Antique stoneware chick feeder. Hard to find unique item! Some books refer to them 'sanitary poultry fountains', or 'sanitary milk feeders'. It is missing the bottom stoneware pan, but I substituted an antique grey graniteware pan which looks good and works just fine. This chick feeder stands 9.25 tall x 7.5 wide across bottom rim. It has one noticeable glaze pop, and a tiny fleabite off middle rim; nothing major for an oldie like this! This feeder could be a McCoy, Zanesville, Monmouth, RRP, or any of the great old American pottery companies; they all made these. |
