Artist Signed Eagle Figurine Artist signed Eagle figurine. Very well made porcelain figurine. Signed: Theo. Bottom has an incised mark but all I can make out is the word: xxxxxx Mold. This looks like studio art; not an amateur artist. It stands almost 14 inches tall. Not sure of the age but it is not brand new; there is some age on the bottom area. The only flaw on it is a brown pin dot on the tail. The photo shows a magnified close up; in reality, you probably would not ever notice it unless looking for it see photo #8. Not sure what it is; it might be a stray paint speck? The size is perfect for displaying; not too small, not oversized! 2/18

Antique Iron Rooster Doorstop Antique iron rooster doorstop. This is an oldie! Bottom portion is very rusted. This is a large, heavy doorstop. I do not know who made it. The paint does not glow under a black light also indicating age. It stands 12.5 inches tall x 9 inches wide. It has a scroll design across the bottom, see photo of it. This is a great old rooster for your doorstop or rooster collection. I use some of my doorstops out in my garden beside a bench leg or against posts with birdhouse on them. You can leave as is or spray with some type of sealer to prevent more rust; something like a matte polyurethane. Or, be creative and totally redo it! 7/15

Hand Painted Porcelain Tray w/Bird This is a lovely hand painted porcelain tray. The bird looks like a gold finch. Signed, 'Moss' in green. No chips or cracks. The porcelain itself looks and feels like Limoges porcelain. There is one small spot on the bird's head that is whitish; not sure if that was by design or not but I think it is, see pic #3. I do not feel any wear on that spot and the painting is under the glaze so it would not have been from wear on the surface. This pretty tray would be perfect with a big candle on it and given as a hostess or housewarming gift, see photo. It is 7 long x 6.5 wide. 8/13scs

German Vintage Bird Shakers Vintage German bird shakers. They look like pheasants or quail. They have the word Germany in black; and a blue v symbol over what looks like a man holding an axe, but so tiny I am just guessing on the symbol. Incised: P 125 a and P 125 B. The male bird is almost 3 inches tall, other one is smaller. The male has one tiny flake off the top of his head, but it's hard to see from a few inches away and only shows if displayed on that side. Very pretty birds overall. 11/15

Antique Osborn Bird Cage Antique Osborn brass bird cage. Cage only, no stand. Very nice condition on this antique cage; it doesn't appear to have been used for a live bird. The front metal label reads: Osborn Mfg. Co., Hudson St. New York. Has 3 wood perches and wood swing. The 2 porcelain treat cups are Made in Germany; the back part of one of the seedcup is broken off. This small cage would have been used for a finch. It stands 11 inches tall not counting the top finial. It is 12.25 wide x 9.5 deep. The bottom tray is very thin and delicate. It is not as bright as the photos show; the camera illuminates metals. Due to its age it probably should just be used as a display or decorative item and not for birds. Age est: 1900's or earlier. I sold one of these to a museum quite a few years ago and it was not in as good of condition as this one is. 1/11k#3188

The cardinal has some flaws, but they really are not very noticeable, but it is free with purchase. The cardinal's tail has been glued back on, (old repair). Vintage USA Birdcage Ornament Very cool old chalkware parakeet birdcage ornament. Has incised USA mark on it. Some missing cold paint, but still a very neat and hard to find item. These were once used to clip onto to the top of a birdcages or clip onto the swing. The tail on this apparently broke off at some time and was glued back on. It is heavy, so I do believe it is American made, but it is not marked. It has no chips or cracks and stands 6 inches tall x 5.25 wide x 2.5 deep. Royal Copley Double Parakeet Figurine Royal Copley double parakeet figurine. Very attractive bird pottery! It is 7.5 tall x 5.5 wide and is shown in the RC book. The book shows 3 of these figurines; one is said to be marked: Spaulding, and other two are not marked. RC often just used paper labels which fell off over time. This item has 3 minor flaws but they really do not show unless you are looking for them; see photos 6, 7, 8. It has a tiny fleabite on bottom front rim; it has what I think is a clay separation line near the inner hollow part on left side of taller bird. Clay separation lines happen when the pottery is fired and the clay shrinks. Last flaw is on backside bottom which has a tiny 1/2 circle hairline. The figurine displays fine and is not an easy item to find according to the book. Price reflects the flaws. 2/15

California Vintage Bird Planter Gorgeous vintage bird planter. Beautiful planter with incised mark: Lane & Co., 1959, Van Nuys, Calif, USA. Lane was only in business from the 1950-60's but made lovely art pottery tv lamps and planters. There is a tv lamp similar to this planter that I found on line. This is a large planter even though it may appear small in the photos; that's because I had to take the photos from a distance in order to fit it all in. It is 10.25 tall x 7.5 long x 4 deep. It has one teensy chigger bite on one of the birds beaks; see the magnified photo #8. It is barely noticeable in real life and could be touched up with black gloss paint. The coloring on this planter is exceptional. Not sure if the birds are blue jays or blue birds. It does not appear to have ever been used for live plants. 10/18
