Circa: 1800's Manufacturer: Orson Starr
Large antique Orson Starr cowbell. c:1800's. Probably was made for a bull. Original black paint; handle is a bit irregular; raised name: 'O Starr #6'. It is 7.5 tall x 5.5 wide. Iron. No clapper so I improvised with an old leather string and antique fishing weight. You can find an on-line site that does replacement clappers, leave as is, or find a welder to make one. O Starr was located in Royal Oak, MI in the 1800's and he made these cowbells. Awesome accessory for a western or country themed abode! The red one in one of the pics has sold; this is the only O Starr left and they are extremely hard to find. 10/10mm# |
