Antique brass bucket with wrought iron stand. Bucket has copper riveting where iron handles attach. I can make out Feb. 13 on bottom, and a B, and then an A. Likely late 1800's. It is 7 tall x 10 one way x 11 the other way. Bucket is a bit oblong; bottom is not flat, (you can pound it flatter with a rubber mallet). It sits and displays fine in the iron stand. The stand is 21 inches tall. Not sure what the function was for this size bucket; maybe for dumping fireplace ashes in? You could use it as a unique plant stand or as a fireplace accessory. 4/12nhcs |
