Circa: 1970's Manufacturer: Wagner Mfg. Co.
Vintage Wagner Ware Magnalite large stovetop pan with lid. This is a large pan; bottom marked: USA 11.24 inches, 285 cm, GHC Magnalite. GHC stands for General Housewares Corp. and is Wagner Ware's professional line from the 1970's; said to be the best cookware ever made. Magpro is the nickname for it. There is a company producing this stuff now, but I don't think it is produced in the USA and the feedback I've read on the new line is negative. Bottom of handle has a #5, (for 5 Qt?). The pan without lid on is 4 inches tall; it has 2 pour spouts; and with lid on it is 7.75 tall. I don't think it was ever used but does have some scuffing and slight scratches on the exterior, but not bad at all. This type of pan is supposed to be great for making stew, pot roast, etc. 9/12cs |
