Two decorative cabinet plates for one price. The smaller one is Pickard, the other one is unmarked. The Pickard plate is the one shown in the 2nd picture and is signed on the front: H.G., and on the back in green: Limoges France, and in circle, Handpainted China, W Pickard A. The two marks indicate that this is a French limoges porcelain plate that was hand decorated by the Pickard Decorating Studio in the US before Pickard started manufacturing its own porcelain. This plate features pink roses, sailboat, sunset, lake and heavy gold edge. It is 6 x 6 inches; no chips or cracks. Next is a bit larger unsigned plate featuring poppies and thick, gold trim. This plate is 8 x 8 inches and is likely limoges also. These would be great framed! |
