Antique Royal Bonn tray. Feels like semi-porcelain. c:1836-1920. A lot of crazing on this tray and some wear off painted flowers. On backside rim edge there are 3 old surface flakes, but these are not visible on the frontside. This tray is 12.75 long x 9.25 wide. Very shabby chic looking! Green castle Bonn backstamp on back, (backward FAM mark inside castle), then Bonn, Germany. FAM stands for Franz Anton Mehlem, and has an impressed circular stamp mark FAM, Franz Anton Mehlem, Bonn, something: and incised number #1599. The low price reflects the aging flaws. |
