Antique Wagner cast aluminum coffeepot. c:1902. It has a hardwood handle, most of black paint is worn off, and cast aluminum body. It is marked on the bottom: Wagner Sidney O Pat'd Feb. 18, 1902. You could refurbish the handle w/black paint. It is about 7.5 high x 8 wide. Some minor scratching on exterior, but no dings; there is some wear on the interior, but overall it is pretty darn good for being over 100 years old! FYI: Did you know that aluminum was being made as far back as 1890. Wear-Ever and Wagner were two of the major companies producing it. This is a great old pot to display alongside your other antique cast alum., tin, pewter, chrome, zinc, etc. items, they all kind of blend together! |
