Antique Book - Indians Today
Antique book titled Indians Today. c.1926. By Flora Seymour, published by Benj. H. Sanborn & Co. No other copyright date in this book so I assume it's a lst edition. Apparently this was the property of the South Intermediate School. The book has a stamp that says it is no longer the property of S. Intermediate Library. The author was a member of the Board of Indian Commissioners. This book is chock full of condescending language regarding Native Americans, and stereotypes. However, it does has some nice pictures of various Native Americans, e.g., George Gist, Dr. Charles A. Eastman, Chief Joseph, etc. Some are reprints from the Smithsonian, and some are original photos taken by the author's husband George Seymour. The hardcover edges are slightly tattered, and there is one page that has some tape on it, and another that has a corner torn off and that's about it; the rest of the book is fine.

General Motors 75th Anniversary Auto Book
General Motors 75th anniversary auto book. (not vintage yet, but is collectible!) This book was issued on GM's 75th Anniversary in 1983, thus, it is not only a lst edition book, but also a limited edition book. It has wonderful color photos of all the cars GM ever produced, from the classic to the futuristic experimentals on just about all of its 223 pages. The upper right corner is frayed on inside; and binding is a little loose. You could just display it, or take out the pictures for framing or reselling. brncs

First edition book titled Thimbles and Sewing Implements by Estelle Zalkin. c:1988, hardcover, 274 pgs., very good, like new condition. Great book with color and black & white pictures of all kinds of sewing implements/notions not just thimbles. This would make a great gift for a crafter. It does not have a dust jacket and I have not seen any with a dust jacket on the net so it likely did not come with one when new. Roberts, M.D. Soft cover; 90 full color gorgeous plates/prints depicting groups of birds; all the plates are suitable for framing if desired. The plates are in good condition; binding is okay; some wear on soft cover and some tiny soil spots on some pages, but not on the color plates.
