Circa: 1920's Manufacturer: Armor Bronze
Antique Armor Bronze bookends titled 'Thoroughbred', c:1925. Bottom base is bronze clad and I think the horses are too but not sure. They both have very old felt bottoms with the AB labels, Taunton, Mass. Note the old State abbreviation. Dark patination; some spotting and wear. And on the back of one of the horses ear is a tiny break or separation line; the ear is still on and you can't see it unless looking for it. The ears would be the most prone to damage so just be careful when handling these. They are 8 tall x 8 long. 4 lbs. each. It might be worth it to have the exteriors refinished by a pro. 9/11est# |
