Circa: 1882 Manufacturer: Brunt Family Associates
Attractive antique game platter featuring a woodlands pheasant scene. p. c.1882-1903, Liverpool, Ohio. It is marked on the backside: 'Dresden Semi-Porcelain' inside a wreath. The mark appears in the 1988 Lehner's book of Marks on pg. 60, as mark 15, and dates from the above time period. The company name is Brunt Family Associates which was known by several other names; part of the Potter's Cooperative. This platter is 13.75 x 10 inches. It has some flaws: all over crazing, and is quite discolored on the backside; also has a small chip on backside rim which barely permeates front. It is nice despite the aging flaws; it would be great in a hunting lodge; cottage; bed-and-breakfast, etc. |
