with a great patina. Age est: 1910-20's or earlier. Nice condition; quite hefty with wrought iron handles that are riveted onto the base with old deep reddish paint on the handles. It stands 10 inches tall x 9 wide. A great furniture accessory. Mexico is well known for their fine copper and silversmiths. One of the nicest pieces of copper I have on hand right now. 11/09actestblmf#2707

Vintage Hammered Copper Vessel Vintage hammered copper vessel. It has a darker, richer patina than the photos show it; the camera tends to brighten up metalware. It has a loop handle that is riveted on. It stands 6 inches tall x 8 wide, not counting handle. No maker's mark on it. It has just a couple of dots of green patination/oxidation and one small worn surface area, see photo #8. Overall, it is a very nice piece of solid copper for an arts/crafts room or copper collection. It could be old CA or Mexican copper, not sure but I don't think it is Turkish, style is not similar. A great addition to your arts and crafts room or copper collection. 12/12rocs

pbrd04042

Signed Vintage Art Pottery Vase Signed art pottery vase. Very unique art pottery. It is a heavy, exceptionally well made matte aqua vase or ashtray that looks like Arts & Crafts/Studio pottery to me. It also bears an incised number and name on the bottom dry rims, however, I could not make out the name, so I put a water-based paint wash just over the incised mark to see if I could make out the name. It looks like there is a G-i-or l, then another letter, then an x, and then I can't make it out. The number looks like 4001 or 4004. (the paint has been removed). This item is in good condition, (the pics show some dirt but I have since cleaned this off); all-over very faint crazing that you can only see upon very close inspection. Again, the pics on this one just do not capture how really well-made this item is. It measures 6 long, 3 wide x 4 tall. Age est: 1920's.
