Vintage Camark? Shakers
Vintage pottery shakers. Camark Pottery? Gloss aqua shakers w/dry bottom rims and white clay. Probably Camark Pottery Co. No chips or cracks and stand 2.5 inches tall. One is missing the cork stopper which is easy to replace. Nice old shakers if you collect vintage shakers or vintage aqua pottery!

Camark & USA Pottery Small Vases
Three vintage aqua pottery small vases for one price. The first one is a Camark; see 2nd picture. It is shown in the book and is marked: 264 USA. It is 4 inches tall. The basket vase is a Shawnee shown on pg. 43 of J. Mangus' book and marked USA. It is 3 inches tall x 3.5 wide. Last is the Boys Town Pottery shoe. It is 5.25 long. Boys Town pottery was made from 1948 to 1993. This particular shoe is said to be shown on pg. 193 of the 1999 book by J. Rans titled: Coll's Ency. of Muncie Pottery, (the book does not provide a date for when it was made). However, because of the glaze, weight, etc., I do believe this shoe is from the 1940's, early 50's. Boys Town was formed in 1917 for orphaned and wayward boys in Omaha, Nebraska. Spencer Tracey won an academy award for his portrayal of Father Flannigan the Irish Catholic Priest who founded the home. No chips or cracks on any of them. These smaller USA pottery items are great to collect if you don't have a lot of space. 7/13vs

Arts & Crafts Overflow Vase
Vintage arts & crafts art pottery overflow vase. I found the same shaped vase in my Camark book; it is shown in the yellow overflow glaze on pg. 58 of D. Gifford's book II. And, the coloring is the same as the vases shown on pg. 53. This vase is unmarked, but it is an oldie and I am fairly confident now that it is indeed an early Camark art pottery vase since the underlying clay on the bottom is white and it has the same shape. This is a super nice matte blended glaze. Wavy design. No mold lines so it was likely hand made. It has an old gouge on bottom rim which doesn't show or affect stance. One large glaze circular pop on interior bottom which also doesn't show. And a couple of teensy tiny fleaspecks along bottom rim which are hard to even find unless looking for them. I consider these flaws very minor and I just mention them so you know it is not perfect, but is close if you love early art pottery! As you can see from the pics, you really cannot even see the fleaspecks at the bottom unless the vase is right up under your nose. It is 5 inches tall. Mauve, teal coloring. Gorgeous old pottery. 3/13labcs

Stoneware Vintage Vase
Vintage stoneware vase. It is likely Camark Pottery; it has white clay on the bottom rim. It is heavy duty and well made. It has one glaze skip on top rim, see photo. It is missing the aqua glaze, but it is glazed over and is not a chip. It has one gouge in the dry bottom rim which doesn't show and one pindot piece of clay waste around bottom area. It stands a bit over 6 inches tall x 6.5 wide across the top. Perfect for faux orchids, African Violets, etc. I have not had time to check the books yet but confident it is Camark. 6/19

Camark First Block Art Pottery
Super nice vintage matte aqua Camark art pottery vase. c:1930's. It has the 'lst block letter' mark on bottom: 'Camark' see book for more info on this mark. No chips or cracks but has one dark dot on body on one side; it does not come off, not sure what it is, see photo #5. It is not really noticeable unless looking at it up close. It stands 6 tall x 4 wide. 5/10ggau#3092

Satin Matte Blue USA Vase
Vintage satin matte blue vase. Incised mark: USA on bottom. No chips or cracks; a rust ring on bottom interior of vase. Very pretty color. I thought it might be early Brush McCoy, but did not locate it yet; it might also be Camark. White clay bottom rim. This can be used as a vase or planter. 1/17

End-of-Day Rare Vintage Vases
Three vintage End-of-Day novelty vases. All 3 for one price. These are hard to find, unique small bisque vases with glazed interiors. They look identical to the ones pictured in the 1995 Vol. 2 book on Morton Pottery by D. Hall, pg. 256, photo #120; but could also be UHL, Camark, or another vintage American pottery company since most of the old Am. pottery companies made similar items. They are 3.5 tall, 1.75 inches wide across top rim, or 2.5 wide from end of handle to other end. The UHL book refers to this type of pottery as End-of-the-day pottery. One of the vases is in very good condition, no chips or cracks. The other has a fleabite on top rim and on the backside of it looks like the color didn't take too well, (it is faded looking, pic #6). 3rd vase shown: not sure if colors faded or if it was just made like this. These were glazed on the inside so they could hold water and be used as bud vases. The exteriors were left bisque and then decorated by dipping them into water in which water spar enamel was floated; see Morton book.

Retro USA Vase
Vintage art pottery vase. Aqua. Incised mark #223 and it looks like a Made in USA mark but the letters are backwards on it. This vase has a dry white clay bottom rim. No chips or cracks; a few black freckles, see pic #5. Not sure which company made it; could be Camark, Weller, Brush McCoy; Camark would be my best guess due to the white clay. It is 5.75 tall. It is a very nice piece of pottery; age est: 1930's. 10/13

Two Camark Pottery Pitchers and Bowls
Two Camark Pottery pitchers and bowls. Both for one price! One is a pale teal/aqua blue, and has no chips or cracks. It does have some crazing, but it is faint. It has the mark #224 Camark USA on the bottom of it and measures 6.5 high, and bowl is 8.25 wide. The little one has a faint USA mark on the pitcher and is a bit deeper aqua color. These would look awesome in a guest powder room or on an antique table! Camark, Camden, Arkansas, was in business from 1926-1984.

Vintage Wallpocket Matchsafe
Vintage art pottery wallpocket matchsafe or toothpick holder. Nice detailed item; no chips or cracks. Not sure if it is a matchsafe or toothpick holder; it could be used as either, but a matchsafe would be more likely. It is 5.5 tall x 4 wide. White unglazed clay on backside. It is heavy and I think it might be a Camark item but I have not checked the books yet. 12/12estcs
