Victorian porcelain biscuit jar. Age est: late 1800's-early 1900's. Gorgeous biscuit jar with gold background and large blue leaves. The gold looks like 24 K but I can't verify that. There is a crown and shield? symbol on the bottom and an initial B #5221, but the backstamp itself is very old and blurred. The silverplate rim has an EPNS mark. This jar stands 6.75 tall not counting handle. Some wear here and there as expected, but the overall condition is good, no chips or cracks. I would guess it is English; they were famous for their biscuit jars during the Victorian era and due to the crown backstamp; probably from the Staffordshire region. This beautiful jar will add some pizzaz to your collection! 2/14s
