Circa: 1935 Manufacturer: Weller Pottery Co.
Large vintage Weller Pottery Cameo console vase. c:1935-late 1930's. LARGE matte aqua vase; the book calls it a 'Flower Arranger', and is shown on pg. 339 of the 1979 book by S. Huxford. I call it a console vase. It has incised mark: Weller Pottery Since 1872, and looks like an Artist initial. It is 14.5 long and a bit over 3 tall. It has one very faint, tight hairline on backside; just looks like a vertical craze mark, but it is a hairline. Other than that insignificant flaw, it does not appear to have ever been used; minimal crazing. Two small spots on rim where aqua color did not adhere; but it is glazed over. Price is reduced a bit for the minor flaw. Guaranteed authentic vintage Weller Pottery! |
