Manufacturer: Monmouth?
Antique stoneware bowl. Also called a French pan or milk bowl. Monmouth made the same shape, but I did not see this design in the book. Might also be UHL. It is 7 tall x 9 wide; no chips; some lines in clay, crazing on interior, and some glaze pops. Upper rim has one tiny glaze separation line, (this is not a man-made crack; no change in color; the clay sometimes splits when fired and glaze oozes into it). Very cool old bowl! 11/08brcs |
