Lovely vintage mother of pearl inlay marquetry box. Age est:1930's-40's. It is 3 tall x 10 x 6.5. Exterior is in good overall vintage condition; has one tiny bit of wood missing near bottom corner; interior red velvet is a bit dirty and fabric edges could be re-glued since they are separating. Not sure if this is a box to hold cigars or game pieces like chess/checkers. Just a nice accessory item. It was likely made in Egypt or Syria. 10/09mcesa
