Vintage Homer Laughlin Platter. c:1932. Nice old platter. It does have some condition problems which is why the price is so low. It is backstamped in green: HLC symbol, Homer Laughlin, Made in USA L 32 N, which means December 1932, Plant 4, see Lehner's Book of Marks pg. 246. The flower motif on this platter is what caught my attention; it is very striking. Backside of platter has the 3 kiln marks; and one small rim chip, and is showing wear marks. The chip is barely detectible from the frontside. Front side is also showing a bit of wear: crazing, and a couple of small discolored spots. It is a very heavy platter that you can actually use since it's not perfect! It is 13.25 x 9.75 inches. |
