Vintage Burley Winter Art Pottery
Vintage Burley Winter art pottery vase. c:1872-1930's. Blended glaze of deep cranberry and green. This vase has incised number #53 on bottom and is show in on D. Swingle's book on pg. 29. No chips or cracks and stands 7 inches tall. That line near top rim is not a crack; just a depression/gouge in the clay; other side is fine. And, it must have been a factory mold problem because I have come across this same vase with same flaw in it. It's a beauty despite that one flaw on one side! Guaranteed authentic vintaqe BW Pottery. uticcs5.07

Vintage Burley Winter Cookie Jar
Vintage Burley Winter Pottery beanpot cookie jar. c:1872-1930's. Being sold as a collectible display item only; I did not manufacture it so I don't know what is was made with; it might not be safe for food use. This is a good sized beanpot and/or cookie jar, and is shown on pg. 28 of D. Swingle's book. It is 6.75 tall, very fat, and has an incised mark on bottom but the mark is hard to read. No chips or cracks; but it was missing the original lid so I substituted an antique stipled saltglaze lid atop it and it is a fairly close match except the lid has none of the aqua color on it. There is one tiny lead line near top rim of pot, (looks like a hairline, but it's not), and it has some dirt residue on interior, (someone used it as a planter). It looks fine without lid as a vase, or with the added lid. Since the lid fits down into the pot, it does not really show much anyway. Book value in 1999 was $200-250.
