Zanesville Stoneware Flower Vase Lovely vintage Zanesville Stoneware gloss vase. The book calls the color seacrest green; I call it aqua. This American vase is shown in the book by J. Rans on Zanesville Stoneware Co., pg. 76. No chips or cracks; just a bit of mineral residue on interior of pot and typical runny glaze . It is 4 tall x 4.5 wide at top rim. Likely made in the 1930's. ZSC is no longer in business. 2/09rocs

Art Pottery Vases Vintage Three vintage pottery vases for one price. You can purchase individually or all three for this discounted price. The one in the center of pic is a Weller vase c: 1927. It is 5 inches tall x 3 wide. It has a tiny faint vertical hairline on top rim which is hard to see or get a picture of. The next vase is almost 5.5 tall x 4.25 wide at top rim. It fades to white on interior bottom; some crazing, mainly on interior bottom. A couple of old iron? spots. Very nice looking vase but is not marked. The last vase has incised number #223 and it looks like a Made in USA mark but the writing is backwards. It might be an early Brush McCoy or other company. This vase is 5.75 tall; no chips or cracks; some blackish freckles on lower body, see pic. Great assortment for your arts and crafts room decor! 10/13;can't locate one vase

It has yellowish dry clay bottom; flat/matte turquoise color; no chips or cracks. Fairly large and likely made by a professional in a studio, 'studio art pottery'. Might be a Pewabic Pottery artist. It is almost 3 inches tall tall x 4.5 wide. A beautiful frog for your collection! 3/23

Vintage Art Pottery Vase Vintage art pottery vase. Nice looking gloss aqua vase with some flecks of black. Interior has yellow streaks and bottom is dry yellow clay. It is 7 inches tall. It has a tight hairline on top rim edge; hard to get a good photo if it; and a small scratch or hairline on the interior. You have to put it under your nose to discover those flaws; see pics 5-6. Displays fine. Not sure who made it; but I'd guess it is from the Zanesville, Ohio area due to the yellow clay. 10/13estcs

Early Art Pottery Vase Striking signed early hand formed art pottery vase. The bottom looks like E. Blun or Ed Blun; the 'D' is a bit far from the E so not sure if it is E. or Ed. Anyway, this is an oldie, but goodie! Matte aqua finish and rays of lighter clay coming up from the bottom. It stands 7 inches tall and has 2 handles. Around the handle ends the aqua glaze missed and those areas are the lighter color clay but there is clear glazing over those areas. It has a couple of tiny glaze bubble pops also. Overall, it is a very nice piece of pottery. Great for a mission/arts and crafts room or collection. Age est: 1920's. 10/13nh

Art Pottery Vintage Vase Vintage hand formed art pottery vase. Heavy vase; no chips or cracks. This vase was hand formed, not made in a mold. Age estimate: 1930's. Dry tan/yellow clay on bottom. One circular glaze miss along bottom rim edge. It stands 6 inches tall x almost 4 inches wide across the bottom. It has an old pencil price on bottom of 50 cents. It looks like something Zanesville Stoneware Co. would have made but it could also be another company like Bauer. A nice piece of art pottery to add to your collection or use as a vase! 7/18ut

Signed Vintage Art Pottery Vase Signed art pottery vase. Very unique art pottery. It is a heavy, exceptionally well made matte aqua vase or ashtray that looks like Arts & Crafts/Studio pottery to me. It also bears an incised number and name on the bottom dry rims, however, I could not make out the name, so I put a water-based paint wash just over the incised mark to see if I could make out the name. It looks like there is a G-i-or l, then another letter, then an x, and then I can't make it out. The number looks like 4001 or 4004. (the paint has been removed). This item is in good condition, (the pics show some dirt but I have since cleaned this off); all-over very faint crazing that you can only see upon very close inspection. Again, the pics on this one just do not capture how really well-made this item is. It measures 6 long, 3 wide x 4 tall. Age est: 1920's.

Large Vintage Flower Frog Large vintage flower frog. 99% sure it is a Zanesville Stoneware Co. frog due to the runny glaze on bottom and distinctively yellow clay. Large Vintage Aqua Large Vase Large vintage art pottery aqua vase. Very nice old vase; not sure which company made it. My guess is either Red Wing, a California company or Camark. It looks kind of small on the photos because I had to take the photo further away to get it to fit in. In one of the photos it is next to a good sized McCoy planter and it is much larger. The underlying clay is white and it has 3 stilt marks on the bottom. It is quite large standing 9 inches tall x 10.25 wide. It has some areas where the aqua glaze is thin with the white clay peeking through. On the bottom rid edge there is a tiny spot where the glaze is flaked off or that was a bubble pop. Overall condition is very good vintage. It's a very cool old vase; if I come across it in one of my books I will revise the description. 10/14

Ball Pitcher Jug Vintage USA Vintage USA ball pitcher jug. This item is being sold as a collectible display item, since it might not be safe for food use due to its age. Great AQUA color, good looking ball pitcher/ice jug! It has incised 'USA' mark on the bottom. Likely a McCoy, Shawnee, or other vintage American pottery company. It actually looks just like the McCoy pitcher shown on pg. 123 of 1980 book by Bob Huxford. A nice piece for a pitcher or pottery collection This was likely made in the 1930's.

Cronin Vintage Ball Pitcher Vintage Cronin China Blue Tulip ball pitcher. c:1950's. Incised USA mark on bottom and was made by the Cronin China Co. and Cameron Clay Products of W. Va. This pitcher is being sold as a collectible item, not for food use since I did not manufacture it and I don't know if it has anything harmful in it There is an entire dinnerware line of this too. The pattern also matches the DRU Holland Enameled cast iron cookware from the 1950's. No chips or cracks; a couple of pin head size glaze pops. It is 8 tall; has some crazing on upper portion of handle; and interior. I also have the matching teapot for sale separately. Pic #7-8 shows the matching Dru Holland cast iron cookware.

Vintage Art Pottery Pitcher Very cool old pitcher. My guess is Bauer, possibly Zanesville. Modern looking, yet vintage retro. Has 3 stilt marks on bottom; just one glaze miss on bottom edge. No chips or cracks; all over crazing and some spidering. It is 6.5 tall. Yellow clay peeking through the aqua glaze. Being sold as a collectible display item since it is old and might not be safe for food or liquids. Vintage Placemats and Napkins Vintage placemats and napkins. 4 Cool retro LINEN placements and matching 4 napkins. These feature an aqua pitcher with daisies in them. The pattern reminds me of some of the popular dinnerware lines in the 1950's, (Homer Laughlin, Hall China, Stetson, etc.). No spots or holes. These do not appear to have ever been used; the napkins are still stapled together. The placemats just need an ironing with starch, and measure 17 long x 12.5 wide. Very retro! Thanks for visiting More Than McCoy!

maj110510

Vintage Majolica Style Butter Pat Majolica style handled tray/butter pat. It looks like an aster flower; and it has an incised mark on bottom and a worn, smooth aged bottom rim. There is a small plate that looks very similar to this item in the book on Majolica. It has one fleabite on edge, and one tiny surface flake on a flower tip; and some crazing. Even if this is not antique Majolica, it will fit in with other Majolica quite nicely. And, if it is antique Majolica, then you're getting a great deal! It is 8 x 7 inches. (Incised mark on bottom is a circle with a J or C in it; and looks like a V and 6, but not sure.

Vintage Weller Monochrome Dish Garden Vintage Weller Pottery Monochrome dish garden. c.1920's and is marked w/the die impressed Weller Ware mark. No chips or cracks. If you can't see the mark clearly in the pics, the book on Weller Pottery shows the mark that is on this vase. It has one glaze pop as you can see in the pics. (it looks bigger in the pics than it actually is because it is a close-up shot), and one small dark spot on the rim, which just looks like some of the glaze did not mix correctly, (this is an aqua color with other colors mixed in, and the book does specify that these have blotchy marks on them). It measures 7.25 wide x 2 high. A great piece to start your Weller collection with! These low vases look fabulous with vintage flower frogs in them or river rocks and faux cactus! Guranteed authentic vintage Weller Pottery.

pzanes1504

Zanesville Centerpiece Vase Large Very large vintage Zanesville Stoneware centerpiece vase. Thick, heavy vase made by ZSC which is no longer in business. 15 wide x 7 tall. It has an incised stamp mark on bottom that is shown on pg. 37 of the 2002 book by Jon Rans; and the vase itself is shown on a catalog page on pg. 218, mold #826. The bottom stamp reads: Henry Foster Finer Flowers Fisher Bldg. The stamps were put on at the Zanesville plant and then shipped to various florist shops according to the book. There is a Fisher Bldg. in Detroit, and this was probably made for that florist when Detroit was still a thriving city, pre-1950's. This wonderful, unique, vase, has no chips or cracks and just the typical Zanesville pinpops and runny glaze. Looks great as a table centerpiece, atop a vintage plant stand, or on top of a corner cabinet.
