Manufacturer: Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co.
Huge vintage RRP porch jar. It is 12 wide x 11 inches tall. It has a very faint USA mark on bottom and a '180/' mark. RRP is the only company I know that used the 'number and slash' mark. Age est: 1930's. It has crazing and some pinpops, but no chips or cracks. If you want to use outside as a flowerpot, you should drill a hole in center bottom. Very attractive design on it. You have to turn it several ways in the light to see the marks because they are very faint. Three stilt marks on interior bottom which is why I think is is an earlier piece and aqua was hot back in the 30's! 4/12nhcs |
